Terminator 5/Terminator: Genisys, opening July 1, 2015
peter replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Flinching used to bug me as well, but then so did fingers always on the trigger and full-auto shooting from the hip, with unlimited ammo, but it’s Hollywood so I’ve come to expect that they seldom get it right. When they do get it right, it’s pretty awesome. Good example is Tom Cruise in Collateral. CG Arnie is good, but I guess CG technology still isn’t quite there yet where they can just CGi Arnie altogether and just have him do the voice. Tron was well done, but still looked a bit funny. Facial expressions and talking still need work.- 508 replies

Interested to see more of T1 Arnie, will there be more/new CGI scenes of him in his prime side-by-side with present–day arnie?- 508 replies

LOL, when you said big scale, I thought it was some custom jobby in someones basement that was like that lego monster someone built of IJN Yamato or something truly massive. Still, thats a pretty nice build of the 1/500. I was tossing around the idea of picking up the GX64 on sale at amazon right now (Its dirt cheap right now at $179) but the more I look at it, the more I realize how lacking in detail it is compared to a real model like the 1/500. I havent built a model in years, but I think I might get back into it just to tackle this one. $179 for a completely built Yamato on a smaller scale with lights and sound, hassle free, versus $100 for a larger scale, more detailed kit that I have to build myself.....I’d get both, but the wife would have my balls. This is still one of my favourite 1/500 builds that Ive seen so far: Love the wood decking and blue lighting treatment in contrast to the standard grey decking and green light windows.

So Japanese, the thing he did with the arm when ordering the guns to fire on the rebel ship, not to mention the "Macross" missiles. Awesome, wish they made more. Dafuq? Haha, I was about to say he needs a tissue, then the bastard started to rub one out with the droid or whatever that was and I had to turn that $hit off.

I think it was during a conversation with Uncle Owen about staying on another season and going to the Acedemy next year. Anyways, seems like it was explained in the novels.

I’ve got a couple of questions I was wondering if someone here knew. Luke mentioned that he wanted to go to “The Academy”, which academy is that, the Imperial Academy? Because he also knew about the Rebellion against the Empire, so who’s side was he on? Also, has there been any talk about whether or not any of the clone troopers from Clone Wars will make an appearance in Star Wars Rebels? It’d be cool to find out what happened to Cody and Rex. I don’t know about anyone else, but some of those troopers really grew on me and thought it was pretty cool that they touched on their individual personalities in Clone Wars.

Anyone here detailing up the Hasbro Hero series Millenium Falcon? http://www.scalemodeladdict.com/SMF/index.php/topic,11788.0.html -
Wife brought up an interesting point, said it reminded her of a scene in DYRL.

Woah, is this the real deal? I heard there was a pretty impressive fan-film floating around out there. Either way, I think I liked it. Millenium Falcon's really maneuverable. X-wings flying in atmo over water is interesting. As a sword practitioner, yeah, laser sword guards will result in self-amputation. They looked effin cool, despite being very dangerous for the user. Haha, the Falcon has a new radar dish

+1, just having a little fun with it. I doubt anything will stop me from going to see this unless they suddenly make an announcement saying, just kidding, Michael Bay was filling in for JJ this whole time

The Force Awakens? Please tell me that’s not the title of episode VII. The link doesn't work for me here on the work computer, will have to wait till I get home to see what's behind that door.

Macross, Anime and Sci-Fi in the Seattle Area

There are a few shops up here in Vancouver if you ever find yourself driving north of the border. I’ve seen the B17, it’s awesome. They’ve got a B29 under wraps right now too, can’t wait to see the restoration on that complete.
