Lost in Space series a Netflix adventure?
peter replied to 007-vf1's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Glad Season 2 is finally here, was starting to wonder if it was ever going to get done. Surprised the kid doesn't appear to have aged a lot. -
At a quick glance, definitely hard to tell apart. I doubt I'll get DX dupes of the Yammies I already have.

This series has piqued my interest a lot more than STD (still haven't watched a single episode yet).

Interesting. So a beam gun doesn't have rounds fed from a magazine....so the banana shaped mag is actually actually battery or something? Also agree that if it is an energy weapon, it would probably have no recoil, and no she'll casings to eject.

Has anybody been by Tamashi Nations Tokyo in Akihabara recently? Just wondering what the likelihood of them actually having any 1/48s in stock.
-
I was just thinking they have a similar silhouette. You could add in the shell casings ejecting for something of a different effect, don't recall seeing that in Mospeada, though I have seen shells eject from a Valkyrie's gun pod. Anyway, just some suggestions, hope to see you do more awesome videos

I sort of regret not getting Yamato. Saw a few of the starter pieces for pretty cheap earlier this year when I was there....at least if I started, I'd have to finish it. -
That sounds like me after watching any film involving firearms or Japanese sword arts. I'm pretty sure I'm not smart enough to dislike Ad Astra, lol!

I almost went to see it.......nothing in particular that stopped me, just finding the time.

Yeah, that's the thing, I wouldn't pay anything for shipping outside of Japan. I'd have the kits shipped to the in-laws in Japan and I'd bring home a batch once or twice a year, like with Azuchi castle. Maybe I should do this, lol! -
Yeah, I'm not particularly proud of those years, and I don't smoke weed anymore nor do I have any desire to, even though our idiot Prime Minister made it legal. I was however, of the opinion that Kawamori-san must have been high as a kite when he did M7. M+ came out 25Aug94 and M7 came out 16Oct94. I was 19 at the time, so I figured he did M+ for fans like me and he did M7 for the another audience. Sorry for going off topic, but I guess most of us can agree that whoever's coming up with stuff for the Robotech comic must be smoking crack.

I sort of got the green light to get this. When I showed the wife, she was surprised I didn't want it. The mother in law got me the Deagostini Azuchi castle, and I've been slowly bringing the bits back from Japan over the years, so this sort of thing isn't shocking for her. I really wanted Yamato when it first came out, but I passed because I could not in good conscience get that instead of feeding my kids. I may have to pass on this one as well, even though the wife sort of hinted it would be ok. -
I did, I tried I got through the whole thing, but the singing anti-war hippie just pissed me off. Then I decided to watch some of it after a few beers, but it just made me angry. A few years later (not my proudest years), I tried to watch it after smoking weed and yeah I laughed a bit, but I guess I wasn't high enough because I knew I still didn't like it. I could have sworn pedo-bear was in M7, but I guess that was the weed. I'd rank Robotech/HG below M7, but I can't recall a single thing I liked about M7, so my dislike for them is about equal. I liked M2 better than M7. Even though the main character in M2 was a journalist, I dislike anti-war singing space hippies more than journalists. I liked M+ if that means anything.

I don't recall UNS SDF1 decal on the outer thigh, is that in the line art anywhere?

Awesome video, well done! Hope you make more! I like the recoil effects on the Inbit, don't recall seeing that in the anime, but I like it. One suggestion however: Maybe less recoil with the Legioss and it's gunpod. I always imagined that the gunpod would behave more like an MP-5SD rather than a 50bmg (scaled up) and the Legioss would have better recoil management. My two cents.

Good info for the uninformed (me). I was just wondering to myself why is it so difficult for Bandai to keep $hit like this in production as there is clearly a demand for it. Now I know why.

the 1/72 Hasegawa is truly a pain in the dick to build. I started one 10-15 years ago, and it's just been so off-putting to continue that it was partly the reason I stopped building models altogether. I recently got back into the game, and I still find it off-putting, lol!
