On a positive note, it is a very nicely done 1/48 Hasegawa build.

Also, in terms of facts, nothing is fact unless backed up by sufficient evidence. The evidence you have provided is not sufficient. What we have is a statement from you saying you have a source in Bandai that stated such and such, accompanied by images of a Hasegawa 1/48. I can understand that if you did indeed have a friend working for Bandai, you would not want to compromise their employment by posting their e-mail with the company letter head and your contact's name, but when you post such a statement, then post images of a product from a different company, you should expect a little push-back.

@bbilly29 Please clarify the source of the photos. Are these images what your friend from Bandai sent you, or did you just grab them from somewhere to illustrate your point? Also, please clarify if you can tell the difference between the Hasegawa 1/48, the Yamato 1/48 and the Bandai DX 1/48. You're claim that the images you posted are of a toy that can transform suggest you may not be able to tell the difference. Apart from staff working at Hasegawa, Yamato, and Bandai, you're posting to some of the internet's foremost experts on these particular toy/model lines who take extreme pleasure in scrutinizing the minutiae of every single detail of these products.

Those pics are totally meaningless. Someone's speculation or just an attempt to post something related to the scale. It looks to me like a Hasegawa 1/48.

I thought it was Cullen....wow, sure gets the voice right. -
I wasn't really picking.......just stating my observations based on the photograph provided. I did say it looked better than the MPC, so my opinion wasn't entirely negative. I'd probably have to see it from other angles, with comparisons to other toys as well as line art, and in the other modes to formulate a better opinion, but I will admit, it doesn't look horrible with what information I have seen. I'm glad we agree on the chicken fingers, and I understand that maybe it's the limitation of the scale, but even if it were a Bandai product, it would still be a deal breaker for me. I'm not at all happy with my 1/48 Yammies with the chicken fingers, which is why I like the DX line - the standard articulated hands are passable, without swapping to the fixed pose hands provided.

I would say it's not entirely impossible for the next release to be Kakizaki. The odds are favorable that Kakizaki's will be released eventually since Bandai teased his DYRL Valk a while ago. But I think it would be more likely we eventually get a DYRL Kakizaki over a TV version sometime in the future.

I wouldn't go that far. Looks ok, definitely light years ahead of the Robocrap MPC, but the hands on these are close to looking like chicken-fingers. Seeing some paint pooling on top of dust/sand particles on the feet. Maybe I just don't like it because it's associated with HG and Robotech........which doesn't really matter at the end of the day because pretty much all Valk toys are made in China/HK anyway.

Hachette Collection 1/24 VF-1S (subscription collectable)
peter replied to CF18's topic in Model kits
I don't know about online, but in Japan, these are available as single issues in many book/hobby stores. You might be able to find an online shop that sell these individually so you can order the pilot figure when it comes out? If not, maybe look for a CMs? Not sure if these were the same scale, but CMs came out with these a few years ago: -

Don't the heads pop off of these things fairly easily? Any chance Bandai might just include a grey goggled 1J head with the GBP armor?

Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series

After watching the most recent trailer, I felt the exact same sentiments. I still like animated Anakin better than live action Anakin. Animated Anakin seemed more dark side capable and less whiny.- 1217 replies
