  1. I hope hayden took some tips from his animated self.....I really, really liked the animated version, even better than his live action depiction.
  2. Lol, if there are any lightsaber builders here in the Vancouver area, PM me, hahahaha! I have no clue where to go from here. Jokes aside, It might just end up being a static display piece because I don't have a clue when it comes to electronics and wiring.
  3. Oh, yeah, the verticle bits....that's due to poor construction on my part. It started off straight, but ended up leaning in some parts....made it from a Costco muffin tray, so I have no one to blame but myself for that. I should have taken my time, gotten some styrene sheets, meaasured and cut, but just wanted to build it with whatever I had laying around. And I also thought of justifying the lean as simulating the aftermath of an explosion, lol!
  4. Love it, hahahahaha!
  5. I had a sip of whiskey, took the masking tape off, and the thing didn't fall apart. Awesome. Now I wait for decals, then weathering. Oh, that's the first Revel 1/32 F14 I bought, but my dad claimed for himself. I'll get around to building my own one of these days.
  6. Someone caption this knifehand (mil term for giving someone $hit)
  7. Added a few greebles to the verticals bits. Itching to weather without the strongback decals and finish this thing off.......
  8. Oh, that would suck, all that work.....hope it works out.
  9. In an ideal world, Roy Focker and Saeba Ryo are actual the same person, and apparently impossible to kill.
  10. Lol, your responses about the F14 are giving me nightmarish flashbacks about the 537 Refit, hahahahaha!
  11. If it's a gloss coat, there's a youtube channel called Plasmo.....he sands his decals a lot, but from what I understand, he loads up the gloss coat on top of the decal before sanding.
  12. Lol, it still needs a lot of work, but thanks for the words of encouragement. I just recently discovered a FB page with lots of other 1/537 builds. Lots of anger, blood, sweat and tears in there, lol!
  13. Lol, it couldn't possibly be worse than the AMT 1/537 Enterprise Refit kit, hahahahaha! This is my second one. Long story short, I bought my first one years ago and my dad decided he wanted to build it so I let him have it. My dad is a casual builder and never got too serious, so he put it together and I have a complete one to look at for reference. There are definitely gaps in his build, so at least I know what to look for. I bought a second one at a model swap meet last year, but sadly, it will probably go into the pile of things to do for a while. I actually don't have space to display another monster like that so I have to do a little house cleaning and make some space
  14. Is that top coat a gloss coat or dull coat? I got that effect with a dull coat and just left it, haha!
  15. Yeah, the vertical bits do look too neat. I still have to find some door or port size greebles to stick on. I might even try drilling some holes. I have time though, since it might be a while before the strongback decals arrive.
  16. Another shot of the stand. I wonder if I should take off the masking tape, see if the whole thing falls apart?
  17. Ok, I have this horrible thing mocked up: Don't mind the masking tape, it's the only thing holding the neck and saucer to the secondary hull. Next to my most recent 537 build. Popped it onto a makeshift stand since I have no idea where the original stand is. Now it's waiting on the strongback decals and weathering.
  18. Looks cool though Actually, the lights do turn on, but not without squeezing the parts together. Electronics is not my forte, lol!
  19. Oh man, I wish there were some local lightsaber builders here in Vancouver. I got into a Korbanth LS6 Gullwing and I have no idea what I'm doing. I was barely able to get the blinky lights to work on the switch. The crystal it came with looks a bit lame, looks like one of those ring pops, but at least it turns on and chances color. I wasn't really happy with the way the thing slides up and down inside the hilt, so I ordered a chassis, but there is little hope for me to wire it up with the a blade, sound, and working lights.
  20. I enjoy shooting the big rounds, have a 50, but I also find a lot of enjoyment shooting my .22lr. I find it more challenging, and it's cheaper.....wayyyyyyyy cheaper, lol!
  21. My hippy-dippy grade 4 teacher made us sing it in class, lol!
