I thought that might be the case, the feet do look pretty big.

What Is The Quintessential Akira Bike/Rider Toy?
peter replied to sqidd's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The black one looks like a functional bike as well. Is it the same guy who did the red one or a different builder? -
Is there any imagery in the Focker one that really pops out? Still waiting to see if there's anything we have't really seen before to make me want to buy it. In the past, I've always found these at Book-Off in Japan for 500 yen so I usually don't order them brand new. They don't really "spark joy" compared to the Tenjin art books..

Lol, I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking that! Yeah, great work on the weathering and the photography.....but the Valk itself is UAF, hahahaha! Kawamori-san, stop self-medicating! Is it easy to stand? It looks really top heavy with those spindly legs and arms.

It's 10 inches long, so not huge, but a decent size to display. -
That is not cool.

Only a win if I had the $120,000 to build one myself, lol! But me being poor, I had to settle for the McFarlane Toys versions: There's also the bike only version: -

Blows my mind every time I come into this thread.

I had trouble with the plastic ones, nevermind PE.

Well, the Bandai one is 1/32 I think, so this is a bit smaller.
-
Someone got impatient and decided to build their own:

Looks awesome! I have mine sitting in a pile waiting to be done. Bandai should make a larger scale version, I bet it would sell. I've been trying to clean out space in my home so I can actually display completed models, so the K'tingas haven't been touched for a while. I'm also still waiting for the strongback decals for my Auto-destruct refit, but USPS seems to be a bit mucked up right now with no updates since 16Aug. I contacted HDA Modelworx and they said there is no rhyme or reason on when things eventually get delivered (I already got my K'tinga decals which I ordered around the same time). Hope to get back into it all soon.

Those are the coolest greebles ever, that camera part was a great idea! I wish i didn't recycle all of my old broken camera now and saved the parts.

Would love to see ILM kitbash that into a ship for a live action film

Not sure if this is a direct reference to Macross, but on the back of a Revell snap together Apache helicopter: Personally I have never see these markings on an Apache, but if it does exist out there, someone please let me know.

Is it just me or is the intake really big and hanging low on the aircraft?

@Hikaru Ichijo SL sorry for the late reply it's not the latest 1/500, it's this one, just before the current one.:
-
Lol, oops. Been trying find a similar deal, but no luck.
-
Nice pose, the toy/kit has some really wierd proportions though, which make is that? The Bandai 1/72 is weird too, but it doesn't look like the Bandai.
-
Holy crap, that is HUGE.

Lol, I wonder if they're sticking with the little bit of kanji in the corner, リミックス!!! So lame, did they think that would give them some sort of credibility as a Japanese manga or something? Not that it really matters, but I doubt there is a single strand of DNA working for HG producing RT. If there is, their ancestors would be rolling over in their graves. If anything, it should be 리믹스, lol!

Ok, thanks, I'll try to remain positive and keep my eyes wide open for a Roy on release date Thanks again
-
Oh, sorry, I was talking about the Roy PO. As others have said, it was an absolute bloodbath. I was on 5 different websites, even had the dang thing in my cart at some places, but in the end, I didn't get a single one due to time outs or website crash. Do you really think it's possible to get a Roy for MSRP on release date? That gets my hopes up and I'll give it another try to get one at that time. As for the Kaki, I remember TWE was't nearly as bad as Roy's preorder. I remember actually humming and hawing over it with one in my cart for a while with no issues.

Congrats dude, that's a pretty good price.
