Are they as bad as NY?
-
Wow, Bandai sure makes it a collosal pain in the dick to order this thing. Have a Japanese addres, but it doesn't take credit cards from outside of Japan. I tried to pay with Amazon Pay but I'm getting an error message about linking my amazon.o.jp account.

I can see scalpers salivating over this already, lol!

I might try to get one of these, even though the wife will be super pissed. I skipped the Kaki TWE and I sort of regretted it because it was a chance to get one of these at MSRP. Had it in the shopping cart for a while, the sale was open for a decent amount of time and it was nothing like the Roy pre-order $hitstorm. Will see if I can get it in my cart and checkout without difficulty, if not, I won't stress about it.

The Mandalorian - Star Wars webseries from Jon Favreau
peter replied to SMS007's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I'm sure they will explain it. So far, they've done a good job explaining a lot of questions that have popped up throughout the series....for example they found a way to explain why Mando refuses to take off his helmet when others before had no problem with it. They've explained whether or not Jango and Boba are Mandalorians or not....well, sort of, now it's sort of muddled again, lol! I wonder if Favreau and Filoni have it all planned out so that as the show progresses, it makes fans ask certain questions, then answer them in subsequent episodes. Or maybe they are watching social media and spotting things that they need to address?- 1438 replies

Did they de-age his voice too? Because normally he sounds like one of Marge's sisters.- 1438 replies

Lol, even in the same image they are different, not just the pylons....the little red dots on the HMMP-02....Max and Kakizaki are both symmetrical, Hikaru has both lefties (left from his point of view).
-
Lol, sorry guys, just me being bored and looking for something to talk about. In the end, I think we may have to chalk it up to animation errors, and it's a level of detail that even the creators, animators and toy companies never even paid attention to.

Weird, another detail I didn't notice. I was just thinking about the location of the little red dot on the HMMP-002, but now that you mention the missiles..... Max, Kakizaki and Hikaru were added in after, along with the weapons packs to Roy's Strike. The original box art didn't have the extra stuff. When I built my 1/72 Hasegawa, I made the HMMP-02 all the same so they are all interchangeable.

Waiting for Deepfake to fix parts of the last episode. I don't hate it, but it was pretty obvious. Good enough to move the story along, but can definitely be improved.- 1438 replies

The Slave 1 looks MASSIVE in the show, especially the interior, lol! -
Ok, time to get SUPER anal about the Super Packs. Question is about the HMMP-02 Seems like Bandai and Yamato have different opinions on this, ad even Tenjin varies this between box art. Is there supposed to be a designated left and right HMMP-02 used on both left and right NP-BP-01 (therefore appearing symmetrical), or is it supposed to be just one HMMP-02 which is used on both left and right NP-BP-01?

All kidding aside, I'm happy for Temuera that he could get back into this role again. I also really like the way Boba is being portrayed here, it appears he is heading down some redemption arc. Just hope he doesn't go bad or get killed off too early. I also hope that he can play the Captain Rex we got to know in Clone Wars and Rebels.- 1438 replies

The market value on these things is absolutely bonkers. Some of them cost as much as their DX 1/48 counterparts. I was in Japan and I found a 1/60 Strike Roy V2 BNIB for less that an HMR Roy at another shop. I don't get the appeal, they aren't that much cheaper than something way bigger and more detailed. At this very moment, I'm looking online and I see a VF-1J GBP HMR for ¥28,000 and they have the Arcadia VF-1J GBP 1/60 for ¥23,370, and nevermind the fact that the 1/60 was on sale last week for ¥18,000.

The body type might actually be perfect anyway, considering how we saw Rex at the end of Rebels. So, in relation to Capt Rex, Boba Fett should appear younger than Capt Rex right?- 1438 replies

Yup, I mentioned that, but in a later post. Anyway, to each their own. Glad we're seeing more open box pics of the toys themselves now ....for a while, it was just pages and pages of shipping updates, lol!

Did all of the above except the monitor app and be in Japan (I missed the Hikaru release date by a day or so, left just a bit too early. I had 4 or 5 websites up, hitting refresh on a rotation, for three straight hours, no dice pre-order night. Even had one in my cart at one point but two sites crashed on me. In the end, I paid the mark up and got one on release date, but it's not about the money, I make a decent living and I'm not crying about the difference of about $50. It's just seeing the greed in people that's off-putting. Oh well, to each their own. Some people hoard toilet paper and Lysol wipes during a pandemic, I guess others hoard Valkyries, lol!
-
Yeah, who knows if that guy ordered all of those on pre-order night. Maybe he paid the mark-up like I did on release date and he needs 16 of these things. All I know was a bunch of us were here, up all night trying to snag one for MSRP on pre-order night, some scored one or more, but many like me got jack $hit.
-
Not for 18,900 yen
-
How does one guy get so many, when I stay up in the middle of the night and can't even get one? Not going to lie, I'm a little peeved about seeing this sort of thing.
-
Are you planning to do anything with the pilot and cockpit? I was thinking about robbing my Hasegawa 1/48 kit of a pilot....and even considered chopping the SDFM centre control stick....but not sure I should go that far in butchering the DX.
