I remember people arguing about Phantom Menace back on the old boards, saying it had religious references.......

1/48 is the only wa to go. I hate the 1/60 Yamato just as much as I hate the MPC. Once you get your first 1/48, you'll never look back......everything else seems mediocre (sp?).

I'm in Japan right now and this place called Book-dome that sells second hand toys, books, cds and stuff have the Minmei doll for 6,000 yen. They've also got a Hikaru with the clear hair for 4,000 yen. Talk about pricey. There's a place in Richmond, BC that sells the entire set for $50 CAD and I thought I was getting hosed. Guess I'll be going back to that shop when I get back to Canada.

What the hell, I'm in Japan right now and the stores are already sold out of Dengeki Hobby for July. It's only June 27 and they're selling August issue already! Guess I7m going to have to wait until someone dumps off a July issue at Book-off or Book-dome.

I haven't read that book (the bible) so I can't really say much about the comparison between Macros and that religion, but I doubt Shoji is a follower.

Hello Ever, Welcome to MW! I'm sure some members will take you up on your offer to "do" them, but I'm not like that, and besides, we just met. All kidding aside, I've been following your 1/32 scratchbuild project, and I am very excited about it. Don't worry too much about being able to sell copies once you are finished, because where there is a will, there is a way. I'm sure you'll have plenty of interested customers who will line up to get a kit from you, as long as the price is reasonable. I also noticed that you plan to sell painted versions, which I think is great. Good luck and I'm glad you haven't not given up. All of your hardwork will be worth it in the end. I'm not sure where you live in Mexico, but I spent a week in Alcapulco, and it was absolutely beautiful, not to mention all of the Coronas I drank in Tijuana, and lobsters I ate in Rosarita. Please consider me to be an interested customer. Sincerely, Christopher Weren't you building a 1/32 scale scratchbuild project, or was that someone else?

I hate automatic transmissions.... I *ucked one up really bad in one of my cars once. Some people like to shift between D1 and D2 or whatever. I took that one step further in one of my cars. 1976 Honda Civic comes with a Hondamatic transmission, which means you need to be in D1 from a dead stop, and shift into D2, there's no clutch so essentially, it's automatic. I was approaching a corner, speed 60km/hr, and decided it was a little quick so I was going to toss it in neutral, blip the throttle, and drop it from D2 to D1. I even got pretty good with the heel and toe in this car. Well, this one day, I depressed the button on the shifter and went a little beyond neutral. At 60km/hr, the car went into reverse and the car came to a grinding halt. Miraculously, I was able to start the car after that and it was still driveable....with some aweful noises coming from the tranny. A few weeks later, I did the same thing again (I really abused this car), but this time, something else broke. I inched it into a parking stall and went to class like nothing happened. By the time I came back, the car was swimming in a pool of transmission oil. Anyway, I got rid of the transmission in that car, along with the motor and swapped it for a 2001 Acura EL motor with a 5 speed manual transmission. Horsepower increase from 57hp to 126hp....can't wait to get it back on the road. -
Sorry for posting such a huge file the last time this pic appeared....hope this is an ok size.....haha, probably wondering why the hell this pic keeps coming back.

Just watched ep 4....hm....not many people liked the flying rocks huh? What would Kawamori's froating head say about you guys? Anyway, it was different, I'll give it that. I guess Macross Zero isn't for everybody. I personally hated Mac 7 and I dismiss it as a Macross product altogether, but that's just me. Same thing goes for Macross Zero, there are those that are absolutely going to hate it, and some who love it, and then some who aren't sure yet, like me. How many episodes is this thing going to be? Roy losing his Zero was unexpected. I see a lot of people seem to think (or hope) that the VF-1 will make an appearance because of this? I for one and hoping for it, but somehow, I have a feeling it won't. Who knows, maybe he'll start off with a VF-1A?

Yeah, I thought it was a bit clean.....inside and out....but damn it was fast, not to mention an ass-breaking bumpy ride. No, it defintely was not someone's personal car.......it wasn't just decals. Not many fans will go to the trouble of getting a sequential gearbox -

I think it was just a messy display.

I've been there 4 times this year already, and I'm leaving for Japan next week, and I'll probably go again near the end of July. I don't usually stay in Tokyo, but my first point of entry is Narita. I know there's a pretty awesome toy store across from Ueno station. It's 6 floors and has a decent Macross selection. I was there once and found Hasegawa Super Battroid kits for 1,400 yen. There was a toy store in Akihabara that was clearing out 1/48 Hikaru VF-1S Valks super cheap...other than that, can't really tell you much else. Hey, anyone here from Tokyo? Want to meet up next week? I'll be hanging around Ueno eki for a couple of hours waiting for my shinkansen....my kei-tai number is 090-6627-5239. I'll be arriving in Narita at about 1500 on the 23rd of June and getting into Ueno eki at around 1645-1700 or so.....let me know!
