    Started to watch a cam version (pretty good version), got about 20 minutes into the movie and decided to turn it off. It was worth suing to get those 20 minutes of my life back, I would do it. I can't give you a review on the whole thing, but the first 20 minutes were hysterically stupid and lame. Story, acting, EVERYTHING SUCKED.

    I've never been on deck of a real big battleship, but the 1/1 scale movie set for the film "Yamato" was a pretty good substitute. I wanted to stay there all day and just soak it in. I'm really looking forward to seeing this new movie.....so glad that Hollywood didn't get their rat-claws on the rights to make it. Someone mentioned a live-action Macross Frontier? Is that the pron version Cosplay Frontier?

    Wow, are people still playing this game? This game's been out since the beginning of time! When this game first came out, I remember buying it from some Chinese CD/game shop! I started a chain with some other members where I copied the game, sent it to another Macrossworlder and made him promise to send it to someone else! I don't know how far it got, but this was way before downloading a game (that big - at the time it was too big to transfer) was feasable. I haven't played it for ages, maybe I should try it out, would it work on Win7?

    They're milking the franchise dry, just like the Wong Fei Hong series......which should have stopped at the second movie. A Bruce Lee movie would be really great, but at the same time, it's so easy to screw up. I thought that movie Dragon wasn't too bad, but it would be interesting to see it from an HK point of view.

    They should make some new Conan movies. I think the technology is getting to a point where they could probably do the thing entirely in CGI. They should use Arnie's likeness because for me, Arnold IS Conan. Conan has no other face.

    I tried to watch the original version the other day, and I have to say, it was phucking ghey. Yeah, sure, it was probably state of the art back then, but I couldn't sit throught it without cringing. Perseus looked like a homoerotic version of what's-his-nuts from Entourage. Rape my childhood? Go right ahead on this one.

    Still no baddies? All this awesome skill on these boards, and still no custom inbit mechs.....those old crappy matchbox toys have some potential in the hands of a pro....some new paint, ball joints, and you have the makings of some really awesome baddies, but I guess nobody's gotten around to doing it....too bad.

    "Texas? Only steers and queers come from Texas!" - Gunner Sergent Hartman Seriously though, I've seen this movie twice in theatres, and watched the cam version maybe 6 or 7 times. I think Cameron has enough of my money, hope the sequel will be good, but the first movie will be hard to top.

    Well, when I suggested that the pachinko people reanimate the series, it's not really a redesign. All the designs would still be 1982 so nothing is really modern....maybe sleek, but not really modern. It's not like the VF-1 will be redesigned/rebooted and look more like a VF-25. If the VF-1 still looks like a VF-1 (like in Macross Fever), Hikaru still basically looks like Hikaru, the voices and dialogue from 1982 would be fine. I think most fans can still sit through the entire original series and still enjoy it (IE Animeigo DVD set), but it would be nice to see the animation redone. It's a butt-load of work to "clean it up" but keep it looking original. Sorta like one step beyond "remastering", like what Lucas did with the CG X-wings for Star Wars ANH, just don't take it too far and mess with it too much.

    There are some really talented photographers and some really cool poses in this thread....why are there so many crappy pictures and unimaginative poses in the "Strike a Pose" thread? Over there, all I ever see are these stupid photoshopped captions and photos taken with a webcams or phone cameras. There's some real talent over here, you guys gotta go out and take some pics of Valks too!
