  1. Ask MechTech to make one once he's done with that 6-foot monster he's building
  2. They were talking about Shockwave in another thread and I started googling images of him, found this one: Talk about dark....... Found it on this blog: http://movies-reecemerrittgriffith.blogspot.com/2011/03/shockwave-transformers-movie.html
  3. Haha, no sorry, but I love movie/tv show/anine replicars.....General Lee, Knight 2000, the Bandit's Trans Am...haha, A-Team Van.
  4. They used to matte out the hood so the driver doesn't get glare from the sun right? More Zs from a local show: I don't think this one's stock. More pics from the hill climb/show and shine Flying brick: Bimmer fans might appreciate this one: The owner told me that not a single hole was drilled and not a single peice of metal was cut to fit the motor....everything was bolted on or adapters were fabricated so that if he ever sold the car, he could sell it completely original.
  5. Yeah, I briefly read the article. I think all the panels were replaced with "dry CF" (or whatever it's called when pressure cooked/vacuum formed). All the suspension is reworked so basically it's a whole new car with an RB26 (at least it looks like an RB26....no turbos though) that happens to look like an old Fairlady Z.
  6. Wow, that's a huge difference......haha, so there was a little anime/movie magic....see, they could have made Soundwave into a MP3 player that transforms into a towering robot....or Megatron a Walter P-38.
  7. Currently watching Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai This has got to be the longest title for a TV series I've ever seen. It's a short miniseries (11 episodes), that seems a bit silly in the beginning, but before I knew it, I was drawn in and watched alomst the entire series back-to-back. It's about a group of childhood friends, one of them dies and the friends drift apart. Years later, the ghost of the girl who dies comes back. I admit, it tugs at the heart strings a bit.
  8. Thanks! The pics were taken in Kelowan BC. There's an show and shine (mostly American classics) there every year and we go there to throw a little rice into the party. Still, the folks there are pretty receptive to us. We get a lot of "Oh, I used to own one of those!"....haha, until they became roll-over cars. I completely agree with you on the graphics and fart cannons.....+ non-functional hood scoops and intakes and vents
  9. anime52k8, I feel sorry for you and your family, you sound like very unhappy people. Hey reddsun1, Haha, unfortunately, that speedo is in km/hr. Yeah, the rice-boy mentality is going pretty strong where I live, and movies like Fast and Furious really dodn't help the situation. Although, I think folks in general are starting to realize what's tacky and what's not, and it's not as bad as it used to be. The really bad examples are generally kids just getting into cars and want to "modify" according to financial situation rather than what's functional (example gaudy decals, wings, spoilers, and blinking neon lights etc). These tossers make anyone who drives an import look like a wanker. Those Enkei's were awesome and I wanted to get some for my car, but being FF, the deep dish wheel would stick out way too much. I think the Panasports fit with the same era my car's from: My car's definitely gone through some Frankensteining, but it's not that ricy, and least I don't think. Most upgrade parts are OEM but some had to be fabricated and some had to come from other sources (even some Toyota parts were used!) because nothing else would fit. Like the pro-touring/restomods abover, very little of the '78 car is still intact except for the shell, windows, and some interior peices. The engine was from a 2001 Honda, the tranny from a '93, the brakes from a '96, the seats from a '96....list goes on and on. But overall, I tried to keep my car looking as factory as possible.
  10. Thanks for the tip, prolly just hates Hondas...but for what reason, I have no idea. Toyota makes more econoboxes than any manufacturer in the entire world. I hate the Corolla and anyone who drives one (haha, where I live anyway ). They're all owned by driving schools (like Wing-On driving school, Dynasty driving school, Imperial driving school, Excellent driving school, New Century driving school etc.........you get the idea), taxi companies and rent-a-cars........and the people who actually own them have no idea how to drive...they all popped $5,000 to bribe the testers so they could pass the test. The only Corolla worth mentioning is the hachi-roku. For the record, I don't hate all Toyota cars....loved the MR2 (1st and 2ns gen), the Celica GT-Four(we got this one in Canada for a while....not sure about the states) the Supra, especially the Mark IV....even though it's dated by today's standards, it still has a special place in my heart. That era of sports cars was *ucking fun.
  11. Wow, such a hate-on for Honda. I didn't know this was a performance American/Italian car thread only. Haha, nevermind, I see that you describe yourself as a troll.

    Tomahawk

Are you bluescreening it for some photoshop background action? Nice models by the way?
  13. Michael Bay is a hack, he got the idea from T3 when the T-1000 was frozen with liquid nitrogen and broke into a million peices.....he reverse engineered the idea and made the Transformers you see before you. Don't let the basterd near SDF Macross.
  14. Clearly, we talk to YOU about getting baddies!!! That's a nice sculpt....more please, and mass produce. Thanks MechTech!!!!
  15. yikes, the link finally worked for me and that IS ugly. But to beat that dead horse a bit more, this fan made video is on the right track: And another one....miss the Scatman's voice. These two fan-films combined was more satisfying that all three Bay movies....After the first Bayformers, I refused to give him any more of my money and downloaded the last two. Randall Ng and other fans are producing shorts that I would gladly pay for.
  16. Hey man, nuthin' wrong with an old skool! My Civic gets more smiles than my NSX ever did. Ever been schooled by an old skool?
  17. First, wow, you have a pretty good grasp of the English language for a kid who's 5-6 years old. *Nevermind, I missed the "or younger (5-6)". I can't beleive I'm saying this, but I am an older fan....old. Yikes. Anyway, I can understand that this whole new Bayformers may as well be a whole new timeline/reimagining/reboot or whatever you want to call it and it was made to appeal to today's youth, and maybe a few of the oldies. Not many people want to watch the original, dated, G1 cartoon, not even me. I mean, I could probably sit through an episode or two but that's about it. What I did like were how the characters were treated in the Dreamwave comics. They didn't look exactly as they did in the original cartoon, but they were changed enough to get me interested again, not drastically bastardized. Don't be sorry for having an opinion. (by the way, your pic link didn't work) I know this is beating a dead horse, but the F15 is still in use is it not? They could have used an F-15E which IMO still looks pretty badass. Now Hotrod's vehicle form spews 80's, and even at the time I didn't really like his design, but your arguement about the flames? Haha, that's what a lot of people HATED about Bay Prime. WTF are flames doing on Prime??? But anyway, yeah, Hotrod might have been okay as a ZR-1 (insert GM product placement here). Back to my point on drastic changes, the vast majority of humans don't take well to change, and when they butchered (well, killed him off anyway) Optimus Prime in the 80's cartoon, the execs at Hasbro were made aware by the fans. Current incartnations of many of the vehicles exist today...Bumble Bee - the new VW Beetle, Sideswipe - Lamboghini's got loads of awesome new cars since the Countach, Hound - Jeep JK (wrangler), the list goes on, but instead it was just a big commercial for GM. There you go apologizing again, why apologize? You've done nothing wrong. You like what you like, there's nothing wrong with that. It's just that a lot of people aren't too happy with Bay because he took something that many people were familiar with, and made so many changes, it's not even recognizable anymore. How would you feel if he got hold of SDF Macross and did the same thing to the VF-1? Updates are fine, but don't turn it upside down and give it the same name. We know this because look at the Yamato movie that came out last year....enough updates so it didn't seem like it was still 1981, while at the same time, keeping faithful to the original. Anyway, enjoy Bayformers, don't let old farts like me drag you down.....but if he called the movie Go-Bots, I'd be a lot happier, hahaha!
  18. What I can't believe is there was a semi-decent toy from Matchbox ages ago, and no one's modded one with ball joints or anything. I mean the mold doesn't look too bad right, but no customs.....
  19. We need to see more photoshop work like that in the Strike a Pose thread.
  20. What's the word on bad guy toys from Mospeada? All the good guys with no one to fight with.
