Yeah, DYRL was like that, I don't get how his comment relates to the new stuff......is there more nudity, violence, gore and coolness? There's a lot more weirdness, I'll say that. Just watched the second Frontier movie and it was very psychedelic. I think it would be awesome to watch if I was stoned. Yeah, it was way better than 7 (which was the biggest waste of my life I have ever experienced), but Frontier is just too weird for me. The only thing that came after DYRL that I truly lked was Mac Plus. Maybe if I watch it a few more times, Mac F will grow on me.....I've give it another try sometime.

I like....it was a slow start, with not a whole lot going on. In fact, right at the start and the ship fly by, it almost seemed as if they were using old animation style (with the dirt falling of and stuff), the ship flyby was abit slow too, and the ship almost looked like a flash animation. Then the action starts to pick up along with the music and the really new animation started with all the little detailed bits here and there. sent shivers up my spine.... .....Yuki's got a nice rack too......haha, come to think of it, Starsha did too...way bigger than the original anime I think.

Is there any chance you can insert Easter Eggs like a complete VF-1 Strike flying in the backgrounds or is that too much to ask for? Anyway, I'm watching this movie just because you worked on it.

Me too. It adds a bit of realism to it...nice little effect. I love the visitble rivets, the movement of the ships in space, they added zero gravity at times. The one thing I'm still not fond of is the blast from the cannons....they come out looking and sounding very 1980s. The cannon fire from Yamato on the other hand (from the trailer) looks like it was still firing the original 18 in ammo though....cool scene, not sure if it means anything (different armament Yamato?).

Looks and sounds ghey. I heard the books got their inspiration from Battle Royale but from what I've seen, it's weaksauce compared to BR.

Oh man, I'm totally giving her a chance. I love guns, but I love swords as well. I just hope it's not going to be anything acrobatic and completely off the rails compared to the rest of the series.

Katana girl with the pet zombies....it feels like it doesn't really go with the flow of the series so far. It feels like everyone's sort of new at zombie killing (since the apocolypse just started), so having someone come along who's so awesome at killing zombies, she can walk around with a katana and two pet zombies. Don't even get me started on the fact that most edged weapons would probably only be good for 5 or 6 kills before becoming too caked with flesh and fat, rendering it less effective if not completely unable to cut...unless of course she's carrying multiple swords or she cleans her one sword every few kills. Well, I heard she was pretty kick-ass in the comic, and I do love Japanese swords so we'll see. Lori's gotta go. Same with the stupid kid.

Woah, woah, woah, there's no confirmation they're teenagers. I read somewhere that they were from an ancient alien race.........they could be thousands of years old, and just behave like teenagers.....Ancient Immature Alien Non-Ninja Aliens would be better.

Yeah, the original comic was dark and gritty, loved it! The first movie was pretty close, but not quite there. The cartoons was for younger children. Wish they could have just made a movie based on the first comic and that's it. Note, there were very few explosions in the comic.
