  1. 1/1 scale. It needs to be done.
  2. I know, right? It's tiny compared to the pod! I can't wait to see this monster all done.
  3. Looking for that Coke can was like trying to find Waldo. Ultra detail big scale is the way of the future.
  4. Um, this thread needs to be pinned......to the front page of the main site!!!! As well as on the cover of Hobby Japan!
  5. I just saw this...you did this with a 3d printer? Holy crap man, technology these days. This should be on the front page of Macrossworld! Fans fabricating their own models with such precision and in any scale they want! Amazing!
  6. Nice man, keep up the great work! God, wish I had the $$ to get more of your goods.
  7. Bayformers? I just noticed, Arnie's a lefty?
  8. I never bought any of your stuff, but I always enjoyed watching your builds, as well as your kits being built by members here. Sad to hear, hope you'll be back to it someday.
  9. Holy $hit, are you kidding me?!?!?! I've been asking this question since the beginning of time "Where are the baddies for Mospeada?" Effin't awesome man, can't wait to see the finished product!
  10. I was talking about the 1/55 scale chunky monkey Hikaru Strike. Wayyyyyyyyyy back before the Yamatos were even out.Looks like one just went on our very own forum for way less than that nut job on Amazon: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=37258
  11. That's nuts. I remember one of the older chunky monkeys (Hikaru VF-1A Strike) used to sell for a lot...$400 or something like that if it was brand new, in box.
  12. http://www.amazon.com/Macross-VF-1A-Visibility-Limited-Edition/dp/B0081CPOXM Are you kidding me???? Is there anyone in the world willing to pay $599.99 for this??? Hell, if that's the case, I'll sell mine in a heartbeat! Are these things worth that much?
  13. Thanks! That kind of blows though, haha, I remember paying about $400 CAD for it back in the day.
  14. Wow, not a very popular thread, or mabe just not many people browse this section....last posting 23NOV11? I have a question, wondering if anyone will even look at it. I have an Animeigo Macross DVD Box Set (1-9). I would say it's pretty mint. I watched them all. The box itself is still mostly in the original plastic wrap as I carefully cut the opening with an x-acto knife to allow the DVD jackets to be removed. None of the DVDs have any scratches or blemeshes, just wondering what one would pay for it. Saw a used set on Amazon for $275.
  15. OMG, I'm so lacking in model building talent, I should have just asked you how much for you to send me a completed kit instead, hahah!
  16. That's a nice find, a lot better quality than the version I last saw. Thanks for posting. It would be nice to have extras like this in HD on the new BD release. That's exactly what a remake of SDF Macross should look like. All they gotta do is use the original soundtrack and voices.
  17. Shouldn't dreams/fantasies be in the fanfiction section? Frak! I thought someone was really doing a 1/1 scale Destroid. I mean, it's not entirely impossible, what with the 1/1 scale Gundam, 1/1 scale Votom and 1/1 scale VF-25 being built. I know a metal fabricator guy and also a company that builds playgrounds with styrofoam/expanding foam. With the right amount of money, I'm sure it can be done. 1/1 scale Strike Valk in Fighter mode was my fantasy. Me and the metal fab guy were actually considering getting together and building a life-size Bumblebee using a Volkswagon Beetle parts from various wreckers. Estimates would place the cost to about $60,000 and a year to build, maybe less if that's all he worked on straight through. And costwise, maybe even less if he didn't have to do the design work.
  18. Wow, i don't even ride, but I'd buy one of those helmets just because it looks like a decent replica, and it's not $1,000. I seriously doubt I'll be able to get my hands on one though, only 100 world-wide? And how many Facebook friends do they have?
  19. I didn't think so. Actually, I did a little more digging and found the answer to my question. Turns out it's from some sort of video game: http://www.phpbbplan...#38;mforum=shipyard I'm glad this design isn't canon.
  20. I used to watch Starblazers when I was a kid, and when I got older, I got my hands on a 5 cassette VHS movie set of Space Battleship Yamato and thought it was awesome, but it's been more than 10 years since my VCR last worked and I don't really remember much about the TV series. Was the Musashi ever actually done in the tv show/movies? This is all I could find and I have to say, it's kind o ugly: more here: http://www.starblaze...e.com/1028.html Would have been pretty cool if they retrofitted IJN Musashi into EDF Musashi, sister ships that actually looked the same...at least more alike than that monstrosity above. Makes for some pretty cool imagery: Also, found these article: http://www.freethoug...ead.php?t=18081 http://newsinfo.inqu...arm-environment Would have been kind of cool to have a Yamato-class battleship as a floating musem, or even parked in dry dock.
  21. Looks like a lot of parts were re-engineered from the WWII Yamato
  22. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AerBhncf95E&feature=g-vrec Nice lttle comparison between old and new
