  1. Yeah, they're called MB's Transformers.
  2. Actually, it would be nice to see a comparison of all of them!
  3. that's exactly what I mean. Up until now, it seems that they've just taken old kits, throw some shiny new box art on it and reissue it. This is the first time since the 1/350 scale was released that they actually issued something really new and improved over the older kits.
  4. That toy looks great, but I have just have one small gripe....that seem line that runs up and down the nose looks like the Grand Canyon.
  5. Wow, looks worth it just for the box art. And it looks like the kit finally matches the art in respect to details.
  6. Sorry, I wasn't very clear. I was trying to find the original teaser with the Oppenheimer quote, but it's gone. I've seen a couple of fans dub the Oppenhiemer quote over the new current trailer, and it's pretty cool, but didn't have the same understanded effect as the original. There was a link to it back on post #46, but it's gone.
  7. Went to look for the original teaser, found this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lS_VQA1NkA I can't find the original teaser anywhere, the one with the Oppenhiemer quote....damn, that was one of the most epic teasers I've ever seen and sadly, it's gone.
  8. I hate kicking dead horses, but that sort of comes full circle to the first point about concealment and why they used flares and smoke trails.......I bet they'd be just as visible to Godzilla as a plane......would have been better without the fares and smoke. Anyway, I'm sure there will be a logical explanation in the film
  9. Yeah, I guess so, but why would they have to jump at such high altitude? Figure if they didn't need to be covert, they could have just jumped at a lower altitude....oh well, thinking too much. I should just sit back and enjoy.
  10. I didn't like IV, and Ladouche really put the nail in the coffin on that one. ] Out of his entire filmography, this is probably his best role: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HEbcYwMvwU
  11. Yeah, I'm a bit irked by that as well. I thought most fans should be able to differentiate the two different worlds, whether you're from the Robotech faction, or original Macross side. Was there a reason why didn't they use Veritech Project?
  12. I was wondering about the same thing. One of the main points of having a high altitude low open jump is to avoid detection right? Wouldn't the flares with the smoke trail nullify that? Also, i really hope that DuelGundam 2099 isn't right about the human junk. I'll be pretty disappointed if this movie turns out just like Bayformers, with a ton of useless human characters.
  13. Pretty interesting, thanks for the post!
  14. Jackie couldn't pull off a mainland accent if his life depended on it, but it doesn't look like he talks a whole lot in this film anyway,
  15. I wouldn't even say western actors "overact". There are some scenes in Yamato live action where I thought the actors where downright horrible and there were definitely moments of extreme overacting. Remember that scene where Yamato first launches, the planet bomb is destroyed and Yamato emerges from the clouds? That guy in the control room back on earth stands up and nearly bursts into tears? That scene made me feel cold.
  16. Nice NSX, are you planning on completing the look? By the looks of it, you still need side skirts, the weels, the seats, possibly the steering wheel and carpet.... I had a 1992 NSX, and ran the 5 spoke 15/16 NSX-R wheels. Yeah, they were small, but I ran r compounds on them all year round. I also had the 16/17 in 7 spoke wheels, but a new set of r compounds evey 3 months on the bigger wheels got a bit costly. Post more pics if you have them.
  17. Wow, thread back from the dead! Thanks for the update, and thanks for including the link for the Canadian release. I love/hated the movie, but I still think I want to see the effects on the big screen.
  18. If they called it Big Trouble in Little Japan, I wouldn't have been opposed...........except it doesn't look funny. I'm now 99% confident that the title of the film was a totally random coincidence in regards to the original 47 ronin story. There didn't seem to be any elements of the original story other than 47 "samurai". "Ronin" with Robert Deniro had more to do with the original story than this film. Original: When and where: 1703, Japan has been pretty much unified by the Tokugawa, not much going on as far as civil unrest is concerned (compared to Pre-tokugawa era) Who: Asano and his vassals (who become ronin) and Kira and his clan. Story: Lord Asaon assaults (reasons for the assualt are debatable depending on what part of Japan you're from) Lord Kira and is sentenced to seppuku. Asano's vassals become masterless (ronin) and plot to take revenge over a two year period of laying low. The ronin kill Kira and are sentenced to seppuku. Outcome: Family name restored, although only 1/10 of original territory is restored to the family. New: When and were: Who knows when, and probably Japan. Who: Half breed slave that was banished from land (assuming Japan?), 47 "samurai", some dude, some chick, a creature from Avatar, and a dragon. Story: The folks that owned this slave have taken over the land (assuming Japan?). Seems like there's civil unrest (mounts of corpes) or at the implied notion that these folks are overthrowing the existing government. The half-breed ex-slave with a green lightsaber + 47 "samurai" go against an "infinite" army backed up by a couple of mythical creatures and a dragon. Outcome: Yet to be determined. Correlation between the old and the new: the number 47
  19. Maybe it will make an appearance in the Robotech/Voltron crossover and look better...............................................bwahahahahahahahahaha!
