  1. Do you know if they even constructed an actual physical model for filming or was it all CGI?
  2. What did you think of the model from the live action film? It looked to me like the main turrents resembled the ones on the WWII vessel more than from the anime.
  3. Did a search, this didn't pop up so apologies if it's a repost. Interesting read http://www.comicvine.com/sdf-1/4055-55917/forums/sdf-vs-yamato-vs-death-star-vs-galactica-553998/
  4. It's not wood, it's laminate, haha! All kidding aside, it does look good, though wood would definitely be impractical in space. that is one sick model
  5. Watching it now, pretty neat that they have current world stuff in it. 37 minutes in so far, two things I noticed that were interesting. Deunan's primary is based of an AR, and that must be the world's biggest HMMWV. The interior space just looks massive, either that or they are really small people. I'm not all that big (5'7") and with full kevlar and tac vest, helmet and my rifle, I find it cramped inside. I've never been in a civvie one, but I'd imagine it's not much more spacious than the ones I've been in.
  6. Of course, it's going to be awesome, just like Live-action Robotech, and Live-action Akira, haha!
  7. I dunno, something about those quasi-hooker boots that rings my bell. I like her the way she is because I prefer my women to not look like men.
  8. Big Trouble Little China = 1980's Gold Alcohol and maybe some other mind altering substances would help, but like I said, waste of air until she's queued to open her mouth with a little bow-chiki-wow-wow.
  9. I know this isn't exactly canon to the original series, but I hope that they resurrect Yamato's sister ship Musashi, at least for a cameo or something. Like in the Star Trek Universe, Enterprise had several sister ships off doing various taskings, it'd be kind of cool if they did something like that.....and hope they don't tragicly blow it up.
  10. I saw this movie on the weekend and absolutely loved it. My wife, who generally dislikes sci-fi, otaku and all things geeky said the movie was good. I never read the comics, had no idea what the backstory was, the only thing I knew was there was a Marvel comic series with the same name. Anyways, hope they make a second one.....might go see this one again in theatres.
