Just got my set. I felt that Roy is way too tall and what sort of pose is Sara doing ? Do not remember any of her pose like that in the anime. It looks like Sara is doing an Egyptian dance ! All the other pieces are great especially the VF-1 cockpit, it is Hikaru as the pilot as his name is written outside the cockpit. My local vendor is selling all the pieces except for the minmay variant colour . Not sure why is this so, and my local vendor thought there is no variant colour for minmay. Anyone has an explaination for this ?

I second Garham's idea they should a ova on the VFX story. That would be real fun, at the least the old classic bird, VF-1 would still be around in this period although upgraded. I think it is a great idea, to do a story to expand and clarify on the relationship between the Zentrans and the Protoculture or the protoculture civil war. If they do a story like that, lets hope at the least the protoculture have some sort of variable crafts. It would not be Macross if there is no variable crafts !!!

Yeah that was a great idea to incorporate a bayonet into the gunpod for VF-11, but we do not see it in the later models VF19 or VF22.

I voted "no" earlier as well as I felt it was this one series that brought me into japanese animation. I would hate to see change in any other way but I would not mind adding new footages as long as the original goes uncut. They could extend the series up to the launch of Megaroad, the wedding of Hikaru and Misa, earth reconstruction. Since we are at this topic, I wish they could do a sidestory for space war one with updated DYRL variable crafts, may it be a series or OVA.

Actually... in the Variable Fighters AeroReport which was compiled under the supervision of Shoji Kawamori, there is a YVF-1A mentioned. This is the first prototype of the VF-1A. in another source which has now been deemed unoffical, this craft was known as the VF-1A No. 1. So imagine that it would be more accurate to say that there is a YVF-1A and that it is the first prototype of the mass production version. The funny part of that series, was that initially Millia has encouraged Gamlin to court Mylene but towards the end of the series, Millia was encouraging Mylene to go aftter Basara (If I remembered it correctly). I think Millia was off her rockers by that time.

Nah, not sure whether Roy has met Claudia at this point in time yet but Roy may know Nora in the past and they maybe past lovers and with DD it is a love triangle.....sorry just pure speculations !!!

I think it was a superb series until I think the ending was ended too abruptly. Other than that, realistic mech and likable characters.

Well too bad, I was hoping I can watch one space battle with the VF-0s before the end but lets hope we can see the VF-1A in the last episode or at least a glimpse of it.

None of the pictures show Shin flying the "Zero" looks like he is grounded for sure in Episode 4 and Roy will still dogfighting with DD. Really can't wait to see it !!!

If (and that is a big IF) Macross Zero would ever come to the States, there is no way HG would be ever to tie Macross Zero to the RT universe, there would be too much objections and protests. So therefore, if Mac Zero ever arrive to the states, it would be druken womanizer Roy we know in the original series !!!

I went to watch the movie with my GF last night. The tickets were free as they were sponsored by on eof the local newspaper. Although I have not read the comics but I find the plot of the movie quite simplified but it is definitely much better than Spawn. However it did intricate me enough to go and read the comics. That is one thing that I do not understand, why the Nazis wanted to have a ceremony to open the portal in Scotland which is actually an Allied territory during WW2 ?
