The Official Yamato VB-6 Monster Thread

Or, in keeping with the total gayness of the battroid mode, the monster could just bend over and grab it's ankles. Once in the bohica position, the cannons would be level once again. LOL !!! -

Yeah hovering would be beleivable but not too long and not too high, just like 6.3" so I can play the "pass under the monster's foot before it lands" game without bending too much. I just don't know how the trusters in the legs cold support the monster cause they are real short and small. Anyways, it's all anime magic after all. -

While I can't scientificaly (yeah like macross is a science anyways..) confirm my comment, I don't think this thing is made to fly in "gerwalk" mode. It has no real supporting aerodynamic surfaces or wings in gerwalk. The leg trusters don't look like they'd be able to lift the thing once it is landed. I think this thing is more like the space shuttle. It would be able to establish atmospheric reentry and them glide to the artillery position where it is required but no take off afterward I think. I have bouht a little 1/100 scale corgi M1a Abrams diecast tank to put besides my monster and I can say that when you really see and understand how big this thing is, you can be certain the monster has about the same aerodynamic caracteristics as the fat lady living accross the street... -
Yeah, These are really nice. I can't remember how many times I've built these dropships with legos hoping they would eventualy make a toy. Cool !

I have one and it came with a dengeki hobby magazine of 2004. The model is very detailed but like some of the guys said, you can articulate (barely) le shoulders, hips and neck that's it. It is very small. Don't bother with this model... My 2 cents

I'm not sure I like the blast impulse. I think the color scheme is a bit tacky. The sword impulse on the other hand is just Yummy ! -

There's no big incentive in doing panel lines on this one cause it's real dark -

Duh ! If it was the case, there would be some kind of placenta on the table somewhere. Come on man, go watch TLC or somethin... No, I just decided that I really like the placenta more and cleaned it up instead. Boy... You must be a the most popular kid on the block (at least with cats), playing around with a placenta...Eeeeew ! Just remember to put it in the freezer once in a while otherwise a strange "unfresh" scent may be trailing you around. Anywho, great pics. How hard do you find transforming this toy is cause I see yours is doing the split like mine ? A translated instruction manual woud REALLY be welcome. -

You know, If you make your design in JPG in a pretty good resolution, most engraving studios will actualy take your file and engrave it on any surface. It's no rocket science I assure you. -

Aww man, I was about to ask you whether I can get those or not Between, is that P-Chan in you avatar? Dunno it's just a cute piggy I found on google. Just a reminder of Eugimon's super office get away technique I experimented with this week. -

Had them made by the engraving studio where I work during the idle time between christmas and new year's eve last year. You are right, they look real good. Unfortunatly, I can't get these done anymore. -

Good for you, Once you realy get into the 1/48 line, you'll only use you 1/60s to simulate crash landing and to throw around the room to simulate real flight. The 1/48, I'd say, is the ultimate 1/60 killer.

GAWD !!! Thanks, it really looks great. So after all, the VF-1 is not sooo small compared to the YF-21.

Depends, Are you a civil servant, if so you need one civil servant to hold the light, another one to hold the screw driver and another one to... no, seriously, about 10 minutes per cabinet. -

I am not too crazy about the destroid mode. First, it's too damn tall, secondly, the head looks like a kettle. I am not comfortable at all yet transforming and locking some of the parts together as the instructions truly and honestly suck, so I don't want to break the tiny pegs all over the place. It'd be real nice if someone would take the time and translate these instructions or even better, do a tutorial like we had for the YF-21 V.1 a long while ago. -

Beautifull !!! Can you post a picture beside a 1/48 VF-1 for size comparision please, assuming you have one. Thanks
