  1. I don't know Japanese. It's my Google -Fu. Translators are welcome to put a more accurate version. Just read the translation and could sorta figure out some stuff. Basically costs are higher because labor costs where they are being produced are rising, development and tooling, salaries for personnel, smaller company, product run size which most of us would guess could contribute to the rise. Also, he said because of the transformations there are a lot of parts, which means there are more tooling required for more molds. Parts scrap/failure rates from the factory and some more blah blah blah...

    Edit: Big in Japan 29580yen

  2. His blog in the arcadia staff blog is up. It's rather long but interesting. Also, interesting to see that discount is reduced across all retailers. It's suggested retail is the same as the 0A. $15 bucks difference ain't gonna phase me.

  3. Pre-orders starting 8/28?!

    From Arcadia's twitter:

  4. I don't have Max VF1 and VF19, so here is 5 shades of blue ....

    DChNdjn.jpg

I actually cam into this thread to ask about which is the more accurate shade of blue on this guy. Is it really the brighter blue? Does anybody have any pics next to the VF-25G Michael?

You can use those as reference but hard to judge it unless you see it in hand. It's a darker blue.

  5. Yes, the large space is great. Since I have been working from home the past few years, a larger office area was a requirement when looking for a new house. The house is a 2 level split, and my office is in the "second" basement. Keeps me nice and isolated to get work done busy valk swishing.

Fixed it for you. Wish I could have a basement. Space is a premium here.

  6. I went to ikea today to get some shelves I've wanted since moving into the new house. I original wanted 2 in a row butted up right next to each other, but they didn't sit perfectly flush, and it was bugging the hell out of me. I decided to stagger them, which means I now have a few holes to patch up. Came out nice. I am still re-arranging figures, but this is ending up better than I had thought. Bonus half-assed panorama of office, and pic of my workstation.

Very nice! So J of all that space! I like that area on the U shape dedicated to "product sampling" er... I mean valk swishing! It's also got 2 chairs to share in the fun!

  7. I would also love to make transforming toys, my Macross Zero project can be transforming though, I'm trying to figure how to do it!

I'm thinking 1/60 Monster with transforming grab hands. No?

  8. Are you talking about me.

Well, what can I do. <_<

A new promise that he will either ship or refund by October, which is 2 years after my payment. :hail:

May be you can place an order suggest payment after receive. Or a small deposit. Via paypal with insurance for sure.

You sir, have my respect for being very patient. I hope your order goes through as I would like to see your finished build of this.

  9. Great ideas! If I knew how to design it in CAD I would make the boosters connect zero fast pack style with magnets ( extruded to fit magnet shape/size).

For the wings I'd notch the wings to allow them only one way of travel and prevent them from drooping the other direction.

I'd make the hinge so that it'd be able to move in/out of the fuselage a little. That way in fighter mode the wings would be flush to the fuselage with no signs of the hinge but when you want to fold the wings you just pull it out slightly then fold.

  10. Haven't read this thread in a while and come back to see this new color debate. I've always thought Shin's 0A was white-ish with small red accents as a homage/nod to Hikaru's 1J. I don't see where they got blue from or how it would fit.

Whatever you do, don't look back at the last couple of pages. For now it's all nice and quiet and you don't wanna awaken the beast called "color choices" .:p

  11. Sorry for the pic quality . Was lazy to set up my stuff.

Anyhow, just testing what it could hold. Ivanov is holding a spot for the VF-0D. I'll peel off the covering later.

    Zero quad:

    1 standard arm

    2 double arm

    4 XL arms

    2 elbows

Metric hex bolt from hardware store

    Adapters to fit

Muwahaha! Peeled off the covers and looks cleaner on a single base:

    16141676840_d2b006ca0b.jpg

Same parts list as the zero quad with the inclusion of the following:

    2x standard arm

1 more bolt from hardware store

    extra rubber washers

Those are the parts breakdown plus the yetistand alpha base . Same setup except with a standard arm holding the VF-25. It's a custom mix of parts from Yetistand and the hardware store. Hex bolt size/type is in my yetistand gallery. The extra rubber washers would be the hardest to get if you don't have extra unused stands lying around. I must add that it has a very large area and putting them on might be a hassle if you don't put them on in a certain order as it wants to topple over because of the weight distribution.
