  1. Loving this project that you're doing! Something like this right? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBi5aDG4_6U
  2. I don't know Japanese. It's my Google -Fu. Translators are welcome to put a more accurate version. Just read the translation and could sorta figure out some stuff. Basically costs are higher because labor costs where they are being produced are rising, development and tooling, salaries for personnel, smaller company, product run size which most of us would guess could contribute to the rise. Also, he said because of the transformations there are a lot of parts, which means there are more tooling required for more molds. Parts scrap/failure rates from the factory and some more blah blah blah... Edit: Big in Japan 29580yen http://biginjap.com/en/completed-models/12590-macross-zero-160-vf-0s-phoenix.html
  3. His blog in the arcadia staff blog is up. It's rather long but interesting. Also, interesting to see that discount is reduced across all retailers. It's suggested retail is the same as the 0A. $15 bucks difference ain't gonna phase me.
  4. Pre-orders starting 8/28?! From Arcadia's twitter: 皆様お待たせしました! 明日8月28日(金)より「1/60 完全変形 VF-0S フェニックス」が予約開始予定! 今回は弊社メカ担「みすたーK」が苦悩の末書いたブログ「なぜ?アルカディアトイは高いのか?」も公開予定!お楽しみに! Google translated: Thank you for waiting everyone you! Tomorrow August 28 from (Friday), "1/60 Perfect Transform VF-0S Phoenix" is scheduled to start booking! Blog "Why? Arcadia's toys are high?" That we mecha responsible "Mr. K" wrote the end of the anguish this time also will be released! Look forward to!
  5. Yup, avocado ice cream does exist. Never tried it yet though.
  6. Cool! Especially the creepy eye thing following me around the room.
  7. You can use those as reference but hard to judge it unless you see it in hand. It's a darker blue.
  8. Look up 16 20 posts. That's what they should use j/k . Edit: Haha. I type too slow and don't know how to count backwards. What the heck was I doing?
  9. Just needs some glowing feathers in the boxart. Now to make some space for more boxes. Edit: In keeping with the theme. Roy's box art should be: Edited:
  10. Very nice! So J of all that space! I like that area on the U shape dedicated to "product sampling" er... I mean valk swishing! It's also got 2 chairs to share in the fun!
  11. Baking on a rock in the middle of nowhere

  12. Looking very nice! I usually try rocking it in place the first couple of times for that very reason.
  13. I'm thinking 1/60 Monster with transforming grab hands. No?
  14. I love that SV-51 in gerwalk! So intimidating!
  15. Great ideas! If I knew how to design it in CAD I would make the boosters connect zero fast pack style with magnets ( extruded to fit magnet shape/size). For the wings I'd notch the wings to allow them only one way of travel and prevent them from drooping the other direction. I'd make the hinge so that it'd be able to move in/out of the fuselage a little. That way in fighter mode the wings would be flush to the fuselage with no signs of the hinge but when you want to fold the wings you just pull it out slightly then fold.
  16. Whatever you do, don't look back at the last couple of pages. For now it's all nice and quiet and you don't wanna awaken the beast called "color choices" .
  17. Sorry I'm getting more confused. We was talking about the leg fins being blue correct? Not the tailfins
  18. Those are the parts breakdown plus the yetistand alpha base . Same setup except with a standard arm holding the VF-25. It's a custom mix of parts from Yetistand and the hardware store. Hex bolt size/type is in my yetistand gallery. The extra rubber washers would be the hardest to get if you don't have extra unused stands lying around. I must add that it has a very large area and putting them on might be a hassle if you don't put them on in a certain order as it wants to topple over because of the weight distribution.
  19. I think it depends if it's DVD or Blu-ray.
  20. Thanks for the screenshots, very nice one on top I must say. I like to over-analyze things too as I got nothing better to do right now except sit and wait for more delicious pics of valks! I was showing screens that had some blue as someone asked why they would use blue anywhere on the VF-0A. I think that the whole blue/grey thing is confusing as the colors keep changing. They both look good to me. Here's another one with grey although it's shaded: Don't get me wrong as I was miffed on the color choice for the 0D when it came out. Who knows what Arcadia's thinking as the criteria for color selection. Edit: MacrossJunkie, is that from the Blu-ray? I wanna pick up a set.
  21. I can see the fins but not the back of the legs. Crappy dull color tones from the episode during the fighting make it hard to tell. Tried to snap the pic but I'm to slow: Blue is definitely visible in this one: Now go with grey or differentiate yourself from the other version and go blue? Regardless, can't wait till release.
