The worst part is Bandai's general release ordering is a nightmare.

Bandai is not teasing a 1/60 YF-19, the title refers to the giant SDF-1 and then it says: "Also 1/100 Valkyrie II & VF-4, 1/60 YF-19 & Macross Delta fighters".

Animenewsnetwork provides links and information for all those releases/series. The 1/100 Valkyrie II is clearly the Evolution Toys one.

In its larger 1/60-scale DX Chōgōkin line, Bandai will offer:

Macross Plus: YF-19

Macross 7: VF-19 Custom Excalibur (Basara Nekki Special)

To me, there is a difference between teasing and will offer. Hopefully the author did the fact checking before putting out this article. Hard to find it credible when he says the largest toy of the Macross spaceship was only 1/3000 or is the 1/2000 not considered a toy but a model kit?

I wonder why they took off the pod in Battroid?

If it's true then they're also doing a Basara in DX

I can't see the last 3 but it seems each of them has their unit ranking ( vf marking?).

The only variation (besides color and insignia's) I see is the Lead one has pointed front wing tips and the others do not. Also, the 2 VF-31's with Insignia's also have double head lasers.

Seems unlikely unless they reissue. Personally i think they're done with the frontier valks for awhile. They haven't released a dx frontier since Aug with none announced in the near future. I think the next dx release will be the vf-31 probably early next year.

I bet there will be more Frontier or Macross 30 stuff at Tamashii Nations. Probably the supers for Rod and some other stuff besides Delta.

I don't think there is a Armored Fokker version but only the 1st Arcadia release VF-1S Fokker with display stand.

I don't recall any.

Idols are a marketing and merchandizing tool. They sell music and figures to the fanbase, while the fighters sell toys and model kits.

These things pay for the show.

Meiya looks tons better than any of those characters from Delta.

That would be interesting. Make everyone think it's a warm hearted series then BOOM! 180 degrees in the 1st episode. (Just going with the what the anime series did)

Also, I (fortunately) miscounted. It looks like the Draken squad is in classic Diamond Force colors, one with yellow/gold stripes, the rest with white/silver.. fortunate because there's actually 6 of them.

Looks like 5 on the VF-31 side though, and I expect those will all be unique.

This is going to be a serious struggle for people who like elaborate displays.

Oh, small note.. People were debating whether the wings on the VF-31 were forward swept or drooped.. looks like a combination of both, judging by the lighting in those clips. They look like they fold in half at the mid-point.

You still gonna need to get those 6 drakens. Each of those green/silver ones got their own markings.

Why are they still using the cheyene from macross zero?

Looks like the one from Frontier to me. It doesn't have just the gatlings like the zero one.

You know what they say " A PO a day keeps your $$$ away ". 2 valks via Fedex would probably be the same 4700yen.

One thing I find interesting about Fedex shipping is the shipping routes. I had to wait an extra 2 days because the package went to the hub here, then the mainland, then back here to the warehouse then out for delivery. I guess they do that for efficiency?

Was this Fedex shipping rate with HLJ?

If it helps I ordered 2 0A's , a Vilikiss, 5 different modeling tweezers and tools, and the VF-22 Master files book and the shipping via fedex was 5370yen.

They also have a fedex option which is cheaper than ems, the shipping for 2 VF-0a was 4700 yen.

Hmm, I forgot about that. I ordered one 0A and it was 2800yen via Fedex. So NY and BIJ is almost comparable pricing wise.

Their shipping prices are pricey though. The 0S was 15% off I believe. But the shipping prices via EMS wasn't worth it for me. I think it was 6800yen for 2 via EMS.

It's still 27K, which was the tentative price from Arcadia. It's just a matter of which online retailers, if any, will give a discount. Going by HLJ and the preorder discount reduction from the 0-A to the 0-S I'm guessing maybe a 5% discount (not including tax added) might be the most we'll see from anyone, if that.

Edit: Unless Big in Japan or Nippon Yasan pulls some kinda magic strings.

Amiami usually includes the Japan domestic tax then the discount. That's the way they do it, I'm just the messenger. Plus Arcadia's site says tentatively 27K so maybe it can change?

Nah, there are some cases of the hip joint becoming loose from the socket and maybe some paint scratching in certain areas and the usually tight feet and leg tabs.

Tampos aren't decals, and they're not put on by workers. They're effectively factory-machined paint-stamps that are mechanically applied and each have to be tooled seperately, and it is something that adds up. If it was just a matter of hand applying a decal, it would probably be a lot cheaper. Bandai can afford to add them because they laregly operate their own factory facilities and operate in bulk, Arcadia has to outsource labor and apparently has to pick and choose. It's unfortunate, but it's a reality of the commercial production environment.

I meant that in jest, but it sucks that the labor costs leads to cuts in what Arcadia can do.
