  1. All I can say is that the back of that Sv-262 has a bunch of flaps that remind me of the VB-6 quite a bit. Would be interesting if the wings actually become the legs, and those big nozzle halves we see flip around to become the heels.

The 262 is looking a lot more finished than the VF-31 though.

I think the wing parts closest to the inner gold near the fuselage becomes the legs, The big nozzle halves tuck into those flaps on the end, or they split again with the gold front ones to the front and the blue portion behind as the heels kinda like the Legios. There is also a semi recessed gunpod(?) with a fin on the underside.

  2. I love that Bandai has all of these different options for us on display but until I see an official product release announcement I'll wait patiently. I don't wanna hype myself with all these previews only to find that some might turn into vaporware.

  3. Approximate size comparison between the Yamato 1/3000 and Bandai 1/1800

That Bandai one is HUGE if that's to scale. Also, the Yamato one looks like it had a hard night and just woke up.

  4. Bridge bunny, I think I saw your icon's mech in the first Frontier movie after a clash onboard the Frontier with a Vajra.

    Does it have a name?

    Wouldn't be a destroid, right?

Yeah it's the Cheyenne work destroid one of my favorite unappreciated mech. Btw, Bridge bunny is one of the rank (title) according to the amount of posts you have. Everyone's names are in the blue/grey area. Like your rank is Cannon Fodder but your name is Mazinger. Just thought I'd point it out because it gets confusing trying to figure out who people are replying to with peeps of the same ranks.

  5. OMG! I can see my whole room converted into a huge Macross diorama with valks swishing all over the place from the roof and the walls! Need those effects parts like in the Frontier display ASAP! Need to paint one wall daylight sky ,one wall dusk/dawn, one wall and roof space themed with starlights.

  6. can we just talk for a second how this is basically a variable figher version of a SAAB Draken, and is therefore the most awesome thing they could possibly include in a Macross series? Can David get in here to back me up on this?

    *snip*

I thought the lead was blue and gold? j/k :p We just need a Shin Kazama type guest appearance now.

  7. The best part of this things are Bandai's prices are far better than Arcadia's!!!! :D

The worst part is Bandai's general release ordering is a nightmare.

Bandai is not teasing a 1/60 YF-19, the title refers to the giant SDF-1 and then it says: "Also 1/100 Valkyrie II & VF-4, 1/60 YF-19 & Macross Delta fighters".

Animenewsnetwork provides links and information for all those releases/series. The 1/100 Valkyrie II is clearly the Evolution Toys one.

In its larger 1/60-scale DX Chōgōkin line, Bandai will offer:

    Macross Plus: YF-19

Macross 7: VF-19 Custom Excalibur (Basara Nekki Special)

To me, there is a difference between teasing and will offer. Hopefully the author did the fact checking before putting out this article. Hard to find it credible when he says the largest toy of the Macross spaceship was only 1/3000 or is the 1/2000 not considered a toy but a model kit?

  8. Just realised the 262's variations arent that visible...seems like its still a Work in progress...

    attachicon.gifsv-262_poster.jpg

Or .....drumroll....there arent any more variations! :o

The only variation (besides color and insignia's) I see is the Lead one has pointed front wing tips and the others do not. Also, the 2 VF-31's with Insignia's also have double head lasers.
