  1. Sounds crazy as it may, but it seems as if the top spine of fighter is actually the left + right arm.

    *snip* *snip*
The patterm of the forearm (left area in the pic) on corresponds to the area behind the cockpit, and the other forearm has the tail attached.
Then the area behind the cockpit dissapears, thus making way for the BFG to pop up.

I was thinking the same thing when you 1st posted the pics last week. Now I'm thinking how they gonna strengthen the wings/wingtip area so it can hold the drones without it drooping or getting loose and floppy

  2. Looks like the Yamato 1/2000 SDF-1. The connectors fo the ARMD to the shoulders look beefier on the 1/1800 vs the 1/2000. Also the display stand looks like the Yamato one.

  3. If we know the size of the Valks, can you use the ones on the deck as a measure?

The deck looks longer than the quarter's from frontier, and hence the whole ship would be larger.

Let's just call it Macross Half :p. If the VF-31s are about the same size as the VF-25s:

Interesting that the sides can split or fold. Looks like that new carrier can launch up to 5 valks at a time (9 if you count the short angled ones) vs 3 for the ARMD-L. One in the middle (maybe for a bigger VB-6 type since it leads straight into the bigger middle hangar and 4 on each section that splits.

  4. Anyone else notice the 31C's radome is more an oval than a perfect circle? Or was I seeing things?

It's oval/diamond shaped. You can see it in the shot above the planet with the boosters on and also watch it spinning when Chuck is talking on the coms. It's uneven when spinning.

  5. Love these spoiler tags:

We get to see what looks like the 2 remaining SV-262 pilots in the OP. One an older gentleman we saw in the 1st and one I'll call Messer's older brother since he got the same hairdo with a ponytail? Also, I guess Windmerians don't debate on how the SV valks landing gears should look like or where they are :p .

  6. Gerwalk looks kinda YF-19/SV-51 mix like where the shoulders are above the wings that are bent. It also looks like the Nose part bottom split open then comes up a little to shield the front of the cockpit. Love how the inner part of the tailfin/shield has a logo.

Edit: I thought the nose splits in half and goes to side of the cockpit but it was the silver part that looks like it moves up a little. And it looks like what I was looking at in the front is it was still transforming. It goes back flush afterwards. Great spoiler tagged pics of the sequence in the ep2 thread. Here is one pic:

Need at least 2 of Keith's. One will be in gerwalk!

  7. Great grabs Seti!

Interesting. I guessed that it would have an overhead beam cannon and that the rear section with the tail fin was one arm with shield ( tailfin split in half) jokingly. Didn't expect the front top section to be the other side. I was expecting the arms to be split length wise along the fuselage.
