I think they are a modeling club based out of Japan. Isn't that from this book? Something about the control system? Sorry don't know too much about it other than it looks beautiful and someone did a DX VF-19 in that scheme.

Just wanted to say thanks again to Xigfrid and Jasonc for their hard work in making this a reality! Just got my package in today. I've includes pics of a painted assembled kit w/task wings and unpainted unassembled kit without task wings. I didn't do any gluing on the assembled one yet. It also includes decals that I forgot to take pics of. I just need to prep the shapeway missiles and figure out where I put the Yamato adapter for the assembled one and figure out what I want to do with the other ones. Edit: Also gotta thank charger69 as he got the ball rolling on this.

Pretty cool setup!

They should put it in the inner side of the flip up section of the arms or on the upper chest piece where the intakes peg in.

I'd guess $65-85 for the set. Yahoo Japan auctions sold list using GE43 (there are more results using VF-25S though it includes models and renewal versions): https://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/closedsearch/closedsearch;_ylt=A7dPGi.hGy1ZfhsAVBOuGDx8?p=VF-25S+GE43&aq=-1&oq=&x=0&y=0&ei=UTF-8&slider=0&tab_ex=commerce&auccat=0 I'd add $10-15 for the supers. Edit: Those listings above do not factor in proxy fees and shipping.

I'd wait till the end of the world tour when they'll have the final stop at Tamashii Nations 2017 in November for any big Macross announcements.

VF-1 cockpit life-size replica: has anyone tried it?
wmkjr replied to Jedi Dark Knight's topic in Fan Works
Closest to someone getting the ball rolling. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/41444-vf-1s-cockpit-mockup-help/ -
It seems VF-1J Rick #2 and #3 doesn't load. Also, you probably could make a human sized pepakuru model if you really wanted for cheap.

You should be able to just click on it and it'll take you there or is it not working?

Does the one in the US have limited releases items pertaining to Macross like the ones in Japan? Just curious to know. It seems that people would associate Wonderfest to the ones in Japan more than the US one hence just naming it Wondefest. I thought it was common to call it Wonderfest (season). Maybe I'll refer to them as WF 20xx (season) to avoid confusion.

You're just trying to color match the head and rear leg parts only correct? Would spraying a red base then fine layers of white over it give it that pinkish hue?
-
I'd say primer and paint the whole thing to make it uniform. More work to do but I say if you put in all that effort to make those parts, you might as well go all the way to make it really stand out.
