For the VF-1J Kai , the simplest way is look on YJA during the event and pay the buy it now markup or bidding war. I think the VFG-31C supers are gonna be like the VF-31A as far as ordering goes.

The link you had I believe was for the event exclusive version as the shipping date was 12/2. The lottery one is just that, a random chance to purchase it. You're not guaranteed an order. Your middleman would have to apply for a lottery entry and if picked, would be notified with the purchasing details.

Looks the same to me: From Arcadia's tweet a few posts ago.

I guess this can apply for all projects via Shapeways. Starting Nov 27 12:01AM until Nov 28 11:59PM PST 10% off plus free shipping on orders over $25 use MAKEYOURHOLIDAY.

He has very creative customs. I like his VF-31 Strike version too. He also made the missiles for the legs:

It's all included in the kit. Which adapter you use depends on which way the arm is oriented. They're compatible with the ones included. You can also buy the VF-1 adapter he sells if you want. Also, that starter kit is assuming you already have the Arcadia display stand as it swaps out the stock arm for the Yeti one. If you have some unused DX stands laying around, you can use the DX starter kit in the same way. Edit: It's the Yetistand alpha thread a few threads below. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/41509-yetistand-alpha/

There are several options out there though the availability and price of each varies. 1. Flightpose stands- Clear tripod stands of various lengths. You can mix and match stem lengths to get different poses. Adapters not needed though tips on the ends might affect paint. It's at HLJ but I always see it as backordered. 2. Yamato launch arm stands- Adapters included were made for this stand. Hard to find and pricey. I don't have this stand so I can't tell you how sturdy/grip it is. 3. Arcadia display stand- Works with the adapter with storage compartment base. It was affordable though dunno about it's availability. The 1st release VF-1S from Arcadia (without Strike/Super parts) had this included. 4. Yetistand- Most versatile in terms of display options. You can put more than 1 valk on a stand depending on how you configured it. Costs more than Flightpose/Bandai action bases but more stable. Also sells adapters for certain valks that are better than the ones included with the valks. 5. Bandai action bases with separate adapter- Cheap. Display poses limited. Stability depends on which type used. 3rd party adapters need to be purchased separately. Yetistand would be the best in terms of display options/availability but pricing might be a factor.

I edited the info. In for all of these in 1/60. One extra bit is that the line art for the zero cheyenne's shoulders don't have what looks like 6 missiles ports on the shoulder but the other image has it. Also, that newly found frontier one looks like a hybrid zero/frontier.

The 2nd to the left one is the Zero era cheyenne with the guns. The 1st is the missile variant. 3rd and last is from Fronter.

Wow. Sorry to see that happen. Maybe over tightening? Could be the leverage of the valk on the small arm to big arm being that far away horizontally.
-
I don't think it comes with the reaction missiles. It mentions the chest missile pods and the other super parts. Would be awesome if it does and justifies the price increase though.

Looks great! I wanted to do this scheme too and have a spare Alto tornado sitting on the side just for this. What brans of paint did you use and if it was custom, mixed what was the ratios?

The gunpod probably clips in that little slot on the backpack and maybe another spot?

For those who did not see or know about this before here is the link to Mech9's 1/60 Yamato VF-1A Transformation manual which he translated in English. Scroll down on the page to see it. Forgot if it's from a fellow MW member though whoever did this, thank you for this and the other translated guides. Hopefully it helps. The Arcadia manual is different but this one should do. Also, wasn't the there a sticky for the transformation guides befroe? http://www.mech9.com/2011/10/yamato-160-perfect-transformation-vf-1a.html

Dunno if the pic I posted shows up but it showed the backpack up at a 45 degree angle. Push down on the outer bottom areas of where you circled at the bottom hinge. It should unlock with a click and now show the bottom hinge pin. The upper hinge should then be able to move freely. Upper hinge meaning hinge toward the rear of the plane.

Did you try doing it like step 4? This is from a Yamato VF-1A but should be the same. It'll be stiff like how it looks like in your pics until you get it unlocked. I just tried it by opening mine for the 1st time and the backpack was like yours until I unlocked it then it moves easily.
