pretty much the same for me, though my taste for the LEGIOSS design has rather weakened considerably over these years, especially after having a TOYNAMI ROBOTECH MPC SCOTT BERNARD ALPHA slowly disintegrate on me a few years back...

it ain't "Tacky" IMHO, it adds a touch of class...

me and my imouto just finished up a run through "VANDREAD" a couple months back, but we've kinda ran out of Anime to watch lately... i'm thinking of getting the "Tsukuyomi MOON PHASE" complete collection, now that i have my doll of the main female character from that series, "Hazuki Morioka" which i had always liked since first seeing her in an issue of NEWTYPE USA (R.I.P.) five years ago, and i was also thinking about starting the Haruhi Suzumiya series as well, but, after looking into it some, i'm not so sure me or my sister could actually stomach any of it. i mean, i'd love to see my little Mikuru-chan♥ walk, talk and breathe, but being forced through Haruhi's infamous constant abuse of her, coupled with what i'm beginning to grasp about Mikuru's future adult self, would pretty much cause my brain to melt down, i think...

ahh, i think i'll stick with the Yammie 1/60v.II. it's about as perfect a three-dimensional rendition of the VF-1 as it gets. it's EXACTLY what i have wanted in a VF-1 replica for a long, LONG time, and, outside of obtaining a copy of the 1986 BANDAI 1/72 HCM VF-1J, i'm done and totally finished with PARTS FORMERS and other imperfect physical iterations of the legendary VF-1 Valkyrie...

MAN, all FOUR of those movies are SUPERB in my book!! (2010/THE LAST STARFIGHTER/TRON/FLIGHT OF THE NAVIGATOR) i have a VHS, LASERDISC and DVD copy of all of them! (am i a hopeless/dateless/lifeless Geek, or what?)

PIONEER was actually pretty much the last CE company to ever feature wooden side panels on their top products. 1999 was the last production year that ALL of their "ELITE" series high-end components included wood sides, and 2001 was the production year of their very last side-paneled product, the DV-38A DVD player... actually, believe it or not, YAMAHA still does it for their Audiophile series SACD player and stereo integrated amplifier, and i also recall a "High-End" manufacturer doing it recently for their amp, but besides those rather isolated cases, nobody in the CE industry bothers with such elegant niceties anymore, no matter how many thousand dollars they ask for their top gear...

Finished!! see here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=31491&st=0&gopid=889089entry889089 ADDENDUM; i just ran across some detailed descriptions of the events of the Suzumiya series, and i'm not so sure i'd be able to stomach any of it, despite the rather fetching animation quality i've seen a little of here and there. i don't know, it altogether feels like it'd be far too much of a headache for me to digest, most especially what i heard regarding the present Mikuru Asahina and her future twin... i think i'd better just take the perfect vision i started with of my Miku-chan♥ and GTF away from her Anime... perhaps i'm misunderstanding things, or only seeing half of the picture. if so, please explain it to me. don't worry about spoiling the series for me, as there is little chance i will ever see it, if it is anything like i think it is, plus, i'd be mostly watching it for the sake of seeing Mikuru walk, talk and breathe anyway, so please feel free to enlighten me...

i recently decided that i preferred Miku-chan's lingerie to be pure white, so i carefully removed all the red thread that simulated red ribbon laced throughout... also, i have a sweet little schoolgirl uniform for her that i just finished a few days back. all it needs is a pair of schoolgirl loafers. i just ordered a 27cm size pair, and should have them in a week or so. pics will follow...

just got these for myself; FAXANADU for the 1985/1993 NINTENDO NES a pair of Japanese Schoolgirl Slippers for the Schoolgirl uniform i just completed for my MegaHouse Mikuru Asahina doll; (from "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya") a pair of white "Mary Jane" style Slippers for my MegaHouse Hazuki Morioka doll; (from "Tsukuyomi MOON PHASE") (the cross-ankle straps shown there will be removed and replaced with a pair per shoe of long tie ribbons, accurate to her original costume's slippers, much more so than the "boots" that MegaHouse provides to "simulate" the same)

don't even get me started. i used to be a BIG MMPR nutcase back around 1993/1995. i have the complete original MEGAZORD, DRAGONZORD, and TITANUS CARRIER ZORD. i also have the complete second generation THUNDER MEGAZORD that replaced the first, but i never did get the Turtle CARRIER ZORD that went with it (sorry, don't remember what the hell it was called) and also some various complete MEGAZORDs from a few of the later series, mostly MMPR in SPACE and MMPR RESCUE. i RARELY drag them out anymore, as they don't really do a whole lot for me these days. too simple and childish, i liken them to the godawful BANDAI 1/65 FIRE VALKYRIE KAI. i really need to get around to selling off the whole shooting match one of these days, and perhaps make half of what i need off it for one of the YAMATO Valks i want, or perhaps their PATLABOR INGRAM ALPHONSE ver. i REALLY want one of those, too...

yep, that's exactly what happened over at AUDIOKARMA.COM (AK) the very first forum i ever joined, back in late 2007/early'08. an audio tape (OPEN REEL, COMPACT CASSETTE, etc.) enthusiast was unhappy about how the forum handled audio tape fans. he discussed the problem with the Admin, which eventually led to arguments, and his banishment from AUDIOKARMA(AK). he immediately proceeded to open his own forum, TAPEHEADS.COM (TH) and like-minded AK members started joining it. it wasn't long before AK's Admin found out, and began banning AK members who had also joined up with TH, one of them being myself. we were all quite unhappy, as we all enjoyed our AK memberships, a thought it quite unfair. we were voicing our displeasure with the situation in a thread, and several AK members of good standing and long membership even joined in. soon after, even they were banned from AK, almost certainly as a result of spy work by the AK Admin or one of his toadies... as far as i'm aware, the situation never worked itself out. now, if that isn't a GRADE A case of "Forum Totalitarianism" than i'm the Emperor of Bangkok...
