i've got a pamphlet from the early 2000's for this "MACROSS OFFICIAL CARD" credit card series, consisting of a JCB version and a VISA version, each with Tenjin HASEGAWA box art of either Ichijo's DYRL VF-1A or Focker's VF-1S, both in FIGHTER mode. i'll have to take the time to dig it up...

Animated cartoon "Macross 30" TV production hope!

TATSUNOKO PRO did all the in-house animation for SDF-M, as well as ALL of DYRL, correct? -
any chance that i could get a painted set of Minmay from your SET 1 and the helmetless TV Hikaru from SET 4? also, a 1/60 DYRL "final battle" Minmay would be just peachy-keen in my book, but i won't try to push my luck here...

just another one of good 'ole Mother Nature's PMS attacks, God help Japan... life is so very fragile, and so is humanity's modern civilized society. it is so very irksome that humanity and all of it's incredible creations are all so weak and vulnerable to this planet's primal s&$t-fits despite so much remarkable technological advancement...

Seconded. the 1/60v.IIs are so far advanced over the 1/48 it isn't funny, and this is coming from a person who nominally has the greatest antipathy towards the "New-Now-Wow"

i've a copy of that too! i use a SEGA SATURN with a GAME SHARK cheat cartridge in it's accessory cartridge slot. one of the SATURN GAME SHARK's "hidden" "Easter Egg" features is it's ability to override the SATURN's regional lockout, enabling one to play japanese or any other foreign NTSC-video standard game disc on their U.S. market SATURN. i played through and cleared the SS DYRL game on my first sitting. it's not a terribly difficult space-shooter game, especially for those that have grown up on with the likes of say, the legendary THUNDER FORCE shooter series. now THOSE are TOUGH AS NAILS games!! still, SS DYRL is a fun, different way to experience DYRL, and one of the few "Good" MACROSS VGs out there...

ah, Cute Family♥ thanks!!

exactly. he grew up in the Super Robot era. he was in his thirties when he worked on MAC 7, and quite possibly made the series as it is to express his probable sentimental feelings for the 1970's at the time. besides, MAC 7 was only a single part of a large trend in the first half of the 1990's, a trend of neo-retro 70's flavored Anime, as well as several modern remakes of 70's classics... S'all good in the end, so long as YAMATO milks the mold with a BLAZER, YF-19 MAC PLUS/DOUBLE NUTSver.II and whatever other variants out there they feel economically feasible. they do that, and they'll likely satisfy ALL of us, whatever flavor of -19 we happen to prefer, and that's what really counts i think...

is that a custom panted 1/48?

((EDIT; She's now mine♥ about two weeks of shipping from HK and she'll arrive!! ♥ ♥ )) i just sold off my two well used 1/48s (DYRL VF-1A and -1S 1st.Ed.)to a fellow MWer, and i've now more than enough for the GUTTO KURU Minmay. i should have her soon...

thanks, cool site!! i just read your reviews on the first few eps of Haruhi Suzumiya series. GEEZ, i REALLY want to give the series a shot, for at the very least nothing else than to see my little princess Mikuru Asahina walk talk and breathe, but every time i hear something about the series, something about it scares the s#$t out of me. i almost picked up a copy of the season 2 complete collection at the local WORST BUY a week back, but i ended up chickening out. well, that, and i had something else that the $48.n'changeUSD that BB was asking had to go to, so i walked out without it. regardless, i think i just might bite the bullet next time...

meh, more like Kawamori-san, much like most of his fellow generation of the peace&love, Disco&SuperRobots decade of the 1970's, was feeling serious pangs of nostalgia by the early-mid 1990's, and used MAC-7 to express them. that's S'all it's about, i feel...

i just finished going all throughout this baby, tightening up all joints by way of cutting strips of electrician's tape, and placing properly cut-to-shape pieces in all joint cavities, including all landing gear bay doors and landing gear strut joint cavities. the result is an HCH that is quite literally as tight as a drum. the damned thing almost feels like a precision instrument now. i kid you not...

i admit, she has quite a streamlined profile. still, i cannot get past the curviness. and don't even get me started on that droopy nosecone!! GOOD GOD!!

it's some sort of candy with a pervy cross dressing DORAEMON-ish cat chara on the packaging, and it probably tastes something like 20-year-old cotton candy. that, or perhaps it's some form of aphrodisiac... ah, stand corrected. the "Umai-bo 1-12+" were a mainstay of the cooking creation skill in the SQUARE-ENIX "STAR OCEAN" RPG series, of which there has been about seven entries so far from 1996/2009; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Ocean
