  1. ANGOLZ is always criminally overpriced...
  2. if HJ could successfully fix all of the kit's inherent issues, and BANDAI directly applied them to an immediate ver.2.0 kit that all us non-pro modellers could enjoy, then i'd be more than happy to wholeheartedly agree...
  3. sure would be nice if BANDAI listened to HJ's input here and applied it to the upcoming 1S Focker and beyond, but i'd certainly not be apt to be betting any money on such a possibility. besides, only a complete redesign could possibly make this model truly presentable. dump those existing molds out at sea, BANDAI, and start. from . scratch.
  4. i'm thinking this is gonna end up being my very first Miku Hatsune...
  5. i wouldn't half mind one of those myself...
  6. 'course they do. their job is to sell this turd to the unsuspecting...
  7. on the whole, you should be thankful you did wait. you missed out on a lot of defective, generally crappy (YMMV) VF-1 renditions, dodging plenty of flying lead in the process. you might have gotten on board just a wee bit late, but still on time for the very best variable VF-1 depiction ever rendered in physical form... (also YMMV) also, how much might you be willing to let that Hikaru -1S DYRL go for?
  8. lucky for my part that my parents were always generous, enabling me to retain just about every game and console they ever bought me since late 1989, avoiding the trading up conundrum that most young gamers were forced to endure whether they liked to or not. as a direct result, i still retain my original copy of Xenogears, still in superb condition despite many, many plays, as well as a well-maintained PSX...

    really? 'bout time!!
  10. i'm just hoping that if this gimmick, of already questionable value to many, absolutely must be included, that it can be executed without compromising the overall ruggedness of the VF-19 base that this new YF is designed upon in any way whatsoever . i mean, that's one of the things i love the most about my VF-19S; it is quite complex, yet rugged as all hell. i have transformed my primary copy like 100 times at least by now, and i never feel like anything is going to break in any way. it is an expensive, and relatively difficult to obtain toy, and it's overall rugged assurance of design is, well, reassuring. without the question of this unknown radical of a wing gimmick hanging over their heads, potential prospective buyers such as myself could reasonably expect this new YF-19 to be every bit the rugged masterpiece that the 19S/F/Ps are, and could be more than comfortable in the assurance of spending $250+ on a thoroughly satisfying tank of a VF toy, closely based upon an existing proven winner of a design...
  11. i think you just gave me an idea or two for my BANDAI HI-METAL 1/100 1S Focker STRIKE... EDIT;
  12. for my part, the "High-Speed Mode" gimmick is a BIG MISTAKE. the current Yammie/ARCADIA VF/YF base frame is complex enough as is... and AMAZINGLY DURABLE for all that. the last thing this beautiful work of art needs is an Achilles' heel dragging it all down, and i'm really not so sure how ARCADIA (Mr.K) can make this gimmick rugged enough to live up to the standard set by my own nigh-indestructible VF-19S copy. that said, Mr.K has handily pulled off some impossible engineering feats to date, and perhaps i should just sit back and have faith in ARCADIA's miracle-worker...
  13. "Accurate" leg-swap systems on anything less than 1/48 would be a veritable Pandora's Box of durability issues. further, "Accurate" leg-swap systems in general would seem to be construed by a majority of fans (myself included) as Part-Swapping, and completely against the entire "Kanzen-Henkei" ethos, YMMV...

  15. Crushed in his cockpit, actually...
  16. to see a little more of Miku-chanā™„ is worth sitting through something like Endless Eight, IMHO...
  17. i did. she sold me on the series on her strength alone. i learned all about her and her personality long before i even considered picking up the first season and "Disappearance" movie. i still love her to pieces, and don't foresee any change anytime soon. BTW; i still need to see 2nd season. i should have owned a set like two years ago, but i've just had so many damned directions for my limited disposable income be going it ain't even funny. if anyone here has a TMoHS 2nd Season set they're willing to part with, please by all means let me know, mmkay?
  18. hey, the Cake was well and truly a Lie. that gawdaful 1/72 had boxart that could sail a feet, IMHO. there was no reason on earth for that model to be even half the disappointment that it was. i'm sure this new 19 will be expensive. even though, if it takes a year to see final release, i think i'll have a very good chance of working one into my budget...
  19. that just about says it all regarding this Piece of Chit...
  20. that looks nice. you should make that your new Avvie, Dave... and, as for Tales of Graces... I AM DISAPPOINT.
  21. ain't it easily already there by far?!?
  22. sure would love to pick one of these up to replace my somewhat ailing 1stEd. DYRL...
  23. WOW... it's... Beautiful. sure wish cost could be no object for myself as well...
