  1. the DEVASTATOR, easy. i mean, DEVASTATOR means something to me, too, as i have fond memories of playing with the individual DEVASTATOR vehicles that one of my nephews had over at my grandma's place back in the late '80s. the DEVASTATOR connection parts were missing, but they were still fun for an 8/9year old to play with. that said, at least IMO, just about any MACROSS VF holds to an adult's more sophisticated expectctations than most any TAKARA/HASBRO TRANS-FORMER, especially examples such as DEVASTATOR. again, my best advice; lose the DEVASTATOR, embrace MACROSS with all available gusto...
  2. nah, just thought that you might've been suffering from Glaucoma, is all...
  3. indeed. 91% is the most effective. i use it all the time for truing up paint overruns on model kits. very effective on TAMIYA colors...
  4. ((- Danbooru -))
  5. my pair of new old stock 1972 PIONEER SE-305 headphones are the oldest single piece of electronic gear i own... closely followed by my 1976 PIONEER PL-112D turntable. newest A/V piece i got is a 2007 SONY BDP-S300 BDP. that said, my own PS2 is an early 2000's original, babied all these years. i recently opened her up and thoroughly lubed the disc tray mechanics and laser guide rails. the thing now operates smoother and more quietly than back when it was new...
  6. Alright, everyone join this game effin' NAO; there's Ewoks, for chrissake!!
  7. my puny collection again, back in the place i used to have it a couple years back; BANDAI's HCM VF-1J Minmay and CM's Corp's GUTTO KURU Minmay; 25 years of advancement in design and manufacture;
  8. yep, i was equally pissed about that!! today, however, i generally feel that AIC and Kajishima can just take it all and shove it where the sun don't shine, YMMV. oh well, there was ONE thing that TM did good by me, that has held to this day. well, Ayeka herself specifically, care of TOYNAMI. to be more direct, TOYNAMI's Ayeka 12in. doll, from their short-lived three-doll (Ayeka Jurai/Tenchi Masaki/Ryoko Hakubi) - TM collector's doll series of 2001, was the driving force behind my sudden desire to learn to sew. in fact, here's examples of around ten years of slow, awkward progress in the skill, modeled by that old TOYNAMI Ayeka Jurai, and the much more recent MegaHouse Mikuru Asahina; -CIRCA 2003/'04ish- -CIRCA 2011- - oh, and just because i can;
  9. that some of these latest YAMATO wonders might come down, on the used market at least, to prices i can actually consider being able to afford. the recent MAC 7 1/60 VF-19S DIAMOND FORCE, for example; the old BANDAI 1/100 parts-forming model kit was the very first "transformable" VF i ever owned, back in mid/late '96. would i like to have YAMATO's near perfect 1/60 update? HELL YES. paying $300.00+ for it, though? HELL NO.
  10. not so good a times for me, i'm afraid, in 20/20 hindsight. in fact, these days, the whole of the TM universe personally comes off to me, in the barest possible prose, as one giant assload of ill-conceived and poorly thought out nonsense. a single, barely sustained Brain-Fart, if you will. while i actually did once think rather highly of it, ten years ago, and i actually had a crush on that shrew of a woman, Ayeka Masaki Jurai, today, i cannot seem to even begin to sit through the first OVA alone without suffering indications of sustaining an imminent and decidedly fatal brain aneurysm. that said, i don't really mind passing the pain onto others... anybody want to buy a TM VHS/DVD collection? it would indeed. you're far too much of a Lady for that,,,
  11. couple of little things i managed to treat myself to; PIONEER DV-37 DVD PLAYER (2001) Schoolgirl uniform for my "Rena" Character in the "ELSWORD" MMO;
  12. OH, THAT'S GORGEOUS... and i don't even LIKE MAC-7 either... that said, i just yanked some hand-drawn SDFM X-over art that i did long ago out of storage... thought i'd share;
  13. i suppose... it's still ♥Adorable♥ though, YMMV...
  14. Sure, i realize that. i also realize that this is to be designed like a modern GUNPLA, perfect transformation a bare minimum requirement in my book. further, as a nod to the old 1/72 VARIABLE TYPE, select die-cast metal parts and rubber tires would be a very nice touch indeed, IMHO. perhaps they should approach this thing like a refinement of the 1/100 HI-METAL VF-1. they had some good design there for getting those nacelle modules down to their leg positions, not as good as YAMATO's approach, IMO, but a solid alternative all the same. the arm-swing system of the HI-METAL, i suppose that's serviceable, i dunno. perhaps it could be refined in the larger 1/72 scale of the kit. at any rate, i'm holding my breath for those die-cast parts and a fully non-parts-former based transformation...
  15. well, if they can get those proportions more Yammie 1/60ver. II like, and include die-cast landing gear/shoulder hinges and rubber tires, i'll be all over the damned thing myself...
  16. "ELSWORD" Anime style old-school Action/Platformer style MMO hey guys, just started on this rather awesome MMO, my second ever (AIRMECH being my first) if you like or can stomach ultra Moe cutesyness, and have a wistful fondness for the side-scrolling action/platforming style of gameplay that once dominated both Arcades and home game consoles alike, than this MMO just might be something approaching a Godsend. i know it most certainly was for me, YMMV... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=37904

  18. i used to have that same GUNDAM W wall scroll up in my room ten years ago. i still have it, packed away somewhere. GUNDAM WING never was one of the better series, IMO, but i had no internet a decade back, and only a single local-ish comic shop from which to satiate my Anime/Manga interests on anything approaching a regular basis, so beggars could hardly be choosers, i suppose...
  19. i'm desperately looking for a halfway decent Anime-style PS3 RPG. i'm seriously considering this, it looks to be right up my alley. opinions/advice are most welcome;
  20. well... i certainly hope that this thing includes at least die-cast landing gear and rubber tires. die-cast shoulder and backpack hinges would be nice too, a real sweet nod to the old IMAI parts former, IMO...
  21. how about the joint that connects the "Codpiece Shield" panel to the fuselage? mine broke, so i had to jury-rig a replacement...
  22. the thing still makes an excellent BATTROID, IMHO;
