i had nearly all of the TIGER FORCE vehicles back in the day, the figures too. traded them all to a nephew for some STAR WARS toys that my mother (the big "Warsie" in the family these days) still has to this day...

i almost got myself a D90 back in mid-2009. COSTCO WHOLESALE had a sweet deal on them for perhaps six months or so. incidentally, my local COSTCO had stopped carrying the D90 starter set i had eyes on just as i was about ready to grab one, and began stocking a D5000 set that i ended up with instead. been using it exclusively for my photo work on this site since then, but i need to get about learning to really use it properly...

gonna get them out of the Poppy Paper already, or what?

it sure was, not so terribly long ago. i'm fairly sure that only hardcore collectors are interested in them in this day and age, however. i mean, these things once fetched at least $450 or so, but today? around $100/$150 is the maximum i would expect a pristine example of any of the three releases (VF-1A CANNON FODDER/-1J HIKARU T.V./-1S HIKARU DYRL less FAST PACKS) to be realistically valuated at...

it's had a couple issues, but i've fixed them successfully. if the thing had die-cast hinges for the tail fins and "backpack" linkage, i'd think it virtually indestructible. as it stands, it holds up to ginger handling just fine. that said, anyone interested in the full set of used parts sprues + the two styrofoam blocks for their own incomplete HCM? http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=38609

i remember it well, it was often quite adorable. you guys up there, remembering some of this stuff from back in your respective Elementary and Middle School days... for me it felt like just yesterday!! you're making me feel damned OLD, ya know that? Sheesh, i'm "only" 31, for crissakes!!

GAWD, those things suck hard. only ever owned two, right down there with those old BANPRESTO "PERFECT TRANSFORMATION" game-prize VF-1s in terms of overall crappiness...

whatever floats your boat, i 'spose. still, an awful lot of exceedingly cheap totties in this thread, for my personal taste, at least...

gawd, so many slu!!y, tasteless figures, YMMV...

here's a novel concept; buy and use original PS1, PS2 and PS3 consoles and their related softs of your choice!! a PS4 hitting market hardly means that the many examples of it's predecessor consoles available out there instantly stop working or anything. myself, for instance, i'm one of those lucky/wise few that have been able retain every VG console i've ever owned, all the way back to the NINTENDO NES, as well as favorite choice softs for all of them. sure, it consumes shelf space, and is a minor bother to cycle in and out of my A/V system in comparison to Emulation for older consoles, and backwards compatibility for PS editions, but the flexibility is unparalleled, and preventative maintenance on optical disk-based VGCs goes a long way towards greatly extending their service life. i'll likely be getting an Almighty PS4 like all the rest of you, but i'll be proud and comfortable in the assurance that i wont ever be shooting myself in the foot by disposing of all my classic favorite consoles and related softs just to keep up with the technological joneses...

Bandai 1/72 fully transform able VF-1 plastic kit for Macross 30th Ann

- and that the landing gear and key stress-bearing structural transformational parts will be die-cast, ALA the old IMAI kits. in any case, i'll definitely be down for at least the Ichijo 1J T.V. edition... -
HEAR, HEAR!! gawd am i ever sick of BANDAI's practices in regards to the GP-01...

seems like i'm always fiddling with my YF-19 1/60v.I. as a result, i've had to fully dismantle it to tighten up joints. that in mind, it's in pretty tight shape to this day, considering how many transformations i've run it through so far, and it's manifold of notorious QC issues. my VF-1s see lots of use too, but i seem to always be reaching for that old -19 all the same. for whatever reason, something about the -19 design is just plain "fun" to me, at any given moment 24/7 soon, i plan to retire it, in favor of the VF-19S 1/60 i plan to get from HK collectibles just as soon as i can afford it next...

a much better method in which to achieve a dynamic-looking static YF-19 1/60v.I BATTROID pose. YMMV; a single-notch forward-canting of the GERWALK thigh joints, combined with a slight rearward tilt of the torso, enough for a natural posture, and for the hips to clear the pelvic glove-mountings for better "A" leg-spread, does wonders towards a better neutral BATTROID stance, IMHO anyhow; OH!! finally someone around here that owns her!! any idea on whether she can be found anymore, or what her current going rate might be?

uh, the 2JA is a completely different design from the 2SS. i seriously doubt much of anything could be retooled from a hypothetical 2SS toy for use in a 2JA one...

to bad; the leg-flex of the 1/60v.I is a whole lot more attractive. absolutely certain there is no way to get the 1/60v.II's legs closer to that? too bad...
