  1. Here is what I am working on.... It is the W.H.A.M. 1/5000 Macross SDF-1 reconfigured into the TV version with Daedalus and Prometheus attached instead of the ARMD-01 and -02. I didn't like the IMAI/ARII kits since the arms cannot bend and the legs do not have good stance in storm attacker mode. Here is an early photo. I will post some better photos later.
  2. From the album: W.H.A.M. SDF-1 TV Version

This is a W.H.A.M. 1/5000 scale SDF-1 painted in TV version colors. The Daedalus and Promethus are from an IMAI kit.
  3. Wow! What a cool collection Miriya. I am way behind with mine. But I am starting to gather a few more pieces here and there....
  4. These destroids by Yamato are actually very detailed. They are just as detailed as the old Imai model kits, but now are 1/60 in scale instead of 1/72. All this and not to mention being more poseable is a good reason for me to get one. But I am sure the price will be as high as their 1/60 Tomahawks.
  5. Since there is a backlog of stuff, I wasted no time in getting the next model finished. Here is another item hot off the workbench. This is Bandai's 1/100 Commander Type Glaug tactical pod (25th Macross Anniversary Edition). The paint scheme is more in tune with box artwork or the TV version. Therefore, not all the decals that came with the kit were applied, like the bright yellows, whites and the blue/white Zentradi logos. Slight weathering was applied for detailling effects. A Revoltech Regult was included for scale comparision. Additional photos are in the Photo Gallery. Next up....custom W.H.A.M 1/5000 Macross SDF-1, TV edition.

Here is the 1/100 scale Bandai Glaug next to Revoltech's Regult tactical pod. Both have slight weathering applied for a more detailed effect.
  7. From the album: Glaug Tactical Pod

Here is Kamjin's Commander Type Tactical Pod by Bandai. It is the 1/100 scale 25th Macross Anniversary Edition. The paint scheme is the TV series version, so a lot of the brighter color decals (yellow and whites) were left out. It is more like the box cover artwork.

  12. Your son is really lucky to have a 1/55 valk. I think I got wood blocks to play with at that age.
  13. Actually, I thought Kawamori-san could have played this episode out with a cliffhanger ending. After the scene with Cathy discovering Ozma unconscious, Kawamori should have shown a distraught Alto going backstage to see Ranka. He tells her something and then we see her drop the paper airplane she was holding to the floor. End of episode. That would have brought some intense moments for new and original Macross SDF fans alike, since we will have to wait until the next episode to find out if Ozma survivied. But then again, that might be more than most fans can handle.
  14. After watching this episode again, I can't help but wonder what happened to Basara? Did he end up with Mylene or her older giant sister Emilia? Or did Mylene picked Gamlin? This episode at least tells us there is still a strong following for Fire Bomber!
  15. Thanks. Your set is probably the best of the bunch that I have built. I am glad you are enjoying it. Hopefully, I can bring a custom set to MacrossCon 2009. I already have ideas floating around.
  16. Really awesome setup Macrossman. Thanks for the compliments guys, but a lot of credit should goto Macrossman too for putting the diorama back together after the shipping process. The set was sent via US Postal Service, which did their best at throwing the diorama container around and using it for a soccer ball. A lot of the pieces came off or broke off after it got to Arkansas. I saw the photos of the set when it arrived and it did not look pretty. So Macrossman went on a mission to rebuild and repair it, and to make it better. I must congratulate him on a job well done. At least three valks have a nice place to hang around. But that custom 1/48 VF-1D made it more awesomer!
  17. Hey Macrossman, Really nice collection and setup. You didn't waste time by putting the ground crew to work! Also, that custom 1/48 VF-1D looks awesome. I'm glad the diorama worked out.
  18. When Ozma and Brera were fighting in the dark corridor and the lights getting shot out, it has some reference back to DYRL when Max and Miria were fighting in the dark and lights going out.

    Macross SDF-1 TV Version

SDF-1 as seen in the original Macross TV series.
  20. Buy it Now for $699.99! Don't forget another $65 for shipping. I sense speculators are artifically driving the prices up. This "Weathered Roy Special" bubble will hopefully deflate soon.
