  1. Something unique! A couple of dioramas for for the SDF-1. I have completed one and started working on the second one. When both are completed, I will post some photos up. I hope you have something in the works too.
  2. Yea Cowie, the legs were the most difficult to work with, especially the area with the ridges. It seems that the plastic pieces don't fit too well sometimes. When it is a cheap model kit, Bandai just did not invest too much time and effort in a better mold. But it was easy to build. The only problem I ran into was with the decals. Somehow, the decal softener MicroSol wrinkles the decals around the legs. I bought three of those lens for $2.85 at my local hobby store. It does make the figure more realistic. So on to the next project....
  3. After seeing this episode's ending with the Vajra planet, I am wondering if the end credit sequence with the Skull squadron flying over the blue sky takes place on that planet. Maybe the Macross Frontier Island 1 will become uninhabitable or destroyed in the near future. Therefore all the survivors seek shelter on this planet after some negotiations with the Vajras.
  4. The weathered VF-1J looks great, but maybe a little over weathered. However, Yamato should consider a weathered 1/60 line as well. Their business plan is probably do more limited editions for the 1/48 line before phasing them out. Then the special edition 1/60 line come into play. Hopefully that means a weathered 1/60 destroid line as well.
  5. Here's a quick and simple job during between long projects. This is a 1/100th scale Destroid Phalanx from the Bandai 25th Anniversary Macross model kit. This was built with a little less refinement than my other model kits; less sanding, painting and detailing. It was a quickie assembly, but then again, it was a rather inexpensive kit (around $7). I'll load up some better photos later on.
  6. The price tag in one of the photos stated to be released around September. But the price of 4,725 Yen is a bit pricey for a model kit. I will let someone actually build one of these and wait for their feedback before making a purchase.
  7. Watching the preview for Episode 21, did anyone noticed that the VF-1A on top of Mihoshi high school is gone? Was it destroyed in the Vajra attack? Wonder if Alto will fly that since he couldn't get to his VF-25?
  8. The reason why it had to happen was the voice actor needed to free up time for playing Tierra's voice, in Gundam 00: Season Two, which starts in October.
  9. Model VF-1D, number VT102. Hikaru's first flight in a variable fighter was in this valkyrie. Misa saved Hikaru's life for the first time when she told him about the "B" control panel lever in this valkyrie. Hikaru saved Minmei for the first time in this valkyrie. And Hikaru took down the first battlepod in his first combat role in this valkyrie. Of course, I am going to get this VF-1D!!!!
  10. Now Gallia IV is officially called i-Planet, new home of Apple Corporation.
  11. Another one off the assembly line... Here's some better photos of the custom W.H.A.M. 1/5000 scale Macross SDF-1 TV Version. It is painted with the deep blue and white trim seen in the original TV show. It has the Daedalus and Prometheus attached instead of the ARMD-01 and -02. Since the IMAI Storm Attacker Macross SDF-1 has limited movements of the arms and legs, it lacked any poseability for display. The Wave High Advance Model's SDF-1 is the natural choice as the basis for a more poseable TV version. By combining the Daedalus and Prometheus from the IMAI kit with minimum modification, the W.H.A.M Macross has now a more original look. And an re-enactment of a scene from Macross:SDF Episode 06, Daedalus Attack.

An re-enactment of a scene from Macross:SDF Episode 06, Daedalus Attack. This was a strategy devised by Chief Operator Misa Hayes after the failure of the SDF-1 main guns. W.H.A.M. 1/5000 SDF-1 TV Version with Daedalus and Prometheus rather than ARMD-01 and -02. The Daedalus and Prometheus are from an IMAI 1/5000 Macross SDF-1 model kit. The two ships were slightly modified to fit onto Waves' SDF-1 arm connection.
