  1. Thanks. Some shots were similar to DYRL movie opening battle as well. There was a little temptation to add a Budweiser beer can into the missile barrage too. Maybe that'll be included in Part 2. Again, this is just something for all of us Macross fans.
  2. Yamato is really expanding their line of weathered products. Pretty soon, they will be releasing limited weathered editions of Ryomou from Ikkitousen and Motoko from Ghost in the Shell.
  3. Now that's HOT!!!!! I wonder what Alto is thinking? Hmmmm......(get your mind out of the gutter).
  4. Reanimation of Macross SDF, Episode 8, with stop-go motion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gP5mGiKvxI4
  5. Resistance is futile! Must get 1/2000 Macross. Must save money. The ARMD is bigger than that 1/60 VF-1D. Oh my gosh, I can only imagine the shipping charge for this thing when I order this next year!
  6. Those ARMDs look like the size of a 1/48 valk. This is way too epic!!
  7. Wow! I am glad that I got the Ver 2 VF-1D. It looks better than the old one, especially the neck area and the shoulders. But the panel lines on the old one are more visible and well defined. Why did Yamato put shallow panel lines on the new one??
  8. Just received my VF-1D from HLJ. Yeh They included the Sherly Nome decals for the 1/72 VF-25 at no cost in the package. Yeh again! The shippment did not include the VF-1 Super Strike Parts that was on the invoice. Doohhh!!!
  9. My VF-1D with super/strike parts should be arriving any day now....tick...tick...tick Just be patient...
  10. The good news is that I have noticed the top bidding prices on Ebay items have dropped a lot. That weathered VF-1S is not going to cost $500+ anymore.
  11. Wow! My state, California, had a 10.1% unemployment rate in January. That is high. What I worry more about are the byproducts of a deep recession; crime and social unrest. The crime statistics so far have not shown any dramatic increases. However, I do worry that California and the whole US can end up like Robocop's version of Detroit.
  12. Well with all the gloom and doom, think of it this way... This EPIC global recession cannot be any worse than an all out Zentraedi attack on Earth. Seriously, I would take being poor than having a laser cannon barrage from space. So I am confident that all of us will live through this to collect another Macross item.
  13. Yamato now needs to make some Zentraedi vessels to the same scale as the 1/2000 SDF-1 to put things over the top for Macross fans.
  14. The way Minmei looks sitting in the back seat reminds me of the many airplane rides I had riding in "economy" seats. I still fly coach, but at least I can imagine it is the back seat of a VF-1D now.
  15. Yea, I am with Jenius on the credit card issue. The credit card companies are like vampires and preys on the many. It is nice to know there are people in this world that turn the tables on them and use the credit card companies to get money back. I know many are worried about this global economic crisis. I cannot offer any solutions or comforting words, but it is a good time to put the things and services that we NEED in life first over things and services that we WANT in life. Unfortunately, toys are a "want" item. But if there is any money left over after paying off all the needs, save some and spend some on things that are in the WANT category. Choose toys more carefully. Think twice, buy once.
  16. I would buy this when it comes out as the price will be close to two 1/48 valks ($299). I expect Yamato to release a weathered version months after its initial release. Maybe a TV sersion is likely if the market demands are high. Hope the world economic down turn will be over by then.
  17. I am just glad Yamato included guns and missiles for this valk. I was worried that just because it was a trainer model that no weapons were going to be included. And I just paid for my order on HLJ, so it should be at my doorstep in a week.
  18. Yamato will never do that since they want you to buy all four valks to collect all four different heads. It makes good business sense especially in this economic environment. But they can provide four different heads easily, since they already provide several different hands in the package.
  19. Now that I looked at the photos again of the Cannon Fodder VF-1J, the brownish tan color is too light. Compare to the 1/48 VF-1A version, this 1/60 version seems to have a light mocha cream color instead of the earth tone brown. Why such a light color?
  20. The Cannon Fodder VF-1J was a trainer jet for Hikaru before he got his Vermillion One with the white and red color scheme, in episode 6 or something like that. I thought it was an animation error because all the other brownies in the show were VF-1As. I am surprised Yamato is going for this version.
  21. I own one of the Jack Archer "YF-1R" veritechs and it is seriously loose and floppy in figter mode. It does not have the tight fit and snap to secure fit from Bandai and Yamato. The hips are screwed to the swing bar limiting posability. It does have a unique head, so that it is one of a kind. But not worth more than $40.
  22. I will have to redo Minmei's figure for a proper fit into the cockpit. That figure in the photo just looks to awkward in the backseat. It almost looks like her knees are touching her chin.
  23. I just saw this on HLJ.com and does anyone know more info than what is posted on their site? http://www.hlj.com/product/BCL2880
  24. Those Tachikomas look small compare to the Macross stuff.
  25. Is that a 1/87 scale Dodge Ram pickup driven by Chuck Norris from the Texas Ranger TV show?
