Yup, that's how that problem was discovered.

The chest armor does not fit onto certain VF-1 series. For example, VF-1D has a taller chest plate which cannot accept the chest armor without some rework to the armor piece.

It would be perfect if Hasegawa offers just the decal sheet for the 1/48 VF-1. That way, at least we can apply those to our Yamato 1/48 VF-1 if we want to.

Thanks Vespaeda. I am already starting work on Part 3 A New Frontier. Hopefully, I can do animation on other mecha anime, like Full Metal Panic or Code Geass, in the near future. Stay safe out there.

Haha, thanks SchizophrenicMC...you got almost all of the Gundam 00 references. This is kind of an inside joke for Macross fans since Shoji Kawamori was inspired by Gundam anime, and the original Macross series/movie shared so much of the sound effects with the Gundam series as well. So this was just a nod back to that original Macross/Gundam relationship. hehe...

Just finished watching Busou Renkin. I really like it. The main characters Kazki and Tokiko battle supernatural beings with powers from their weapons, Busou Renkin. I wish there was more story involving.Kazki and his sister and school buddies. Overall pretty enjoyable.

I wonder how many of these 1/48 model parts can be installed on the Yamato 1/48 valks. I think the head and gunpod are the obvious parts. Maybe some parts of the cockpit. This kit can be used to up detail a tranformable VF-1. Hehe...just thinking out loud about the possibilities...

Hehe thanks...Big East Productions sounds great. Too bad Bandai is not exactly sponsoring my animations. This hobby tends to get pricey! But it's all for fun and for Macross and other animation fans. BTW...there are some Gundam 00 references in this one.

I have loosen the arm shoulder screws, which holds the arm ball joint, by a 1/4 turn. This lessen the stress on the pins when rotating the arms.

Bingo! Thanks Macrossman and Miriya. That is a 1/60 diorama with a Ver 2.0 CF VF-1J (repainted and weathered) along with an armored VF-1D with twin Strike Cannons and twin gunpods for maximum firepower. Hikaru would have faired much better in this VF-1D.
