Finished watching Bakemonogatari(Ghost/Monster Stories). Pretty enjoyable series with a familiar anime voice. The main character, Koyomi Araragi, is voiced by the same Japanese voice actor who did Tieria Arde(Gundam 00) and Michael Blanc (Macross Frontier). I was waiting for Araragi-kun to yell "Alto!"

Well...yeah. The recent Acura designs are not eye pleasing. If it is a futuristic sharp design that they are going after, then they are doing it wrong.

They should at least sell poster size replicas for people who want to hang one or two on the wall next to their Macross collection.

Wow! Now this is the one that I would get, if I can justify paying 39,990Yen for. What's with these web exclusive items Yamato? After shipping and other cost, it will likely be $500.

I have an older Revell X-Wing that is pretty close to 1/48 scale. It is about 12.5 inches(31cm) from nose to tail booster. This X-wing is displayed above a 1/48 VF-1J which has a similar white with red trim color scheme. Maybe Luke Skywalker will fit into the cockpit of a VF-1.

Finished watching Bubblegum Crisis (1987 version). It has pretty impressive artwork, almost Macross DYRL quality to it. And Priss's Red Motoslave is almost like Houquet de Rose's(Rook Bartley's)Armor Cycle(Cyclone).

That's really good detailing on the valk. Fits the scene well...hehe.

Finished Bubblegum Crisis 2040. Moving on to Blue Gender which has a Mospeada like feel to it.

I know I have watched too much Gundam when I saw the pale green Northern Lights in the Alaskan night sky and the thought of GN particles from a GN Drive came to my mind.

A 1/48 VF-25 would be great. But I don't know if Hasegawa has license to go into Macross Frontier products yet.

A brief history....I did built the Macross City with the SDF-1 on the island a couple of years ago. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?app=gallery&module=images&section=viewimage&img=1022 I did planned on bringing it to MacrossCon09 but it was purchased by another Macrossworld member before the Con. This time however, this diorama will be at the Con10.

Toynami needs to crank out more Regults since stores are running out of the regular types. Therefore, we can buy more.

Alright...I thought of building a Arii's 1/5000 SDF-1 Storm Attacker model kit for the MacrossCon10 in Los Angeles this year. Then I thought of putting it in a Lake Global, like in the TV series after that epic battle with Boddole's Zentraedi fleet. And then it got out of hand when I decided to build a miniature Macross City around it.... This diorama is about 85% complete with more parts of the city to be added. And it will probably be at the Con in October. More photos of it later on.

This 1/3000 version seems a lot more reasonable in terms of size, even for people with lots of display room. The 1/2000 version is a bit much and a little too large to stuff into most display cases. I hope this is not a web exclusive item with a high $$ tag. Is there any word if this is an assembled and painted figure or one of those "do-it-yourself" type of kit?

Started watching Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040. Not sure what it has to do with bubblegum though.

These are starting to look better and better with Yamato charging exotic prices for their 1/60 Regult. I could almost see these Toynami 1/100 Regults being recommended as a "Best Buy" by Consumer Reports.

Does anyone know if these are going to be molded in color? I would think for 40,000 yen, the parts should be at least molded in color and snap fitted together like the Bandai Perfect Grade 1/60 Gundams.

I have a couple of valks(1/60 VF-1J and 1/72 VF-25S) on my desk at the office for display. They sit on Yamato and Lost and Found stands so I rarely play with them. But I BUSTED another co-worker from another department trying to transform the VF-25. Luckily, I caught him before he was able to do any permanent damages.
