Another link between Gundam Unicorn and Bubblegum Crisis is that the voice actor(Shuichi Ikeda) for Full Frontal(Char 2.0) is the same for Brian J. Mason.

I know how everyone feels having to wait half a year per Gundam Unicorn episode. But they are delivering high quality artwork and strong storyline that will make this a cult Gundam classic. This is like how Bubblegum Crisis episodes were released with long intervals in between. But the artwork, action and story were all top notch.

I can understand their actions(hording salt) with the limited information that they have. But at this point, probably a few applications of SPF 85 sunscreen offers more protection than iodized salt.

I had a business trip to go up to Aomori next week. Even though it was not affected like Sendai, I cancelled the hotel up there today. With road closures, limited rail service and electricity service, it is best to stay away for now. That trip has been postponed until this situation settles a bit.

Thanks Kirik for the Red Cross info. I just made a donation. Hopefully, everyone can do a little part to help out.

Watching D. Gray Man. The character Kanda looks like Saotome Alto from Macross Frontier. -
BBC is showing the video of the explosion at the Fukushima Daiichi power plant. Earthquake, tsunami and nuclear meltdown. Each one of these is a terrible disaster on its own. But to have all these happening all at once to one country is beyond words.

Biggest quake to hit Japan in 1200 years, as reported from BBC " The 8.9-magnitude earthquake which struck Japan on Friday was the strongest in the area in nearly 1,200 years, David Applegate, a senior science adviser at the US Geological Survey, tells the Associated Press. He says the quake ruptured a patch of the earth's crust 240km (150 miles) long and 80km (50 miles) across. "

Our business trip to Aomori has been cancelled as just announced by our boss. There is no power in Aomori due to the power plant shutdown. My other co-workers reported to be ok on the Marshall Islands and in Hawaii. The amount of power unleashed by these super quakes are unimaginable. The largest quake I have ever experienced was 7.3 in 1992 at Southern California. It was impossible to walk without falling down. So an 8.9 quake, about 160 times more powerful, is almost incomprehensible. Even though I wish for the best outcome for Japan and other countries affected, it is difficult to ignore the terrible reality of this event. All I can say is to be prepare for emergencies at all times and help others in need when a crisis does occur. Do your best everyone.

The giant "Super Dimensional" aliens in Freezing reminds me of the Angels in Evangelion. And using girls just in skimpy outfits(not really an issue) to fight off these aliens is questionable. The girls should be issued EVA units or at least some giant mecha. Gunbuster comes to mind. -

Yup. I just read the Mustang Boss 302 performance stats and it is incredible. It would be the best performance buy this decade if not for the dealership markup. I would trade in my MazdaSpeed3 for this car since it gets slightly better gas mileage. You know...to help the environment and all that. Hope Ford will put that engine into future Mustang editions. -

Currently watching Freezing. Basically a lot of girls combating each other ending with ecchii results. The series is like a combination of Ikki Tousen and Aika. Finished Kaze no Stigma. It is a decent series that is fun to watch with some humor, like Chrome Shelled Regios. -

Just read the stats on the 2012 Honda Civic Si. It gains 3HP with the 2.4L engine and 30+ft-lb of torque. So it will have 200HP and 170ft-lb of torque. It looks like Honda is not into the horsepower war with Ford, Subaru, Mazda, and VW. But the Si become more fuel efficient, up to 31MPG on the highways. One the bright side, the 1.6L 200HP turbocharged CR-Z seems like the most interesting product from Honda in the near future. -

Watching Ergo Proxy. A really confusing story so far that is full of dark images. A little too gothic in the ambience. -
Oh no....What have they done to the sleek VF-25 design?

Started watching Kaze no Stigma. The red hair girl, Ayano, has the same explosive temper as Chidori Kaname from Full Metal Panic. So far, it is enjoyable with the mix of comedy and action. -

With all the limbs getting torn off in graphic gory details, it was definitely not your usual anime. I had to stop eating red meat for a few days after watching this... -

After watching Elfen Lied, I have an ambivalent feeling for the ending. While the story is good, the ending left some things open. I got the same feeling after Chrono Crusade. It's bittersweet. And Kouta seemed clueless to his surroundings through out most of the series, even with his traumatic childhood experience factored into the character. -

Bart, the helmsman, got the short straw in this series. His love interest did not worked out as he had planned. Funny how the cool and calm doctor was able to win over the ladies at the end. -
Hehe..thanks guys.

I just finished watching Vandread. That was the best anime I have seen in a long time. I just want more more more! Really interesting story...men and women fighting each other in the far future with giant mecha (like Zentrans and Meltrans). Good action. The CGI animation for the mecha is not that great by today's standards, but the great story and characters really make up for it. Good amounts of comedy and dirty humor. The Pyoro NAVI tempermental robot provided good laughs. The ending was really great, the way Hibiki finally understands the situation. This is like Eureka 7 and Gurren Lagann rolled into one but with a better conclusion to the story. -
Here is the finished Motoslave motorcycle with Priss' hardsuit from Aoshima's 1/12 scale Bubblegum Crisis kit. It has the metallic finish, similar to the Yamato metallic figure, that gives it a little more flash and wow factor. There are some visible gaps in the motorcycle mode due to the transformable nature of the kit. Overall this kit is not too terrible to build, and it does require more work than the snap-fit Bandai VF-25 kits. But it does look pretty slick once it is put together. Now if only Aoshima has Sylia's, Nene's and Linna's hardsuit as well...

Wow. The pieces on the TIE fighter looks pretty large. I wonder how it compares to the 1/48 VF-1 in size.
