    After I built the 1/72 VF11B model, I have since taken a fondness for the sleek and simple design. So I am waiting for another HLJ sale for the 1/60 version.

    Thanks Benson and MT. I assembled the pilot first as per instruction and then I started painting the blue flight suit. After that, I painted in the white gloves, chest piece, and helmet. The gloss black was applied next to the helmet area and chest piece. Flat black for the shoulder area. Finally, yellow highlights for the helmet and shoulder pads. Now that I think about it, it would have been easier to glue the helmet on last since it gets in the way of the shoulder pads while painting. I am really starting to warm up to the VF-11. Maybe I will pickup an 1/60 Yamato VF-11B sometime later when more $$ is available.

    Just completed the 1/72 VF-11B Thunderbolt with a light naval gray color scheme. The kit comes with landing gear down as the only choice. So some minor modifications to the landing gear doors were made so they can close flush with the body. Other than that, it was a simple build.

    Caught up to Gundam Unicorn: Episode 5, The Black Unicorn. I still don't understand what the Unicorn gundam is suppose to unlock that everyone is afraid of. At least Banagher is less "lost" in this epsiode and has a better sense of purpose. The animation graphics is top notch again. I wish more anime would have such a rich look to the animation.

    Finished Tower of Druaga. It's OK. Much better than that other video game based anime Ragnarok.

    Ok. Thanks mikeszekely. I will try that. I bought this cheapy 15.6" Lenovo laptop for $299 for work travel. I was just setting it up out of the box when the Media Player failed. Maybe I should have bought an Asus Transformer, but then it does not run MS Powerpoint, Projects, Excel and Word on a big 15.6" screen.

    Thanks for the inputs. Great information. To explain the weathering, Macross aircraft travel in and out of the atmosphere on a routine basis, like the retired space shuttles. And spacecraft returning to earth always looked fairly weathered due to the high re-entry temperatures and speeds. That is why the shuttle and the X-37 spy craft looked more used than a typical Beoing 747 for the same flight hours. If anyone wants to put some of their own creations, please do so. This is actually pretty cool artwork concept. Wish Yamata and Bandai would make their box art like this for their Macross line.
