Ah ha. I've got it now. All you have to do is unscrew the waist and swap the legs. This will require you to rotate the waist 180 degrees for the transformation, which I was having problems with at first, but it works if you raise one leg 90 degrees, rotate at the waist 180 degrees, and then lower it back down facing the opposite direction. This should allow more clearance at the back for the leg to pass by the rear panel. EDIT ...and after figuring this out, I found his post on TFW that describes it better. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-cus...ee-leg-mod.html

Ok, so this one isn't completely animated, but I felt it appropriate.

It's not MP Starscream, but it's the same scale as him.

Wow, I can see how working landing gear might pose a design problem for a replica. -

For those like me who don't have intimate knowledge on these things, I assume you are referring to this: http://www.anft.net/f-14/f14-detail-gearmain.mpeg -
I'm more interested in the display you have him on. Looks like a flexible camera tripod screwed into a CD spindle cover. Nice.

Are you looking for anything specific? That description sounds like a lot of transformable aircraft.

A game with 3D graphics limited to a 2D grid for a playing field is still a 2D game. I never said it was just a perspective change, I was just using Metroid as an example. You want another one? How about turning an RTS into an MMORPG? Seemed to work well for Blizzard. All I'm saying is that just because a game doesn't exist in the same genre as it's predecessors, doesn't mean it is going to suck. If that's not the game for you, then that's cool, but that doesn't make everyone elses opinions automatically wrong either.

So we're getting Animated Powered Commander?
-
I'm taking a wait and see stance. Just because it is a FPS doesn't mean it's going to suck. Metroid Prime is a decent example of a 2D genre that was done well in 3D. Granted, I was also hoping for another incarnation of the traditional FM style on the new consoles, but this could be interesting if it has a Mechwarrior or Earthsiege / Starseige style approach to FPS combat.

Not to nit pick, but it just said Missile Launchers, not "Working" missile launchers. It is possible that it is just solid molded plastic. However, having said that, I also believe that Hasbro will throw in a few gimmicks, and a working missile launcher on a leader class jet would make sense.

Animated has this. Prime's struggle in dealing with Elita 1's fate, Megatron's very complex plans, Sentinal's use of fear tactics to unite Cybertron under his command. Animated also has at least 3 permanent deaths, though, not as epic as "Code of Hero". Even without the nods, the stories stand up very well on their own. Almost all of the nods were completely optional in this series, and it stands VERY well without them. However, putting them in gives older fans a cool nod. That's your opinion, and it's cool, but I don't miss watching firefights every episode where nobody ever gets hit, and if they do, it's never fatal unless a plot device requires them to die (ala the original movie). Again, I've got nothing against your opinion, but for me, having a large cast only reduces the screen time for each character, limiting the amount of characterization they can have. Even with the cast of Animated, there were a LOT of characters I wanted to see more of.

Seconded.

Doesn't look anything like Dead Space to me. Just a "people going insane in space" story.

Breakaway and "Aerialbot" are both autobots. Breakaway is the Joint Strike Fighter and I believe the Aerialbots are F-16s. That would leave Starscream (F-22) and Seekers (F-18) for the Decepticons. -

Yup, you're right. If you watch the multiplayer video it transforms into an F-18. -
Correct.

It's not Hasbro that only wants one line on the shelf. The retailers sold so much in movie merchandise that they aren't ordering non-movie toys. This is why we are getting the gestalts in movie packaging instead of Universe packaging as originally intended. This is the main reason the last animated waves were rushed or put on hiatus as well as why some of the last Universe waves were hard to find. Places like Walmart and Target took the shelf space that was dedicated to these toys and re-assigned it to lines that were making them more money. Hasbro can't push a product that isn't being ordered. This is why I suspect that after the movie hype dies off and the retailers start to see a drop in movie toy sales, we will see the return of the Universe line with the canceled animated figures in addition to any line that Hasbro has planned for Post-Movie.
-
They are currently canceled, but I'd bet that they make a return as part of the next "Universe" line after the movie line dies down. It doesn't make financial sense to not release them. There were official listing for them, which means the molds are there. It's just not going to release now because movie product is going to flood the market.

The brown one is Breakaway, and is based on the JSF as Vince said. The one painted up like Skywarp looks like it was made for the game, as there aren't any figures or movie models of him that I've seen. Based on the wings and cockpit, I'd bet on an F-16 if I had to pick between that and the F-18. -
I think you might need to be more specific.

I suppose my attempt at brief humor was lost considering it made more sense in my head than it does looking at it now. I tried to put an emote in there for clarification but seems to have failed as well. Oh well. I'm not intending to "start anything" and I even agree with these last few posts. We all share a common interest here, and I don't believe it's anyone's intent to anger another board member. Speaking of Masterpeice, I had a passing urge to mold a Cosmos head for the Yamato Monster. Not really accurate, but he would be a cooler Autobot version of Astrotrain. No?
