  1. From wiki: The Su-34's most distinctive feature is the unusually large flight deck, which not only provides side-by-side seating, but includes space for a galley, a latrine, and a bunkbed. It was joked that "It's got a bigger cockpit than the Tu-160". Much of the design work went into crew comfort, which resulted in novel features such as pressurization provided by the air conditioning system, rather than with oxygen masks and a massage function in the K-36 ejector seats. Niiiiiiiiice. :-)

    Please Read

Noted. And thanks for the heads up.
  3. Griffon! YES!! Hopefully, it won't mean an 'underwater' variant next instead of different labors...
  4. 1/60s DO have better proportions than 1/48s! Truth.
  5. The crooked gunpod is not really a show stopper but wouldn't it bug you that such a pricy and otherwise gorgeous model would have such a dumb flaw? I simply don't have the heart to start filing and cutting up such a tiny crevice to attempt righting the gunpod... might end up a lot worse and terribly unsightly. It confounds me that a CAD project can end up like this when the old 1/60 VF-1s mostly got away with their higher fit tolerances. With Yamato, things are almost always better the second time around. <-- Think I'll make that my sig.

    VF-X2 toys

The 'removable legs' feature on the new '19 gave me an idea: Yamato can sell a full-featured 1/60 Konig Monster in '3 Installments'... Body, left leg, right leg at $150 a cut.
  7. ... so that you can plug in the extra armaments from the Red Shoulder Custom / Turbo Custom etc.
  8. My heart skipped a beat when the right tailfin popped off during the Gerwalk transformation!
  9. Urban Camo... with a bright orange 'Shoot Here' patch
  10. My first thought was: Joons Clown Custom! But seriously, good job :-)
  11. How about a wee Wii? :-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B82SJOJKPL4 Only 1.5"...
  12. Actually, after reading very carefully I have doubled my resolve to wait out this Ver 1.0. It's all for the love of the YF-19, really.
  13. NEWED WARS!!! Bwahahah Great review, Graham - gracias!
  14. I can see it now: DX Ver 2.0... with 'anime hands' +++, yeah I'm a cynic :-)
  15. Thinks to myself: Hmm, what was that recent $150 gorgeous-and-long-awaited transforming toy with diecast parts that could break if you posed it wrong?

    1/48 GBP

I hereby nominate 'Green-Grey' as the Toy Controversy of the Year... :-)
  17. 2 main points of concern from the preceding pix: How do the cannons rotate? Cute lil' biceps?
  18. Looks like the 5-buck SDF can at least rotate the 4 main shoulder cannons independantly... not sure about the WAVE at all.
  19. If the YF-19 does well I think a 1/60 VF-11(B) will be released before we get to a 1/60 YF-21. Simple marketing reasons... save the best for last.
  20. Got my RvT-014 Patlabor Ingram 2 yesterday. Basically the same as Ingram 1 (of course), but with the riot shotgun-molded-to-hand. Also, Kaiyodo has added new versions of detented joints in Ingram 2's elbows and neck. Previously, those joints were simple friction-grip pieces. Not sure if they actually add anything to the poseability as the arms and head aren't heavy at all. In fact, the non-detented joints allow MORE degrees of movement in certain situations... Still, nifty little toy just like No. 1. Now it's definitely the best Ingram 2 toy EVAH! (LOL)
  21. 'Cause that would be OUT OF CHARACTER for Yamato's marketing dept.
  22. That's loooong time for a 'turd' to come out.
  23. Only in a monetary sense. The 1/55s are toy treasure! :-)
  24. Take your time, TerTer! It's easy to jump the gun and mess up some parts :-P - The S-Curve polycap for the shoulder/hip shield-blades: Ensure the direction is corret before snapping the enclosure over it. - The trademark 'caps': they have a small notch to match up with the respective joint-pegs... not like the old rubber caps which you could plug-in any way you like. - The curve plates over the feet: Definitely NOT snap fit - bring out the superglue. Have fun!
  25. I guess those who have taken any of the tips to heart should try them out and post accordingly to other threads like the 'Strike A Pose' discussion. Once, a shooter gets comfortable with achieving what he wants and expects with his set-up, then he can proceed to having more 'fun' in PS etc. This thread can continue for those who have questions about particular problems etc...
