Kitz Concept Toy Thread 2.0
vladykins replied to Stampeed Valkyrie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I don't know about the KC version since I ditched mine awhile ago, but the HMR feet are on a ball joint which you can pop off and pop back on the right way. With new legs coming, you want to test that out?- 2451 replies

It really depends on a lot of factors. How quickly do you want the item versus are you willing to wait. You can typically get this a little cheaper from the Japanese stores directly, but then you'll pay a lot more for shipping, which tends to bring the price somewhat into parity with what you'll pay for something like the US store BBTS (which charges $4 flat shipping rate). The difference is that, assuming the October release holds, you'll have the Japanese shop send it to you in October and it will be in your hands, whereas BBTS has to wait for the container with your toy to arrive stateside, make it through customs, get shipped to them and then they ship it to you. With the shipping issues covid and stuff like the Suez being blocked created, BBTS has been getting their stuff about two or so months after release. I want two- and I know I'll be jealous of those who get theirs from Japan way before me, so I POed one from AE. I'm ordering my second from BBTS because I also like supporting a US vendor as they start to get more of these Macross releases so that Bandai sees there is continued demand here. I tend to do this same pattern with many of the toys- for example, the Sentinel Iota legioss I did BBTS, since I could wait a bit on that (knowing I had the other two already on my shelf), but the Houquet ride armor I knew I would not be able to wait two more months for it, so went with HLJ in Japan.

So now I have to decide if I want the headguns centered or slightly back? This is too much of a decision. PO CANCELLED TOO! It definitely looks like an integrated heatshield, given that small gap between the heatshield and rear of the cockpit. I think I'll end up with two now.

hahahaha, I;m guessing the initials are DF? I've argued with him one time when he presented every new scene showing a ship meant that it was a new instance of that ship; I indicated that unless they were in the same scene together it is possible we could be seeing the same ship multiple times. Going back to a much earlier conversation: I think the Logan would not have been so bad if they'd arranged to have the front cockpit fold down to make a decent battloid mode as opposed to the gerwalky "battloid" mode.

While the potential is always there, my HMRs is one that I don't see a lot of yellowing on.

I'm so excited I think I wet myself!

Got Houquet in a variation of the cover photo pose, but will likely switch her to armor mode once I get brave enough to try out the instruction manual. -

While it is speculation, KC does like incorporating LED lights into their VF-1s and appears to have done so for the sensor on the Regult as well. It appears they have them on the spotlights on the Defender and it looks like you can see an LED bulb on the autocannon gun pod as well. The specific choice to use clear plastic in these zones leads me to believe they'll be lighting them up with LEDs.- 2451 replies

The clear parts on the missiles and guns of the destroids makes me hesitant- not sure if they will make those light-up, which some may think is cool but is a bit of a turn-off for me. I'd love a Phalanx but not with light up missiles. And the whole gun pod assembly on the Tomahawk lighting up? No thanks.- 2451 replies

Not sure I can justify $60 for a 6 inch none-transformable SDF-1 statue. I still have a ton of RPG Tactics figures that are still in boxes at my office untouched. -
As long as that Klingon battle music is there when the K'Tingas go after V'ger, I'm good.

And at this point, I still hope for the HMR (not due to price so much as for the fact that a 1/60 Monster is hard to find space for lol).
-
Not doubting them yet- they have been delivering. But I didn't make space for Houquet until the preorder as well. Plus a tread really changes how I currently have them (with a lot of legioss and two treads packed in a small space, with the blue Toynami "alpha" legioss/tread combined. All my Sentinel legioss are in armo soldier mode, so that alone will get me to rethink things.

IN this hobby, I don't count on something until a PO comes out. Sentinel has surprised me by actually giving us Houquet, but I'm not going to start moving things around in anticipation of a tread until I see a PO.

I would expect some color differences at a minimum (like the missile covers being a different color rather than the same as the main body).
-
I will consider it, but like others here I have the Yamato. What I hope *doesn't* happen is Arcadia gets theirs out first, nobody buys it, and Bandai says "Well, let's not bother with our HMR version."
-
I have things organized awaiting Houquet. I have to do some reorganizing if they really do a tread.

Sometimes I also check their ebay store, since the same item can be listed with "free shipping" (i.e., shipping already in the price). Been able to get a few deals that way.

The changing passwords thing is key, since I had the same password since I joined in 2008. Which was....um, awhile ago.
