I paid mine so fast my wallet caught on fire.
-
I've never had an issue with AE not delivering (and it looks like they even underestimated their TV super parts since a few people are reporting that their April delivery orders are being delivered now). I think the key thing is the timing of this launch.
-
No one for each mode this time?
-
Just picked a VF-1D up at A-E for 27800. http://www.anime-export.com/product/50449
-
I just got notice from AE as well, so they are getting to them.
-
Yep, I already got mine from Luna Park. I had the shipping info received for a couple of days but then DHL got it moving.
-
I can check when they email me on mine- I'm not sending until Jan, but can get a quote if someone else hasn't yet.
-
My guess is there will be a second round later, like with the DYRL strike parts.
-
And you are already aware of this since I told you to hold on to sending things to me until January.
-
And the angles of the armor are slightly different as well, especially the arm armor. The arm pieces are more hex-ended and straight across in DYRL instead of angled on the SDFM. Using @jenius's images, here's the DYRL and SDFM arm pieces:

Nothing on the Tv supers from AE yet, but I'm having them hold on to them until next month anyway because: 1) The zeta legioss is hopefully still on track to release so I can have my missiles, supers, and legioss all ship at one time; and 2) It's my wife's birthday today and I'm trying to avoid things for me showing up during her birthday month. She already had to see me get all excited for my Roy. lol

Adding on to this, one way to help on PO night is sharing where you got successful or (more often) where there is no success to be had because they are already out. The TWEs make it a bit harder, because the proxies and shops are more limited than on regular releases, but the TWEs also *generally* are easier to get. With the VF-1D, I'm thinking this might not be the case like earlier TWEs (I could find Kakizaki available on places like AE fairly easily the morning after PO night). I just think there is going to be more of a demand for the 1D, so I'm not counting on it being as easy. But maybe I'm just jaded from how difficult Focker night was.

We're switching from gutter to drain.

To have this post: Then have this post: And now I'm here with @mantisfists sitting in the gutter.

Yep- just went where I wanted and used the snipping tool to grab.
-
I just had to remember which episode I wanted to grab from and did a quick search for it. This one was "Countdown" so I could pull that up in youtube, amazon, etc.
-
OK, was able to grab a gif of just the scene but might be too big to upload. EDIT: it is too big, but clicking that link will take you to it. https://kapwi.ng/c/ussb6MdC

So this grab makes it look like it is open, even though you can't see the turbine, since it is in shadow, whereas Roy's battroid is clearly closed. OTOH, as Hikaru is crashing through buildings, this looks fully closed: But when Roy comes in, the intake covers actually pop up after he goes to battroid:
-
I have to rewatch but I'm 95% sure that intake covers close up only in Battroid mode.
-
But if you collect 1/72 scale planes, the Kitzconcepts in 1/72 might work best. Plus there aren't a bunch to get caught up in.
-
If you don't have much to spend, don't get started on the HMRs. You'll have even less to spend... ...on rent. ...on food.
-
Any updates on the Sentinel Zeta release? The Eta was on time, so I'm curious if we are still on track for January.

Awesome. This at least gives me an idea of when it will be slipping into my AE private warehouse.

The DX toys are large and well-made, perfect transformation, etc. HMR toys, due to the smaller size and cost point, have some sacrifices, like swapping out the heatshield for the cockpit glass and the lack of integral landing gear (which are pop-in pieces instead). But the HMRs are decent quality for their size, unlike the Toynami 1/100 garbage that falls apart when you just look at it. The stars of the HMR line are the destroids and enemy mechs more than the VFs. The Monster is BEAUTIFUL. Given I didn't want to collect a different scale (since I already had 1/48, 1/55, and 1/60 toys), I hesitated on getting into HMR. I told myself I'd *only* get the Monster. It was so incredible that I had to get a Defender and Spartan to go with it. And a Glaug. And some Regults. I finally bit the bullet and got the Messer Memorial Vf-1S because at least it was a different color scheme from everything else I had. Next thing I knew I went from this: to this: to finally this:

I lolled.
