  1. What do the Robotech LAM and Flat Earth Theory have in common? True believers who can't be convinced otherwise
  2. Are you saying that Live Action Movie is just lies? Sorry, I couldn't keep a straight face saying that.
  3. Oh, I know for sure. I never got the Macross saga version because I felt I had most of that stuff covered already in Perfect Memory and a few other sources. I will say that I only spent like $30 on this and it is a hardcover, so I'm not complaining too much. I spent more than that when shipping was factored in to get the newer Mospeada mook for essentially the few pages of Genesis Breakers stuff.
  4. They do a page they say is "previously unpublished" (but I'm not so sure about that) of the Auroran transformation sequences. But that's probably the most love it gets.
  5. Here's a few quick shots from the book taken with my phone quickly, but if someone wanted to look at things more specifically, I can scan something. My copy of the Imai files doesn't have the details on these two factions, but I'm sure someone else's does: Most of the army groupings have a page similar to this: In terms of my issues with the presentation of the bioroids, first they note the blue "soldier" bioroid: On the next page, no explanation at all, they show this later stage bioroid: Similarly, they have the green "sub-commander" but have Seifrit's ted "commander" on the page opposite: But then separately list the red "commander" bioroid: They then display the "armored/invid fighter": The book then goes into the hoversled, the Zor/Tyrolian ships (transport, cruiser, mothership, dropship) and then suddenly goes back to "miscellaneous mecha" and starts popping out more bioroids: The organization is just all over the place.
  6. I grabbed a copy and it contained some of the Imai Files stuff reproduced (crediting Robert Harkavy). I'm taking a quick look through again since I inly flipped through (my current bathroom reading being Sandy Petersen's 5E Cthulhu Mythos adaption book). Some of the things I hoped they might have dug out more info on (like the fleet ships) was lacking. They also did some bizarre things with the bioroids instead of listing them in early/mid/later. I'll take some shots and post them up to show what I mean in a bit.
  7. The MEPTOYS ones are going to be finished products (painted and all). COVID pushed the release of the scout/Iigaa and so apparently MEP is waiting to build and release the ligaa, shocktrooper/gurab, and the hellcat inorganic at the same time. Cap's stuff is DIY models which look fantastic but beyond my ability to make look that fantastic.
  8. Got a notice on this: https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/162832 While I don't want this particular item, this might bode well for Macross goodies being available in the US beyond just the series themselves.
  9. I'll probably end up with both.
  10. Love that low-vis. Mine was pretty solid as well!
  11. Luna Park shipped my Roy pretty quickly and it had a bigger issue with getting stuck in HK customs than anything that was LP's fault. Still got here pretty fast.
  12. Ha- I was a proponent for keeping things as they were but am willing to give this a shot a little longer before I move to "told ya" status.
  13. We're trying something new and organized to see how it works.
  14. FromJapan I only use to buy auction stuff now and don't even try TWEs anymore. Granted, I haven't tried with this one since I'm going for the combo sets. But FJ has been too difficult to get TWEs the past few goes.
  15. It will likely be cheaper at a few sites on PO day, but availability that day at retail becomes part of the fun. Sometimes it is nice to just pay the markup and not worry. I've used Luna Park before and they delivered fine.
  16. More retailers will open up, plus you can order through proxies to the p-Bandai site itself. AE can usually get the TWE items and I don't think they've popped up yet.
  17. Yes, they ship to the US. Options are limited to more expensive options currently, since Japan Post has limited shipping options, so expect to pay $40-60 shipping. OTOH, you'll get it really quick with options like DHL.
  18. The combo will likely be at additional sites, since it appears they are doing the armor-only as a Tamashii Web Exclusive (so the larger places may be less likely to have them). So for the combo set, you'll see a lot more places open up like HLJ. OTOH, the TWE stuff usually seems a bit easier to get up front for retail or near-retail, whereas the general release stuff can get hammered by scalpers pretty quickly. The key thing for PO night for the combos: keep an eye out for sites here, be prepared to share any sites you find that have availability, and prepare to be frustrated when you think you've purchased but get to the payment screen and they are unavailable.
  19. We cannot use this picture for evidence. It is clearly a picture of Ricardo Sanchez, Spanish ace.
