Just an observation here, but from the looks of it, it's safe to say that most of us really enjoyed Macross Zero and it somewhat rushed ending. I for one am glad that I wasn't disappointed. Hehe, Kawamori Macross wins again! Yeah, that didn't quite seem right, especially when Shin put his hand over Roy's. But then, both of their women were wisked away by the baddies so, they needed support, especially Shin since he is nowhere near the womanizer Roy is. Either way, that kinda struck me as "Uhh...getting a lil' physical eh Focker?

We only ever really see Christmas being celebrated in Macross since it deals with tender feelings unlike Haloween which deals with candy.

Man, I'm thinking there could be a "semi-sequel" to Macross Zero since the events in Macross Zero were classified for 50 years, so 50 years later, the information can be divulged and set things up. Who knows, maybe we'll get an Aegis Focker in the new series if there ever is one. Either way, the Protoculture has technology that surpasses the UN's. Look at the AFOS's Macross cannon-style weapon, that thing can sustain fire, the SDF-1's and Battle 7's couldn't. Well, let's wait, maybe 5 years from now we'll get a new Macross, I'm hoping for something after 7 so we can get a bunch of CGI cel shaded Valkyries.

Flying sub and aircraft carriers?! When does this happen, is there a picture. At one point in ep # 5, Anti-Grav generators are shown (similar to the ones in the SDF-1). I think these are in the Asuka, which could explain why and how it is flying. Presumably the Anti-UN submarine also has anti-grav generators as well? Not sure why the Aegis cruiser is also flying tho, perhaps it all is magic? Anyway, I agree that the begining is very rushed, but the dog fight scenes are excelent, although it is a shame that Roy or Shin are not the ones to kill DD and Nora. I liked how there was a practical use for the Destroid Monsters claws, after all the speculating on MW about why it had claws and how impractical they were. Graham You want Shin to take out Nora?!?!?!?! Shin is an ass! I'm GLAD he didn't get Nora! As for Roy taking out DD it would have been great, but in the end it was better that DD went off on his own Anti-UN and UN be damned. And I don't think the Auserdat had any anti-grav generateors because those sub personel seemed to be freaking out that they were surfacing without wanting to. And I doubt the ASKA had the same thing as well. It's all Anima Spiritia so it may as well be magic in Macross Zero's time era!

In other words, not a nuke, but just as powerful as one without EMP right??

What I also liked about the action is that you see some good ol' regular planes in the battle. The Anti-UN seemed to use Sea Flankers to replace some of its irreplaceable SV-51s. You see it shoot down a Ghost and then I think it was Shin who shot it down with a couple of micromissiles.

God, the lobster claw still bugs me since the claw design looks so obviously like an last minute add on, since it doesn't blend at all with the original design. I'm thinking a more cost effective method of keeping it on the carrier would have been arresting cables or something, rather than design and manufacture a bigass claw and figure out how to incorporate it into an existing design. That lobster claw was a joke dude.

Spiritia was only called Spiritia in Macross 7 and from that, we can simply say floating rocks and ships are due to Anima Spiritia and all sorts of "nonsense" that only us Macross fans understand. I just spent about an hour explaining to my friend who's a hardcore Gundam fan about why some things happened in Macross Zero.

The only gripe I have with it right now is that it felt rushed. When you think about it, the timespan of the series felt short. The last 3 episodes took place across 2-3 days, max. That just didn't feel right. But I'll look it over again once a sub comes out (sorry, I really want to know what Hasford and AFOS were saying to Sara). I want to know what they're ALL saying. Although it's quite obvious that Aries told Roy she loved him as she died, cliched don't you all think? And I'm really interested in DD's dialouge after Nora died and then how Mao reaches out to Shin as he's plummeting towards the sea in the end.

Well, Shin did pick up a PCS signal when he was approaching the Auserdat. I see a few things that tie in to what we see in SDF Macross and DYRL? which is all pretty good, such as the Macross cannon-style gun of the AFOS, the Omni Directional Barrier, just some technological stuff, but still nice. I think Nora's and DD's deaths are among the best in Macross ever.

Ah, well, so far, it's pretty good, but not that great, definitely rushed. Roy getting all soft, well, I think we can say that he's really sad most of the times he's sober. I like the fact that Shin didn't get Nora, she was too good for him. But the Macross-cannon style death was awesome, I think it did her justice. Man, I was surprised at how much DD loved her when he went all berserk. DD died a pretty gruesome death, the badies went out nicely. Damn it, I would have like 40 minutes with like 30 seconds of credits.

Man, the one I downloaded is Real Media, I hate Real Player. I'm updating right now because I hardly use the damn thing so I'm behind in upgrades.

Aries dies from blood lost and probably internal bleeding. She received those injuries when she protected Dr. Hassford from falling debris. As for a synopsis, I'll wait for a sub to come. There is some dialogue which I can't really make out, but it's all to make Sara use AFOS. Do we see Roy by Aries's side as she dies? I'd like to see an emotional Focker....or do I and all of us really want to see a softy?

I'm pretty sure Sara and Shin fly off into space in a Spiritia bubble as seen in the 4th ep when the bubble saves them from plummeting to their deaths.
