Well, I don't think I'll be going to Hong Kong until the summer or probably next winter in 2009. Just gotta wait, although maybe I'll just get my GF to buy the real set and she probably will do it and call me a geek at the same time and that's when I take her and....

This was a good movie, I remember watching it with my cousin in her house one day, it was funny also from what I remember when Mansely forces the bathroom door open on Hogarth while he's sitting on the can.

Well, the thing is sometimes they actually have the real product, but they are sold a very low prices, one of my coworkers wandered over to the Golden Arcade and bought a lot of real region 1 PS2 games complete with the real manual and anti-theft tape. I'm sure tracking down an original blu-ray wouldn't be a problem. I'll have to wait and see, I got some big budget items coming this year ranging from a car, 40+ inch LCD and a PS3 when I get back to JP. Not to mention the 1/60 M+ Valks...

I hope they do, it's only a matter of time don't you think?

I was quite shocked you know because it was something totally out of the blue. From what I read in earlier posts, quite a few people were shocked. Gods, I'm still wondering if I should throw away part of my paycheck to buy a copy of Shadow Farce, but I always shy away and think about buying Carrier, but I shy away from that too...oh well, looks like I'll just wait till I go to Hong Kong and buy it there for a buck and hopefully Region 0 Macross F Blu-Ray set for like 50 or whatever they wanna charge.

Man, get the compilation from the last ep, cut out all the dialogue, leave some of the explosions in it, and I'll buy the son'bitch! I can't wait to get back to Japan next month so I can take a walk around Towers and HMV in Shibuya in search of the coming OST and the oh-so elusive M+ For Fans Only. I let that album slip through my fingers because I decided to come back the next payday. Damn!

HUH?! WHAT THE HELL?! HOLY CRAP!! I DIDN'T THINK I WAS OUT OF SYNC WITH THE REST OF YOU FOR THAT LONG! DAMN! BEING UNDERWAY SUCKS EVEN MORE! DECULTURE!!!! ...............I just took a gander at what IGN had to say and the screenwriter for two of the greatest movies ever will pen this...thing? God, I saw a few blasphemous posts about SK doing the mecha designs. I'm with the rest of you that say "F--- that!" Live action Macross would be something nice...but think about how the G Savior came out, I didn't watch because I got the verdict beforehand. A wannabe LA Macross coming and another one of my favorites, a LA GitS headed by Dreamworks and Spielberg...first they ruined Street Fighter, Mario Bros, Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil...now they're gonna go ahead and ruin our favorite anime franchises...at least Transformers was good. I'm happy with Macross the way it is, I have my idea for some of the actors, but overall...no. I think about it now, yes...but deep down inside it is a big ass "NO!" God, the talk about "smart" just doesn't go well with Homotech/Robojunk/Robocrap...damn you don't have to think about the damn story. They're fighting for the petro of the future damn it! An analogy of today's world depending on who you ask! As for it probably opening doors for possible US releases of Zero and 7 would be nice...but...that's only if they credit the original concept to SK and gang...which probably won't happen because I don't recall their names appearing in HG's abomination. Well...that's all I can say, I had to go iron something to clear my mind of the shock of this relatively new news. Alright, back to watching the bad assery of ep 25 of Frontier and hope to have dreams of my gf in Sheryl's guise like I did earlier today.

Have you checked that official website of HG? I think you'll get better confirmation unless you mean the Shadow Chronicles which are out already. Is it going to be live action or another "anime" to revive the corpse?

What is this thing? Nobody addressed my question from earlier and I don't know if any theories were put forth already. It's a little blurry, but it definitely looks something like a Birdhuman head from M0.

Yeah rouge Zentraedi, the Mardook ships definitely looked like something else. Remember that Zentraedi don't know how to repair or even upgrade their ships and that their designs have remained static for thousands of years. That's what made it weak, recycling that same plot device that worked in the last one for something with a completely different situation. Considering the advancements in technology, I'm sure that such an attack isn't needed anymore, I mean look at that Macross Cannon ship, that monster plus all those "advanced" VF designs are more than enough for any other ships, I can understand colony fleets, but nobody knows about the colonization programs in that parallel universe. And as Togo said as well, plot was silly and characters lame, hell, I didn't care for any of the characters in that. I had more affection for Physica in 7 than I did for Hibiki, Nexx, Ishtar, and the others' who's names escape me.

I have see all of them but II was just so weak, I tried to watch it with interest and I nearly fell asleep. After the first viewing I couldn't endure watching it a second time again and got rid of it and I wouldn't have it just for the sake of collecting it. The same plot devices from DYRL? that were used in it were just super recycled and we got a whiny hero in Hibiki, you can't tell me that using the Minmay Attack 80 years after SWI against a foe that is not Zentraedi seem kind of flawed to you? At least the people on Macross 7 had the right idea to attack conventionally and then adopt Minmay Attack-like tactics when they discovered what the Protodevlin were. Worst yet was what they did to the SDF-1, how can you just discard humanity's ark aside like that and then have it blown away? 80 years is too large of gap on top of that too. At least with the other series the scriptwriter had SK next to him for some guidance and not just take the "initiative" and make some trashy series, good thing Macross hasn't turned into what Gundam has become after Tomino left. We'd probably have the same amount of Gundam series as we do Macross if Tomino stayed onboard and didn't let anybody meddle with his creation. That's all my opinion though. Don't take offense at my opinion of trashy II. I've danced this dance before with one of my buddies.

Oh yeah, I don't know if it's been mentioned yet since I don't wanna go through all those pages, but what do you guys supposed that thing is that Brera saw after he got out of the VF-27? It looks Birdman-ish. Hmm...where did this talk of a movie come from? I'm interested and I keep listening closely to the Vajra to see if that sounds anything like Mari Ijima. Well after watching it one more time, I heard them screaming as they took the beam hit from the Super Queen.

Smoking hot! I wish they released the fansubs earlier, but for now, the animation quality was top notch, I wish they killed Leon and I wish we got to see Grace go out like Bodolza from DYRL? One thing that kicked ass too was the music, damn it was some of the best ever in Macross lore. I liked how they showed the SDF-1, although I would have preferred that they showed City 7. Haha. Minmay made an appearance in a ring, which was something I think would have been left out seeing how Bilrer doesn't appear much or say much. Anyways, all we have to wait for now is the next Macross with more mech porn. EDIT: Also, about damn time they showed the Koenig Monster in Destroid mode! It took get its leg blown off for it to happen!

Well, all of them have their merits, except for Macross II, not to much genius behind that series.

SV-51, it looks kinda like the Birdhuman with the flapping wings and all in Battroid mode.

Yeah, definitely, I found a few VF-1s with the special decal set of the Black Aces or some squadron that I'm sure use to be around flying F-14s a long time ago. I found a few VF-22s and original M+ edition of the YF-19 and the Armored VF-0, I come back the next day and they're gone. The one I'd buy on the spot is DDs SV-51, all I can find is Nora's and those are always in stock. Last time I went to one Bandai has started throwing out chunky monkeys on the market and they cost almost the same a Yammy 1/60 VF-1. All I know is when the YF-21 and VF-11 come out in 1/60, I'm gonna buy them s.o.bs. together with the YF-19.

Oh man! I wish I found these when I went to Hawaii this summer! Fudge it all! But I live in Japan, so I understand how some of you feel, gods! I can swipe my card to pick up a complete VF-0 and YF-19, but I must resist! Sad thing is I just have to walk 10 minutes into a Marui where the Yellow Sub is or 15 to get to the iBox! My gf always laughs at me when she sees me holding and staring down the boxes of VFs as if they were her.

That's true! I'm in a Super Hornet squadron and at FRAMP as these guys like to call it, the instructors go on and on about the F-14, it looks bad ass, but it's a bitch to do the maintenance on it, especially now with IETMs to help the maintenance process go along smoother on Super Hornets. I don't know about you guys, but the VF-0 just looks way more contemporary to me than the VF-1, the VF-1 just suffers from bad animation, the VF-0 is a taste of what a VF-1 might look like in today's standards. If you look on the compendium it says it was a developmental design that was pushed into service, hence their limited numbers too because I imagine those cost a helluva lot more with all the experimental technology they put inside there and equipment they've adapted for it like the Ghosts. The 0 is one of my favorite designs ever because it looks like it really does exist in this world IMO.

Well, I'm curious about that too...but...something tells me they're not gonna touch upon it and just leave it at that, we'll probably get an explanation outside of the series, kinda like what happened with the Megaroad or something like that. Part of me is hoping that Shin and Sarah somehow show up in this because all these Macross Zero references really pique my interest, I really liked Zero too, they just ruined the last episode. I gotta check up on the release dates for the second ost because all of these oldies they're remaking are great. I hope Alto dies, and I hope he doesn't die so he can kill Ranka, but of course, this Macross isn't really dark at all. I'm waiting to see what SMS is going to do, in what dire straits they'll find the Frontier fleet in once they mobilize. I'm glad Klan didn't die, I really like her voluptuous body even though I don't say much in those fanart threads, hehe. My favorite line in that episode was "Sagittarius One hit!" That scene made my jaw drop in shock and surprise, what could have happened to Isamu happened to him. LOL! We need episode 25 now dammit!!!!

OMG! Absolutely shocking! No Macross ever did something like that! I like the homage to Macross Plus in that episode too, especially when Alto Man, I hope this series goes on for at least 3 more eps and a max of 4 because they have a lot of 'splainin' to do like some other members already posted. Besides the appearance of several NMC ships, I was surprised their defensive fleet was as large as it is because I surely didn't show them having a force that size.

Gods, can't wait to get my house so I can raid the Yellow Submarines and Iboxes for the 1/60 M+ Valks and VF-1s and 0s!!! My girlfriend will laugh at my otaku hobbies even more!

Well, I would like them to go and turn VF-X 2 into an anime since it has some potential as far as the story goes, but I'd like to see a civil war or a small conflict against a group of Zentraedi like they showed in F with Tamjin.

This episode was great, I really liked what Alto said as he came to realize that if Rank is the one who is going to doom Frontier, then he will kill her in order to save everybody and I'm glad he ended up with Sheryl. At least Sheryl won't die, not yet at least because she was fine before she started taking those pills way back before she went to Galia 4. What I want to know is if Ranka's mother was assimilated or transformed in the queen because back in episode 14 when she was in the mothership, that tentacle/probe attached to the little pod and she had a flash of her mother singing and later she witnessed the entire battle from their collective thoughts. When she feels pain when a lot of Vajra are being offed might confirm it besides being the Little Queen who was infected during conception. I can't wait to see the next episode and I really want to know who buys the farm.
