  1. I really wanted a VE-1 and VT-1 but I had to resist and buy Nora's SV-51 for 50% off, who could resist? I saw the review and it seems alright to pay 10000 yen for it rather than the 20200 at the shop I got my VF-11 and YF-19 at and even the regular price at OD and HLJ. I I'll get them next week possibly after I get paid. God, This month I tallied up 4 VF-1s from HLJ, two of the M&M 1Js, DYRL Hikaru 1A w/SS parts, and Kakizaki DYRL 1A. Then I got a Max DYRL 1A from OD, and I went ahead and bought a VF-11B and YF-19 from the local shop. Now I got an SV-51 and still awaiting the Armored 1J set to be released(if it comes out this month). 8 when I get the SV-51 this Saturday or next monday. Damn!!! I just need the YF-21, Max 1S, VE, VT-1, maybe a Virgin Road and regular Focker VF-1S, TV Max and Kakizaki to complete Vermillion Team and MM 22Ses...yes...oh, and DDs SV-51 and VF-0S and A if I can find them for good prices....and Ghost booster sets for them...damn it!!!!!!!!
  2. Decided to order Nora SV-51 and 3 more mighty block stands for my Skull Squadron. Should be here tomorrow if HLJ sends them. Who could resist 50% off of Nora's death machine?!
  3. I ordered 3 more Mighty Block stands from HLJ along with Nora's SV-51, I wanna try to flexi stands for my larger Valks, I wanna use the Mighty Block stands to display my Skull squadron Valks as once piece. I'm gonna try my VF-11 and 22 and 19 out on them to see how good they are since those are larger than a VF-1.
  4. My Hikaru VF-1S was pretty tight when it came to the swing bar in battroid mode. I was a little worried when taking it out of battroid mode for the first time since it was so tight in the nose. I haven't noticed much difference in the knees of mine, but I don't transform them that often either.
  5. Well I went online to HLJ and while ordering stuff I picked up a Yamato Mighty Block series stand and it's pretty good, it's designed with the 1/60 Valks in mind. So far I've only put my Hikaru DYRL Strike 1S on display and it's sturdy. I plan on ordering more I think so I can connect them together.
  6. The entire VF-11 hands down.
  7. 5 pages? Graham, this thing is an abominable 9 pages thanks to the great HLJ year-end sale. Anyways, my SS parts and DYRL Max IA came in along with my HLJ order of MM Super 1Js. Woohoo! Now I just gotta wait for my Hikaru DYRL 1A w/SS and Kakizaki and stand and then I think I'll be good for now...now, I have to ask my wife to get me either a DD -51 or perhaps a YF-21 or perhaps a VE or VT-1...
  8. Max DYRL 1A and two SS Packs on the way! Woohoo! So sad that my Xmas tree has nothing under it.
  9. 1JMM shipped finally! w00t! Now gotta wait for the rest of my stuff, better get here on Friday so I can tinker with them and hopefully Saturday. Now, I have to allocate more room to accommodate Focker's DYRL? Skull Squadron. Next on my list will be Max's VF-1S and I'll have all three versions of Skull Squadron and then I'll order the Elintseeker and Super Ostrich and perhaps a regular Focker 1S to complete my DYRL collection. Then I'll complete my SDFM TV collection and Plus and sometime later my M0 collection.
  10. Modern day weapons would be greatly appreciated, reaction missiles, missile pods and the TER of missiles gets kinda stale after a while. They would look really great on the VF-0 IMO since the VF-0D had AMRAAMs on the wing tips.
  11. Thanks for the pic, I guess I'll go with a pencil, I got a .7mm pencil so that won't do at all, looks like I'll order one from HLJ since I won't have time to drive to a shop and get one.
  12. Well since today was payday and I couldn't resist any more and I went ahead and bought the Hikaru VF-1A with Strike/Super Armor from HLJ and Kakizaki's DYRL? Valk from HLJ, I would have gotten Max's DYRL 1A, but it wasn't on sale so I hopped on over to OD and ordered it for cheaper and with 2 SS packs since HLJ didn't have them. Luckily the wife said it's ok if I buy 'em. I also ordered a Yamato stand from HLJ to give it a try. I hope HLJ is quick about it, hopefully my MM 1Js ship out tomorrow.
  13. Yeah, however price slashing is not too common and in my years over here, I've never seen a solid flat rate price on anything at video and game stores or even music stores so I still firmly believe in anything like an MSRP. And the only sales I have seen that were great deals were at clothing and shoe stores after New Years and clothes going out of business. I bought my VF-11 at the time of a "sale" but I believe they just forgot to take the signs down...but the VF-11 was worth 17770JPY.
  14. I wished I waited for my VF-111, but it's a good toy for that price out of all the 1/60 M+ line.
  15. A regular graphite pencil works well and won't smudge if you handle your Valks? What size is recommended, because I got a mechanical pencil in my desk drawer right now. I would really like to see some work done with Gundam markers though.
  16. Well, I know this topic has come up before because I remember seeing it a long time ago. Anyways, I wanna add some detail to the panel lines on my Yamato Valks. So how good are the Gundam markers at making panel lines without smudging or anything? I'm not a pro-customizer, last model kit I built was a partially completed VF-1 and VF-0, and that was many years ago. Hopefully I can see some examples that any of you might have done.
  17. I live in Japan so I don't get murdered by shipping in the least. Another note: there isn't an MSRP in Japan because the shop I go to has different prices compared to two other shops I've been to. It kills me that the YF-21 and all three versions of the SV-51 are priced the same. However the -21 is cheaper than HLJ's regular price and about 15 bucks more than OD. The SV-51 is cheaper on HLJ and OD by all means. Shopping around in Japan is tough because some of these places are out of the way and hidden it seems, especially if you aren't in Akihabara.
  18. Agreed, but I got mine in Hong Kong, but I went there on the government's nice cruise ships where I burn to death and then freeze to death in an effort to load boom boom on jets that go zoom zoom. My last visit to Hong Kong is where I decided to start collecting "again" because I just got paid and I figured I should indulge, all the other times I just drank and ate and looked at nice things and sometimes buy some minor accessories, but not this time. My acquired Valks from there are: VF-22S Gamlin 999HK$=$128.88USD 1/60 VF-1S Hikaru DYRL 399HK$=$51.47USD 1/60 VF-1S Los vis 620HK$=$80.00USD DX VF-25S armored 1198HK$=$154.56USD Rule of thumb is to talk the vendor down if you buy a lot at once. Luckily I could talk the guy down for the low vis by a few bucks. Then I had it shipped home for free. I believe everybody would say I got away with a steal for a "first time" collector. Now I get great deals and shipping times ordering from HLJ and OD and just driving down to the hobby shop that has a vast collection of Macross toys.
  19. Well I opened it with Preview (I own a Mac) and I flipped it to the right and then I flipped it back vertically and save the pictures under a different directory and it's still the same.
  20. Damn it, is there no way I can display these pics vertically on MW?
  21. Two thirds of my Macross Plus collection, hopefully I can get a YF-21 sometime this month. Took a little effort trying to find the sweet spot for the YF-19. The 11 is truly outstanding.
  22. Sweet pics, thanks. BTW, you don't need to use the adapters that come with the Valk anymore right?
  23. Well I haven't had a problem yet, I just don't like how their website says "Buy Now" on a item that is still weeks away from being released, in my case the VF-1J GPB-1S. Other than that, I got my VF-25F SP Movie version in no time at all, but I guess that's due to my proximity to them. Well, after deciding to go with a YF-19 Eagle and buy it yesterday when I went to the good ol' hobby shop I had to settle for the Fold Booster and FPs on Amazon for a somewhat higher price after shipping, but it can't be helped since Yamato seems to have discontinued its production, hopefully before Xmas I should get them.
  24. How good are the flexi-stands for displaying Gerwalk and Battroid modes?
  25. Well, as I've come to learn, Yamato's stands are discontinued so I wonder what stands and from where do you guys get them to display your Yamato 1/60 line up. I the best I seem to find when I go to the hobby shop and online shops are those Action Base stands from Bandai, but I'm sure they're not. Any suggestions??
