I'm still afraid to transform my one and only one.
-
THat's what I want to know too. It should only be for the innards like in the VF-1 and YF-21/VF-22 anything major on the exterior ruins the overall look if combined with ABS as with the 25.
-
That's why I'm saying not to get it, better off getting a Yamato. And I'm not the only one on these boards who reported floppiness and bad tampo printing. In a few years I'm sure Yamato will wrangle the rights to 1/60 Macross Frontier Valks and make them work.

Well if I recall, Michel had them in the form of speakers, what else, oh yeah, in that first ep, Gilliam or whatever launched missiles at the Vaj inside the colony from somewhere because it sure doesn't seem like they have internal stores. You can't even attach the gun without attaching extra stuff or having the head stick out properly with said extra stuff. That's lousy design not to mention floppy headlasers that can come off easily. And if you look under the wings of the toy you will see what appears to be positions for pylons on it. The toy may have a lot of die-cast but you can tell the paint's a little off in fighter mode compared to the plastic parts. And the fact that it doesn't come equipped with removable pilot or detailed cockpit kinda is off considering how the 25 can convert to a two seater in a flash. Ranka has flown in GIB position before and lack of detail in the stuck on figure is kinda lame. At least Yamato added a two seater option to the YF-19 for the Yang figure. Scratched paint on aircraft does not merit battle damage, it's called corrosion, trust me, I work Super Hornets. I actually prefer low die-cast content, it turned up the excellent VF-11, lightweight and will not lose balance easily. That's what I found was wrong with the 25s, especially the Armored Ozma since it wouldn't keep up right unless you propped it up with the stand or against something. The Gerwalk mode was jacked up looking in that it couldn't stand up right in the way the Yamatoes do. Bottom line, DX sucks and Yamato is the unrivaled Valk maker, and I never got knurled pins either.

Don't do it! They're lousy pieces of floppy trash with easily scratched tampo and no removal pilot or detailed cockpit and no wing stores. Probably because Bandai has such a presence in the toy/game business is why they cost what they cost. Yamato stuff is relatively small in hobby shops in Japan whereas you drown in Bandai merchandise.

Don't buy any of the DX toys, they suck. I left my VF-25F and S in fighter mode and put them on display, they're not good for anything else.
-
Battroid mode is definitely a nice mode to keep it in, mine has been in Battroid since I first got it out of the box. The only Valks I seem to transform are the VF-1s.
-
It's very nice, one of my favorites next to the Super Ostrich. Best VF-1 variant. I equipped mine with micromissiles and Reaction missiles for deep strike missions.

They don't need to make a v3 VF-1 because all of my VF-1s are fine, not knurled pins or anything. My 1/60 GPB-1S set was perfect and so was my VE-1 and VT-1. What Yamato needs to do is make a v2 YF-19 series that corrects flaws with the current line.

Well, after I got done with work on Saturday morning I went to sleep with my daughter and my wife being the good wife that she is accepted my VF-1J GPB-1S order that OD f'ed up, she's not mad at OD anymore since they were so quick to respond to our complaints. I'm in the process of panel lining it with my mechanical pencil before I dress it up with the armor. I'm pleased to say that it doesn't have the knurled pins, after all the posts regarding the initial release of it I blinked twice when I thought I saw knurled pins, but it turned out to be a false scare. LOL. Reminds of the other day at work where one of my workers thought he lost his flashlight in the middle of our jets taking off for trans-Pac.

Well I got my stuff from HLJ before their sale was over so I'm happy to say that my DYRL collection is complete and I can finally use my Mighty Block stands as I had planned with the partially completed order from OD. As for my GPB-1S set, I contacted OD through e-mail and had my wife give them a call while I was at work and they said they will correct their mistake so last night the shipping company came to pick it up and OD should be sending me the correct item soon I hope. Plus their staff seems to be rude because the guy on the other side didn't apologize to her for the mistake. That sent her on a rampage.
-
Well I finally got my box from OD and it's hoseshit that they sent me the wrong item. They sent me a damned Super Hikaru 1J instead of the armored that I ordered. As if I didn't have to wait long enough for the actual release of the order, now they sent it and it's the wrong fartin thing. Now I have to call those idiots. At least they got the other part of my order right and I can complete my DYRL Super VF-1 Skull Squad.
-
Well I finally got my order from OD on the way. I had to message them once more. I can finally complete my DYRL Skull Squadron. Can't wait to get my last orders from HLJ.
-
Don't transform it, I got my CF0A and D-A Ghost and haven't transformed it, I just mated the booster and weapons and that's it.
-
Well in the last minute before the sale at HLJ ended, I went ahead and purchased three Valks, Max 1A blueman, and the VT-1 and VE-1. I wish I decided earlier on the YF-21 rather than buying it at the store. Glad to see that the yen rate is climbing past 90, even though it's not quite at 100 to the $. And I'm still waiting on the GPB-1S. Then I'll order a Kakizaki brown VF-1A and I should finish up my SDFM TV collection and I wish I bought the Max 1S when it was on sale too, at least I seized quite a bit during the sale. M&M 1Js, DYRL Kakizaki 1A, Nora SV-51, VF-1A Super Hikaru.
-
Haven't transformed mine yet, threw the booster on it and that's it. It's funny how they can fart away the 0 when it has the exact same transformation as the VF-1.
-
Still waiting on my 1J armored set.
-
I haven't given up on them yet since I have received two orders successfuly from them. It was Max DYRL 1A and movie version Alto VF-25F. I should keep hounding them about my order until they break.
-
Well I always check it and I check on OD itself and it still says "Pending". They responded to me within an hour after I messaged them last night and they told me their holiday stand down is reason for domestic delay. HLJ could still deliver their last VF-0A and a Ghost booster to me despite the holidays.
-
Got my 0A and D-A Ghost last night, luckily the shipping company was still working when I finally got home and a quick call and it was at my door in about an hour. w00t!!
-
Damn, seems like everybody is getting the GPB-1S set but me God damn it, and I live just a few miles away from them too. Time to e-mail them once more and ask them wtf the hold up is, I feel like I'm getting desperate.
-
A second run would be nice, maybe that's what Yamato may be working on? If so, maybe I'll hold off for the time being.
-
What the hell do they mean the Shin-type in 0 was an error?? Any difference in the paint job between a CF-0 and Shin-type? Or is it just the pilot figure? In that case I'll just buy some red paint. I got the D-A ghost, I like that paint scheme better than the D-B. Look the same if you ask me, or is there a difference beside the paint?
-
I wish OD would hurry the F- up and get some stock so they can ship my damned order that's been placed since November. I can't wait to panel line that baby up.
-
Well I got my VF-0A and I thought it was a Shin-type, buut just a CF. Was a Shin 0 ever released or just the CF and Focker 0???
