What's wrong with my Yamato, Bandai, etc.
Macross_Fanboy replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
My earlier post said whole leg. The thing about Yamato is that they have to check if they have spare parts so I was worried on both occasions(VF-0A and VF-1D) about the availability of the parts I needed. -

I did everything because it seems there was some sort of light adhesive applied to both halves, no flaking though. It's either adhesive or the managed to put a helluva lotta torque on the legs. The trickiest thing would be the landing gear bay assembly, I made sure I didn't separate it too much or else the bay, doors and everything that holds it in place will fall out. You can try just removing the thigh screws but I found it very tight. -

It's actually a lot simpler on the inside than you would think. Don't worry. -

I think it may have arrived already, I'll be back home on Sunday since I'm in Hawaii right now. It was the right leg that was busted on mine. To take it off you pretty much have to take off all of the screws and dismantle it. -

I have two YF-19s, original M+ scheme and a DN and as far as I can tell, the DN is nice and tight and I didn't notice any annoying gaps in it when I first got it and it transforms and holds poses like a dream, I'm thinking of buying the re-issue coming out soon. The thing I like the most about the 19 is the ease of it's transformation unlike the YF-21/VF-22. Hopefully when I get home on Sunday my leg for my VF-1D has arrived. -

I was talking about the intake peg in my post. Yamato's customer service changed times and days of service so now i have to wait till Monday damn it. I hope they can replace it because I don't want to put up with this issue since it's the one VF-1 I've been wanting for a while. -

Don't worry, mine was old stock that I took a chance on just this past X-mas, now I got a problem with the VF-1D I got in the mail from HLJ. I was putting it through its paces. When trying to transform it to Battroid mode the legs would not come off at the peg and when I eventually got it the peg came off and separated from one half of the intake as the intake began to split down the middle. I guess is muscle-farted it, but the other leg came loose as it normally would after the other split. Looks like it had to much tension or the mold for the peg was a bit to thick. I'm gonna give Yamato a call to see what they'll do about it. -
All Things Video Games Thread: II

I firmly believe Nintendo stole the show. The other two guys are trying, when I looked at Move it seemed to me like Sony was flailing or struggling if you will to try and do a one-up by showing up with something that's been done to death. I can't wait for the 3DS and I guess I'll buy a Wii when Golden Eye is released. I'm not a fanboy but damn Sony, you are weak. I wasn't sold by Kinect either, but at least it was an effort to revive what Sony had previously tried and possibly more successful. I own a 360 and PS3 and I only have 2 games worth a damn for PS3. One thing I wished Namco showed off Ace Combat 7 or came out with the announcement, HAWX is never gonna live up to Ace Combat in either story telling or graphics and gameplay. I got to spend a lot of money on games this year...my game library expands by one or 2 games a year, this year it's going to be many. -

Well, I finally got replacement arms for my CF-0A, took two days after finally making the phone call to them. Good thing I had my wife tell Yamato they exploded upon first transformation because Yamato was going to charge me about 2500 yen per arm, that:s plus shipping. Luckily they realized what the problem was I guess and sent them for free with a postage paid envelope to return to old explodium arms. Great customer service. It kind of felt like I was working on an aircraft and ordering parts for it in that I have to give the old, broken stuff to supply or I level maintenance before I could get a new one. -
I got mine and that VF-1 egg plane coming soon, too bad I bought the egg plane today on a stroll with my kid for 980yen instead of the 1100 or so from HLJ.

LOL! Well Shin was only 18, I'm sure he had to cut loose after so much time spent fighting war. Funny thing is I didn't see anybody as a hero in Zero now that I think about it, to me it's hero-less.

Where are they under? They:re not under option kits.
-
Oh, they got them in stock now? Nice, just the other day they still said sold out. Thanks.

Still looking for TV FAST Packs
-
Hot damn that's awsome!
-
Can't wait for mine to get here!
-
Yes it:'s the weekend here in Japan so they're not working, that sucks when you want something NOW, I don't think OD is like that. Either way, at least you can get your stuff delivered on the weekend.

Went ahead and snagged a VF-1D since that's the only 2 seater I need and after I get TV roy my TV valk collection will be complete Too bad the 22s haven't dropped more, but if the sale is still on for at least a few more days I'll snag both of them.

Son of a biznitch. Well, if I can pick up the ones I want and be good until Ranka VB-6 and VF-19 come out, w00t!

Awesome vid. The jets in my squadron survive lightning strikes to the canopy thanks to the materials. In the end you get delaminated canopies. Seen quite a few, funny thing is it's the cursed aircraft and the CO was in it almost all the time.
-
I'm glad I got mine before they all dried up. Got it right after I got out of the hospital and went on a spending spree. Just wish I didn't hesitate on the TV FPs, now they're all gone. Funny thing is that I didn't want to get the TV series Valks except for the 1J with the armor parts and then the addiction got to me and I said "EFF IT!" And now with the TV Roy coming out, it's even more of a collection.

Guilty Pleasure, for those of us who still "play" with our toy
Macross_Fanboy replied to DARKWIND's topic in Toys
When I take a VF-1 down to play with my daughter I prefer a high pitched humming of Macross and the occasional Loud "Macross" along with lyrics concerning a feature of my baby with the tune. All part of my plan to condition her to enjoy Macross so when I pass on, I know the Valks will be with a worthy heir. -
The thing about the 0S that makes it look cartoony to me is not the decals, my squadron's anniversary aircraft 102 was awesome to look at with all the red paint and viper on it, but the styling of the head and the fact that it looks more white than low viz grey like the 0A also. The Hasegawa kit says light gray, I'm not sure it's accurate on the toy though.
