Yeah getting cohesive info is quite difficult, this thread here has been the closest thing to a good source of news for the 3 metal framed 1/100 lines I'm aware of.- 8641 replies

The Gundam Fix Figuration Metal Composite series is more UC and Wing oriented. Compared to the Metal Builds I have, the paint work is more matt, they really feel like pre-assembled premium models, the label work is great. The frames are similar to Metal Build, very chunky weight to them. I recommend the Zaku I/II and Goof lines, they are extremely detailed and have very impressive articulation. The RX78 40th Anniversary is fun, as is the GM.

Tracking shows I'm getting the Kampfer later today or tomorrow. I have several late production GFFMCs which I love (RX-78s, Goufs and Zaku) and will see how they compare.

I picked up several of the the more recent GFFMCs, the Gouf, Zaku I, RG-79, and 40th anniversary 78. I was pretty impressed by those, in particular the Zaku and Gouf. The stands are quite an eyesore I agree, and the constant stream of crossbones and 00 is not my thing. I plan on picking up the Kampfer, and the Kshatriya. But I'd really like to see things like the GP01, MKII and more of the traditional stuff, I guess they're not gimmic-y enough.
