  1. It's not like we ever hear from that Shawn guy anyway
  2. I'm always skeptical about good news around this time of year... It's not April 1st somewhere is it?
  3. I think I see my old set of strike parts in that pile!
  4. Maybe they read that ridiculous "HLJ Pro-Scalper" thread regarding the VF-171 pre-orders and said screw it.
  5. No, it's open for $194.66. I've noticed then when I use IE browser the buttons are not clickable sometimes. But if I go to Firefox they work. In IE, if I log out of my account and back in, that tends to fix the issue.
  6. According to the email, Henry said "there IS an anticipated shortage"
  7. I have an order in for Hobbyfan too, but I wouldn't count on them. Especially considering the below response OzmaLee74 received. If your store is "expecting shortages" then close the friggin pre-orders. People pre-order because they want something. Not so they can be told later..."oops, we were shorted. Pre-Order cancelled, no item for you. Sorry" Especially if you are pretty sure that's going to happen ahead of time. You just don't play with people's emotions!
  8. lol...so much for "released after 16:00 japan time"
  9. I kind of followed your advice and let the weight of the legs pull them forward and it like you said, it just sort of happened! Can't say it was as satisfying as a successful date though I do appreciate your help. Thanks!
  10. To anyone that has both a 17S and a 17D. Are the hips easier to put into place on the 17S? Or is it just as challenging on both? I have on of each. I was going to leave the S in fighter and display the D in Battroid, but if the S is easier to transform I can easily switch that up.
  11. Sounds like a successful date then And I was just bitching to a co-worker how I have all these little cuts all over my hand from trying to transform the thing.
  12. I don't seem to hurting the plastic so far....I've been pulling them forward. Is that right?
  13. I just got a brand-new Yamato VF-17D. I watched a couple of "how to" transform vids, but for the life of me I cannot seem to get the hip bars to turn all the way down like it seems they are supposed to. I can pull them out, and they turn down together to about 90 degrees forward but then stop. After that the resistance for them to move further down seems like it's not meant to happen. I have tugged, and twisted, and pulled with no luck. I think I've actually loosened the right ball joint hip with all my forced pressure. That leg now seems a little floppier then it was when I started out. Suggestions or tips would be appreciated
  14. Maybe now this can finally be released!
  15. For those waiting for an extended Blu-Ray version of "The Hobbit: An unexpected journey", apparently there will be one. But not until December 2013 right before The Desolation of Smaug hits theatres. I read elsewhere the extra run-time will be between 30 to 50 minutes longer then the theatrical version. http://herocomplex.latimes.com/movies/hobbit-blu-ray-release-march-19-wont-have-extended-edition/#/0
  16. Well I just splurged for the VF-19F, VF19P and VF-17D. I was going to get them anyway, but I was holding out for a HLJ sale. I figured I'd grab them now just in case though. Especially the 19F. It seems to be slowly vanishing as far as online shops go. And I know I'm the minority here, but as much as I would hate to see Yamato/Arcadia stop making valks, I also wouldn't be too upset if it happened. I've spent a lot of money on these things. I'm getting older, and I don't have unlimited room to display them. I would feel a sense of relief sitting back, looking at my collection and patting myself on the back for a job well done. Maybe add the occasional Bandai Macross F Valk to the mix (assuming I can actually score them).
  17. Can anyone read the info at the bottom of this page? http://tamashii.jp/special/shma/index.html EDIT: Ignore this. I realized it's an advertisement for a book that was released 02/2012. Not sure why they are advertising a book that's over a year old and out of print. Pictures of my collection thus far
  18. I finally received my stand-alone fast packs yesterday to add to my VF-17S. After opening it up I questioned my sanity for paying $66 shipped for 4 tiny pieces of blue plastic in a way larger the it needs to be size box. They look nice on my Valk. But I'm still hoping someone from Yamato shows up and offers to clean my house or sing to me or show me a magic trick or something to justify the cost.
  19. Because you're Sid from Toy Story?
  20. and the pre-orders are generally during the early hours of the morning...US time that is. Usually people wake up to see they completely missed the boat during the night.
  21. Dangard, I wasn't complaining about the spam as much as questioning the methods of spammers. Several years ago my browser was infected by adware which kept redirecting me to an online casino. It was a bitch to remove. Anyways, the whole time I was thinking, do they really expect me to now spend money at this site they are forcing me to visit? I just don't see the effectiveness of tactics like that, or like the spambot that hit this site this morning. "Wow, look at all those great drug deals that are clogging the forum! I think I'll go shop there now!"
  22. and they are still posting apparently...what a waste.
  23. Ok, so someone wastes their time mucking up a forum with hundreds of links to drugs. My questions is, after making us all deal with that, who in their right mind would go ahead and place an order to the very place the spammed the hell out of our forum?
  24. Despite the logic and info that supports that answer, I think it still depends on who you ask
  25. Congrats Lupin. You brought down the mighty HLJ by uncovering a scalper/supplier operation that was going on under all of our noses. We all owe it to your "HLJ pro-scalper" topic. I'm sure at least 1-2 people actually bought your story and emailed strongly worded letters to HLJ resulting in a PR disaster for the company. I'm amazed how quickly they recovered and managed to stay in business despite the horrific backlash you brought upon them. clap, clap, clap. I'm sorry I doubted you.
