  1. Thanks for posting the screen Hurin. You saved me the trouble of doing it when I got home
  2. Max's heatshield is clearly blue while he is in his VF-1A. There is no clear shot of him in battroid in his VF-1S. He is only in battroid mode during his duel with Milia while inside the Meltran ship. He transforms into battroid just as he enters the ship and you barely get a peak of his heatshield as it comes down in "natural light." At that point, it's hard to tell, but it does look black (but in the same way that Hikaru's looks black during non-detail frames). From that point, the scene is filled with funky lighting and flash effects (it's nearly monochrome!). So, it's basically inconclusive. But the fact that his 1A has a blue one leads me to believe that his 1S does as well (as Hikaru's does). H 321083[/snapback] I'll grab screens when I get home tonight after work. But if you watch the battle with Max and Millia, there are several shots where his shield is black and not blue. I've grabbed screens for this discussion before, but unfortunately that was a few computers ago and they are long gone. I think there are also pictures in the gold book from this battle that show the shield as black. PS I meant the 1S was not shown as blue, not the 1A, sorry for not clarifying.
  3. If you look closely on DYRL? Max has a black heatshield and is never shown with a blue one.
  4. Personally I've always been a fan of the black heatshield on all the DYRL? 1S's
  5. That looks totally sweet Rohby! But, that little guy needs some wing missiles! It might be to late in the game, but I have some spare 1/60 missles (as do most here I imagine) that would look very nice mounted on it. I doubt you could fit more then 1 set per wing considering their size, but is there any way you could add holes to accommodate 1/60 missiles?
  6. SDCC pics of a painted beta here: http://photos.figures.com/photo/1/showgallery.php?cat=2966
  7. Not making it into a TV series again is the opposite of what Joss commented about on one of the DVD's special features. He said after the movie is out he hopes someone will say "hey, that would make a great TV series!"
  8. Hi Rohby I'm interested in one too, if you could put me on the list I'd appreciate it. Thanks Oh, is there anyway you can take a pic of the JM next to something like a 1/48 so we can see the size comparison? Thanks again
  9. Big Bad toystore just added it to their pre-orders for $164.99 So I guess it's not a HLJ or some show exclusive. PRE-ORDER 1/48 MACROSS: Yamato has just announced the 1/48 Scale VF-1A Production Type figure. Pre-Orders are available for $164.99 and the figure is scheduled to arrive in September. http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/toystan.asp?Queryid=pr590 Notice they also list a sept release date.
  10. Thanks for the info. The broken part isn't really that big deal. It's just the little round rings that hold the leg on. The thigh and lower leg connection is tight enough that the leg doesn't fall off without the rings. And with the leg armor on, you can't even really tell. Again, I had them since they first came out and didn't do much with either. Last night I dug them out and all I did is bend the leg at the knee on 002 and the pieces just fell off. I sort of wished I would have kept going with the series and not let those deter me. Now if I want to pick the rest up I'm pretty far behind. Most of them seem to be obtainable though. And only a few are out of production according to HLJ.
  11. I purchased Fix 001 & 002 when they first came out. Honestly I was very dissapointed. They look sort of cool, but they feel so fragile (I already broke the leg from 002 and I barely touched it) Are the Fix's beyond those 2 much better?
  12. I heard the HCM pro's were more fragile and very small. But of course that's just heresay. Does anyone have a pic of a HCM pro next to a MSIA so I can get an idea of the size?
  13. thanks for the info guys. I think my biggest concern/question is if this is a new line or just re-doing some of the previous MSIA's? Seems the concensus is it's just a re-do. Which I honestly don't want just a few mechs that are better versions of what I've already gotten rid of. So I guess for now I'll just wait and see where the line goes. Thanks again.
  14. Hi I sold off all my regular MSIA's a while back. I saw the new EMSIA's and they look pretty nice. So I'm debating on if I should start a new collection up again. The thing is I'm not sure if they are just remaking some old MSIA's or if this is a while new line. I heard that they are bigger then the regular MSIA's so pehaps they are not meant to go together. From the rumor mill, does anyone know if they will make these for other series besides Zeta? And are they the same scale as FIXX/Zenography? Thanks
  15. no, OPEN IT! Maybe they will be so impressed they will throw some trading money Yamato's way.
  16. Thanks to all who commented on my collection. Much appreciated
