I cannot say I agree with all the nitpicking either. However, in a bit of defense for MW vs TFW, as far as I know, Transformers don't generally cost $200 to $300.

well if Bandai wanted to make sure they didn't have any VF-171 stock gathering dust on shelves...I'd say mission accomplished

The only reason I ordered from multiple places is because one of those places happened to be BBTS, which already burned me so to speak with the VF-25s. Had that not have happened, or I had gotten an order in with a place like CD Japan/HLJ/AmiAmi, first, I would have stuck with only ordering one.

CD Japan had closed their pre-order, however last night they briefly opened it up again for what appeared to be only 2 or 3 slots. I managed to score one. Even though I got screwed out of a 25s by BBTS, I went ahead and ordered a VF-171. Sadly, I'm more desperate to get a pre-order in SOMEWHERE then I am confident BBTS will deliver. Guess we'll see come June.

I'll be honest dude,normally I have nothing against you but you're coming across as a bit smug here. People are annoyed, I honestly don't blame them. When news of this being released hit, we were excited. Lots of us were waiting for pre-orders to show up. They did and then they were gone in a day. Sure they might open up again. But now, it's not just about getting a pre-order in and waiting for it to show up in the mail, it's about getting one in during a small window that may or may not actually open up. Otherwise, the option is to pay double or more for scalpers. We're Macross fans. That's why we are here. Bandai is making nice Valks we want to our collection, but they are becoming unusually hard to come by. That makes people upset. Not sure why our unhappiness bothers you so much there Mr Spock. I guess we're not all lucky enough to be as in control of our emotions regarding things we like to have as you are.

You're right. It makes sense. Maybe HLJ decided they only wanted to sell a few of these so they closed their pre-orders after they got what they considered "enough" orders. Places like AmiAmi and Hobbysearch followed HLJ's lead and closed theirs early as well because selling small amounts of something for no reason is good business

Hobbysearch's pre-order started today and is already closed as well. I really don't think all these retailers just happened to all have small windows just because it seemed like the thing to do.

Always love your pics, but when you put valks on that soft, fuzzy, white blanket it reminds me of a Playboy shoot. Throw down a few rose pedals and put the valks in more "suggestive" poses and you could have some serious mech porn going on. -
Only about $50 more then I paid to get mine new from AmiAmi. It might be worth it though. If Bandai re-releases it again and it's anything like the YF-29 re-release, it could be nothing more then a "blink and you miss it" window

I am not saying they won't make them someday. They were pumping out the Wing releases quite steadily, but there does not appear to be anymore in the near future. Especially with this year MG releases starting off with a large focus on Seed.

I was enjoying the MG Gundam wing kits. But looks like those are done for a while. Wish they would have at least finished off Endless Waltz

I believe they really didn't have too re-issue the V1's because they were pretty readily available. You could find most of them a while later after release unlike the renewals which seem to sell out at the pre-order stage. The only one I remember them re-releasing was the VF-25f with that blue-tinted plastic and the lighter blue super parts. I would bet that Bandai will re-release the renewals, especially considering the 30th anniv. However, I sincerely doubt there will be any parts bundles. Again, if I was to bet, I would put my money on the super/armored parts staying aTamashii web shop exclusive.

Saw it this weekend. I thought it was great. I asked around my office if anyone else saw it. No one even heard of it. Which is usually to be expected for a "good" movie. Spoileriffic comments

Hikaru 1J super did not have the collapsible gun and did have the arm covers on both it's arms and Fast-Pack arm armor. But that was the only Fast-Pack type that was set up that way.

The only V1's that came with the arm covers were ones that did not have collapsible gun-pod handles. I believe the Hikaru 1J was the last to have them. And I'm pretty sure the VF-1D came later so it should not have the covers.

+2 Love the design and colors EXCEPT the gray. It looks way out of place and does not match the source anyway. "Dear Yamato, please remove gray on the nose and then take my money. Thank you"

I transformed my VF-25s to Battroid and did not notice any loose wing issue. So I'm not sure if mine is ok or if I am not catching on to what the actual problem is. The thing I can say about it is Ozma....needs...armor...badly sucks the release date is so far off...
