Nice work

DAT - sweet Thanks WOZ wongster - all three of my models above are , nurbs models (surfaces) , not polys , I will make them poly's before rendering them in Maxon . The idea is 2 later use a 3D printer or CAM to make "real" models from these. U can use polygons , but smoothness is a problem . I will add a example of a old model that the guys here have seen many ,many times , but to get that kind of smoothness , the poly count is huge , while a nurbs model is much smaller in size .... promethuem5 - I think he meant orthographic views or plan views

This thread rocks mechaninac - excelent , show us more . Don't have info on the Destroid , try AlphaHX wongster - Not bad , turn the Gunpod so we can see more profile , which back ground are u using for the HDRI ? DAT - Sorry , I feel the same ,when I see the yours and other people stuff . Your valk has only been redone 3 times , try 5 .... Couldnot sleep last night but ....

Ceil - welcome , very difficult answer , every person models differently and it depends on the tools you have. I use Rhino , Solid Edge and Maxon .......trying to learn Maya and it's taking forever . I Try and break down the model into basic 3D shapes , I decide which will have the biggest effect on the model and start with that , then start to build around it. Not sure that helps , but the one thing I know is .... practise , practise , practise and some more practise . This is a UUM-7 ( Big square , missle box) , took 2 1/2 hours , used Solid Edge to create a parametric model ( dimension driven )
