Its like the decade thing with music. Most people have a decade that they prefer musically, and they will often defend that decade at the expense of all others. ie "The best rock came out of the 70's maaaaan, and nothing else before or since has been as good!!" Such views alienate a lot of people from each other and some can be real Nazi's about it. Taksraven

What was wrong with the 70's?? Taksraven

Bendoforafriend probably sat there silently crying his eyes out after that. Would have been a great sight to behold..... Taksraven

Just reading through the info for the last few episodes of the current season of Who. Interesting to note that will be making a return appearance, the first time he has been on the show since the 1970's. Not likely that he will be playing any character he portrayed in the past, there does not seem to be too much scope for it. (although, the would be an interesting character to return.) I dunno, I'm still leaning towards a appearance. Taksraven

Man, he would never get hired by HG as a scriptwriter, 'cause he failed to mention "Minmei's MASSIVE 32DD heaving bosoms!!" (and even that is probably expressing it to eloquently for them) Taksraven

Anybody care to post a picture of this, since some of us have had our robotech.com accounts shut down for some reason. (tee hee) Taksraven

This is how many Australians were introduced to Ronnie James Dio. I don't know if it is too well known in Asia and the States, but it is known in Europe. Enjoy, and remember, Love is All....... Taksraven

I love the part where he says that *he doesn't really like Macross anyway* And my reaction to that is "Oh Yeah!" "OH YEAH!!" "OH YEAH!!!" "REALLY!!!!" Clearly this is a man who only loves Mospeada and Southern Cross!! Its a wonder he got into RT at all since he would have to have sat through the b-o-r-i-n-g Macross crap at the start! I can put up with a lot of things but his blatant LIES like that piss me off. Also, if you watch the video you will note that his hands are below frame most of the time and I know what he is doing with them. It must have been hard for him to resist touching his nipples as well...... Yuk. Taksraven

I dunno, the insanity in 25 seconds tearing s h i t out of him is pretty good. A classic clip.....Taksraven

QUASI original??? In which Bizzaro universe is that possible? You can't use the word original in the same sentence as. The Sentinels. (See what I did there) Taksraven

I've been trying to think about the climax that they are working up to this season, with the likelyhood that it will feature another returning enemy. Taksraven

OK, Gatchaman +3?? I don't think so. Crappy "viral" marketing campaign normally = crappy film however. Taksraven

I dunno, I have been becoming more and more dissatisfied with this season as it progresses. There seems to be problems with the story structures or the such. I dunno. Taksraven

Its a great little film. Interesting ideas, stunning animation, etc. The weird mishmash of serious Sci-fi and comedy is, well, weird, but it works. I was happy to get it on DVD a few years ago. Taksraven

Oh don't worry, as a franchise now its deader than flares, we all know that. But it was part of a larger "explosion" of anime during the 80's. (And thats refuting the claims of those that RT single-handedly had a major impact on anime and its availability in the west) Taksraven

Nup, I would never limit the moderate success of anime to the west to such a small time-frame. Its been a REALLY long slowburn: (If anybody wants to correct me or make additions feel free, I know that there are plenty of mistakes here....) * The First Wave of anime interest in the west started in the late 60's early 70's with programs such as the b&w Astroboy. (was Gigantor ever seen in the west, I suspect it was) * Second wave. A fairly big one. Late 70's early 80's with the popularity of Battle of the Planets, Star Blazers, Kimba the White Lion and the colour series of Astro-Boy. * Third wave. Late 80's & early 90's. Shows like Robotech, Voltron and I think that Akira did a lot as well. Leads almost directly on to the last really discernable wave and that was when Manga started releasing a lot of the stuff they had got. (Macross Plus, Fist of the North Star, Ninja Scroll, etc) and that pretty much leads us up to today. You also have to factor in things like the introduction of home video which created a market for a lot of stuff that couldn't get on tv, etc......... Anyway, like I said, its hard to narrow it down to one era. Taksraven
